generally you wont force neutral reset it just happens naturally but always be aware of your options and if you have a dodge before pressuring them/going in, wake ups are okay but dont constantly do them (attacking right after dodging) and same for dodging in neutral, sometimes it can be good to wait a second before going in to make sure you have a dodge.
but really its something that happens normally based on the tempo of the game

if you get stutters while using this, use just -framefix instead.

I dont really think theres "best" settings, it depends what your goal is in training mode

usually just damage reset for stringing the bot and if you're practising a specific combo you'd use damage and position reset

you can use random dodge to practise reacting to dodges but generally you'll want to do that in an actual game because reacting to dodges is done when you're ready for a dodge (but dont know exactly where they will dodge)

but like generally training mode is used for warming up (actual games are fine too) or practising a combo/string, you can go and hit the bot around for fun if you enjoy that but generally theres more to learn from actual games rather than training mode @vivid laurel

I recommend PXL, Astronaut HQ, Brawl League, and also there are clans that actually promote Clan-Only tournaments with specific policies and rules like my clan (but my clan is dead now anyways meh)

Check Reddit for indie Brawlhalla Tournaments or try to find an active clan that does this kind of work. (I'll revive mine later meh)

because if true combos are the case then axe is one of the most reliant on true combos, tho that could be said for a lot of weapons, scythe and gs dont have many true combos that consistently can be used and rely on reads and attacks stringed together

hmm okay, well gauntlets dlight > slight is true (undodgable) but rec is a string (able to dodge out of). I would say any weapon can really be played without knowing the "combos" wholly, but i suppose for newer players lance can be pretty destructive and most of them dont actually use the slight (true) combos that it has

scythe and greatsword dont have true combos (that you will hit consistently unless fishing for them) but rely on stringing together light attacks

i guess katars are pretty freestyle, hitting slight gives you true combos but most of what you will do in a game is string together your light attacks and read your opponent (make up combos, kinda), however they have a "half pipe" which you can default to once they have no dodge for high damage

ye in the end play whatevers fun, learning the true combos of your weapon isn't too difficult especially if its a simpler weapon and you wont have to worry too much about the others

knowing the other weapons true combos is good because you'll want to be dodging out of those combos, but for now just get a grip with the game and movement, use dash, have fun, learn sigs, etc

issue that makes the game essentially unplayable. I thought i was an issue with the anticheat, turns out it's not. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, tried running without anticheat, verified game files, waited for updates, sent in a few bug reports directly, and nothing

the issue itself is really weird, when i start to load in into any online match the game will freeze for a few seconds, sometimes giving the ".exe is not responding" and will eventually load in. In game, i can seemingly control my own character just fine, but everyone else drifts around like bad ai. They attack with no one around, and sometimes just walk off the map. If I finish the match, the game freezes again, and will eventually bring me to results screen. All of my stats are 0, and no xp or rewards are gained from the match. When I look at the replays, it shows what actually happened. Everyone else is playing normally, and I'm the one not doing anything.

I've never even heard of a bug like this before so I assume this issue must be pretty unique. Also, there weren't any resources on the support page that worked.

Once you get into the game it generally sounds like very bad lag is the issue (possibly packet loss) but if its not responding that wouldn't be caused by lag

Noticed that kyna from SA uses very few sigs while dot from SEA throws out a lot of them, even when the opponent has low health.
Is this just a choice of playstyle? I assume SA is better than SEA but do you think high sig usage on asuri can work at top level play in other regions too?

I think the point is that, its not dependant on region, or whether a strategy like that works, but the skill of the player doing it and the player they are fighting. naturally eu/na and sa are the "better" regions because theres the most competition there, but using a large amount of sigs is still viable in these three regions if you're using your sigs in a very hard to punish way - think wu shang, ember, characters like that, its the norm to use their sigs because they're comparable to light attack.

now looking at asuri's katars she has nsig which can be near unpunishable offstage especially if you dont have wall control and dsig which can be used out of slight and even if it misses the opponent needs to have dodged the right way to get a clean punish before the asuri player can dash away, both of those are pretty spammable even at the highest level imo. Moves like sword ssig can be used where you fall offstage after missing and you'll generally get away with it unless you insta jump after missing, even in eu/na/sa. Sword nsig is definitely a mid sig but it still finds use even in pro games

In eu/na/sa generally they do have more optimal gameplay and moves like asuris ssigs aren't really seen because they're very high risk to mid/high reward (depending on context) and thats generally seen as worse than high reward low risk plays, but if used right literally every character can have gimmicks that can win games. Nobody in eu/na/sa want to play recently because her sigs really aren't great compared to the other katar legends and sword has fallen out of favour (still good but not best) recently, so we cant really say whether an asuri playing like that (high sig usage, as long as its done right) would place high or not in the top 3 regions

My bad i've been slacking on watching SA, but ye nsig and even sword ssig def have high reward potential as they can both kill in orange, its more indicative of the players skill and being able to use them in a less risky way rather than the sigs power if we see them work in pro level imo
