hey so! for whatever reason my pc will not run eac (ive verified that it should work based on the fact that i have a 64 bit os, windows 11, etc)
ive attempted using all of the fixes listed earlier in the channel (#help-booth message) and the fixes on the website
my game works if i use -noeac in the properties but i would like to be able to play ranked etc
but without that property it doesn't even bring up the launching eac screen and will just stop the game with no error message at all

it used to be that if i stopped steam completely (via task manager) and launched the eac through my steam folders the game would launch and eac would be working, however, this is no longer the case
would you guys happen to have any fixes not already listed above or on the website?

if you're playing for fun you are inevitably going to hit a wall around the point where opponents are actively avoiding your options

if you're playing to win then you need to accept that the way to win isn't necessarily going to be the most fun

but the general idea to counter players like that is to trick them into believing your vulnerable OR get right up close and personal with them so they feel forced to make a decision

you just need to figure out what they're going to do next and/or force them into choosing something to do that's favourable for you

don't believe you need to win to get the mission just get the damage

techtest alone reduces input lag and uncaps fps to refresh rate
-framefix improves some more stuff

now removing vsync allows fps to be fully uncapped and also reduces input lag
but that can cause stutters
so you manually re-cap it with -setfps 144

it's related to how vsync works
there's something called screen tearing that means that the rate the game runs and the rate the screen draws the game which can cause visual stutters

if you stutter with techtest and just -framefix, then there's not much you can do
try and see if -noeac removes the stutters. this disables eac.
if it does, there's something you can do to try and deal with it

I cant directly you to exactly the right place, but go into the Radeon software and looking for Brawlhalla-specific settings, there you can set the game to open in windowed mode, once its set to windowed mode try opening the game again

Unfortunately there's no launch option for windowed mode, and the easiest work around I have (since alt+enter doesn't work) to open the game in windowed mode is to do it through your GPU drivers, if it helps NVIDIAs is here, after clicking on brawlhalla:

the only other way I know to change it to windowed mode is to literally navigate the menus through the black screen, which does work but its pretty awkward

-framefix is for input delay adjustments but without the uncapped frames

if you want over your refresh rate you must use framefixunbounded
