doesn't sound like an internet issue, but today there were network changes implemented, you can disable them by typing /NETWORKNEXTDISABLE in the chat, if nothing changes i'd just renable them by typing /NETWORKNEXTENABLE.
I dont think anything in this last update would have the affect of your entire game freezing but you could try turning on/off (if you already used it) the techtest build of the game, see message below

swiftshader is not a solution to the issue just because it makes the game run on unsupported systems it still gets flagged on eac (unsure if that can lead to ban, dont want to try) and telling people to download dlls online is a really easy way to get a virus, dont do this, download it from the opensource github

it also emulates actual software and makes the game horrible to run in the first place

it depends, for 32 bit and windows vista or older its easily fixed without a pc upgrade, for those with cpus like core 2 duo it may be without upgrading, but spreading those dlls that could have come from anywhere its a terrible idea and noone here can recommend it, as they can easily contain viruses/malware/tracking/etc. at the very least swiftshader should be downloaded from the official github

I keep getting kicked off brawlhalla after a minute of playing. It says "game security violation #0000001A". This never happened before the recent update. This is my first time playing since the update. I've never even attempted to download any exploits for brawlhalla. If you're getting an error related to "easy anti cheat", add the -noeac launch option in Steam -> Brawlhalla -> Settings -> Properties:

1. Right click the game in the library
2. Click properties (see image below)
3. Go to the general section
4. In the bottom text field, add -noeac

Brawlhalla will now launch with Easy Anti-Cheat disabled.

Please note that you will not be able to play in Ranked or Tournament lobbies when EAC is disabled. As of Patch 6.07, EAC is required for Ranked and Tournament lobbies.

thats bizarre, you can probably spam escape right after pressing the power button (presuming the power button since you cant do anything else) and you should be able to cancel the shutdown, it'll close everything but at least it makes it easier to troubleshoot this issue
