my predict for the new weapon, shield. On the right some possible skin ideas along with an orb and a sword, and on the bottow an idea for the skyforged version. The animation on the bottom could be maybe the dlight attack, similar to kaya spear dsig but it has a shorter duration and a hitbox closer to your character. When hit, you follow through with another attack.

a shield looks too defensive to be called a "weapon", but similar to greatsword if it was a big greatshield or whatver you would call it, that would just slide along the map like hammer when you walk with it then maybe

in a game where we have a cannon that you use to bash people with instead of shooting cannonballs, and use a floating ball to strike enemies, I don't think a shield is too far from the concept of weapon, but I see the point. Greatshield most likely won't be, because the next weapon is a light weapon, given that last one (greatsword) was heavy

IDK if this helps as a tip, but when adding light to an image I recommend you to look where would the light fall in the image (helps to see which parts are gonna receive more light, where would shadows generate, that kind of stuff).
Again, IDK if this helps you. I'm not an expert when it comes to shading

Here's Hermes, The Herald!

He's the messenger of the gods, using his caduceus staff and modified sandals to work as battle boots to run circles around his opponents in the arena. If you have any questions please ask away!
