ofc I thought about what will happen with the top 2 teams getting placed in the same group week 1. However, if we did do a revival match/double elim/promoting 2 from each group, the number of games each team will play will increase from 4-5 to 7-9 or we have to extend the tournament for another week. That is too much for the average player/the organization of the tournament. In my original plan was to have this double elim /insurance that you don't just instantly get out in prelims just by bad luck. However, purely due to the sheer size of the tournament we can't do this.

(Ps what they originally planned was a single elim from groups of 8, I was boutta when I heard that. Went on a 4 hr conversation saying we need smth better)
