Most ppl been trying to break the ai of all the NPC's but I've been pushing the conversations as realistic and genuine as I do in real life and there difference is so negligible, it's scary

I am so upset 😭 I finished the first main story because I wanted to unlock the rest of the map (and I was also invested in the lore of the story of course) but I am also a huge exploration and side quests person so my thought was to unlock the whole map so I can take my time exploring all the side stuff as well. I was lucky enough to avoid spoilers too for the story but also because of that I had no idea that I would never be able to go back to a lot of the side quests after finishing the first story… Now I have so much incomplete stuff that I can’t even try and complete. I wish the devs put a warning or something before the whole “bandits coming fireside camp thing” so we knew not to progress further if we had incomplete side quests 😅

If you have any unfinished business in Blissful Retreat, you can still finish it. In front of the old ruined pagoda is Yi Dao's sword. You can touch it and enter into a dream version of Blissful Retreat where everyone is still alive and you can finish the sidequests there.

Especially with the noise she makes, there is no apparent reason to not just make her disappear, that's the only argument I can accept for her being alive on the future, somehow capturing her being part of the objective

Yep. There's also more things implied, like how Wang Qing deliberately sent Jiang after He Ran to make sure Jiang wasn't around to stop him from using the box. It's also implied that Wang Qing decided to use the box precisely because it meant he could ensure Jiang's life at the cost of his own, and that Jiang never revealed the truth about Wang's death to avoid dishonoring his memory, meaning he let himself be blamed for patricide for decades just for the General's sake.

Basically He Ran got mind broken multiple ways.
