I'd love to see Chengdu eventually
Even Hunan province would be cool too, very mountainous though
Guys, how do I unlock the fate incense burner? I have no idea
what does the lvl give

||She escaped, we are going to Kaifeng to look for her/figure out where she is||
no sure if i'm dumb but as new player the whole story is very confusing and hard to follow is because english translation or what?
The translation is not great yeah lots of missing context
Freakin kaifeng outskirt full of scammazzzz
Guys whoās Li Hua again
Every Chinese game Iāve played has one big city area thatās just full of scammers itās a meme at this point
if you need help understanding the main story u can dm me, and ill try my best to help. u can also look at the pinned messages here and sometimes people will explain the lore
Also i dont understand why the game doesnt give the option to review the dialogue of to stop from keep going
yeah that is something i dont really like, you could send feedback about that in the game, and maybe if enough people talk about it theyll change how it is
i know nothing of lore
What do you mean?
You kill her, she's gone.
@cold pendant could you explain about the blue bug we see multiples time at the start of the game ?
What was the "Northern Campaign" that keeps being mentioned
But the dude you give the wooden bird to says heāll get it to her no matter what
plus i imagine you can do the quest before the main quest, and she shows up there so
He doesn't know she's dead?
i went to this place near the riverside bview boundary stone & went inside a cave full of aureate people & a chief - theres nothing else directing me here, but is this a lore-important place? the chief was talking about the aureate stationing people in qinghe and kaifeng before i murked them all
there's historical context behind that. Basically Northern China was in the hands of the Khitan, and the 1st emperor of Song tried his whole life to reclaim it
Seems a bit off that the other 2 who argued for the gold making vessel stay alive but mot her
After Chapter 1, you get a letter in your ingame mail thatās from Wuque to Aunt Han. It confirms that Aunt Han is the water lady and she has been invited to Kaifeng. Thatās why we are going to Kaifeng to find Aunt Han/Wuque
Can someone explain the side story with He Ran and the general? I'm confused
He Ran delivered a package containing something that would convert the General into a Sleeping Puppet, which resulted in Jiang killing the General. But He Ran only saw the part where Jiang killed the General, thus blaming him for the General's death.
Ahhh
Where was the sleeping puppet part told? I must've missed it
And why did they do that to begin with
Implied, because the General was said to die multiple times.
Ah
Twice
Sad I deleted the mail
Did they give a reason to why they did that? Or who?
I think the package was sent by (I forgot the name, basically the guy in the beginning with the white hair)
Emperor Ai controls those puppets
O
Sephiroth
I knew it, it was him all along
Did Sephiroth do this?
Jk, it was emperor Ai
You also see him at the mission where you fight void king
Where winds meet mobile will not release on mobile in next month. People who posted fake email images on twitter, they should stop.
I asked them yesterday.. here is the reply from officials
A'ran > ruby ..just saying
It showed in the cutscene when you were a baby. It showed when you fought a crazy horse boss.
Icic
and in gleaming abyss questline
asdasd
How old is our Mc btw? It was said s/he left home or whatever when s/he was 16 but how much time has passed since then?
During the kaifeng questline probably 1 2 months
Dang...it is just weird to see others play him as an old dude with the young voice and the fact he is just 16 š
It is funny tho
Yeah, the character is even older than uncle jiang and aunt han lol
HI! I dmed you cause I can't keep up with what the main story really is telling.
which part do you find hard to follow right now?
Basically Kaifeng journey. After Ruby died and Aunt Han saved us. I don't know why we went to Kaifeng and what is the purpose. All I know is that we are looking for Aunt Han. But why? All blurry to me. Story is great, it's just hard to follow. Maybe the English translation ain't that good.
In your mail there's a letter sent to Aunt han from a guy named Wuque
that's where u find out that Aunt Han has been in contact with him, and he's the only clue you have to look for aunt Han
hence the MC set off to Kaifeng to search for this guy
try to check your mail if u can find the letter
Basically what KAM said, but as to why we're looking for aunt Han is because she's missing. I do think that part is tad weird. We see in the scene we're rescued by auntie and then it immediately skips to us on the graveyard.
Also the whole village believes that the MC is dead, and MC is hiding their identity for their own safety (finally the protagonist does the sensible thing), so he/she can't stay in Qinghe anyway.
tysm!
Its the stress getting to them, early gray hairs
Well damn, I shouldnāt have read that first sentence š
Does anyone know how to unlink your account?
It starts in the winery with a big cauldron in the middle
You'll trigger the encounter: Her Legacy after picking up an object there
Bro I am reading the dialogues and I am lost on the story
Lore
whats the name of the scholar who we go with to return the eyes to the moon goddess?
what part?
in cn with a quest npc who is also a friendbale npc dies before you friend them, how do they friend them afterwords?
Girl delete this rn it doesnt go here it goes in #1425508678219468811 the game just came out
Everything from the beginning like what is going on I am at the part where I defeat heartseeker
Your cultivation is too low therefore you cannot comprehend the world around you.
On the full note from start to Heartseeker:
LOL facts
||You are the baby Uncle Jiang brought to Qinghe to hide away.||
||You eventually got adopted by Aunt Han when he went somewhere for long time.||
||timeskip. You are now 16 years old. You are going to a small festival in General's Shrine with Ruby. Some guy robbed you of your jade pedant.|| ||You're not overly worried about losing it though.||
||After the tourney, you end up going to Heaven's pier. Where everyone is getting ready to celebrate the Drunken Immortal.||
||You go to Blissful retreat where your home is. Your aunt is mad that you're late.|| ||You serve some wine to very beautiful fairy, so beautiful she wrecked your heart.||
||You eventually do some chores, and spiral off into getting more jar for Aunt Han. Cue Pottery visit.||
||You meet Di Yao. He ask you to take him to Blissful retreat. You jebaited him.||
||The jebaiting doesn't last very long, you end up being saved by him when the mysterious gang appears to shoot you with arrows.||
||You evasdrop on Aunt and Yi Dao talking.||
||You decide to go investigate the mystery basement behind the clinic.||
||You read too many manuals and underwent a qi deviation which meant confronting a heart demon who happened to take on the form of that very beautiful fairy.||
I HOPE i got the timeline correctly. Been a hot minute.
Do not bother asking about ||Faceless||, ||Aunt Han being Water Lady||, ||What is the mysterious gang||, or ||why your uncle is gone|| as these are way later.
Your burning questions will be answered, baby cultivator.
Oh those were mainly the questions I had LOL
But thanks!
Yeah there's no point in asking these questions because they're spoilers.
Treat C1 as "wtf is going on" and C2 as "I got some answers but now more questions."
theres another storyline more to do with the world than the mc that you shouldnt miss out on
which one? Is that chapter 2 storyline?
sthing Tian, he's at the back of evercare clinic, yaoyao mentions his name too
Unfated Tian. He's not a scholar. He's a doctor.
Also are the lost chapters related to the storyline in anyway I don't see how they connect
They are world building.
They mainly offer insights on some aspect of the world, or give you an idea of the bigger picture.
there are a lot of clues u can easily miss during those lost chapters, you have to collect them all and piece everything together, then they will make sense
Is he Tian Qi, Tian Yings lil bro?
Oh god
Wait which one is this?
No idea. I wouldn't relate them considering yeah.
in the menu section, dark surges usually recap all the clues u found
Dark surges are non-mainstory of Lost Chapters. They are usually completely unpredictable in acquiring method, sometimes entirely missable, and very possibly to never complete it.
no, its a Qinghe story. The connected story of the Jianghu legacy basically, telling Tian Yings story. Tian Yings story is more interesting than mcs so far
It is literal game of Easter egg except the eggs are freaking riddles.
Yeah don't spoil that yet. @dire acorn
these things, the comments usually have clues towards them
I will have to inform you that this isn't spoiler.
I wasnt going to, I want people to discover the lore for themself
why is unfated tian unfated
maybe he has no fate? maybe his fate shouldve ended a long time ago? i wonder
I need the spoilers in my dm
strongly recommend searching for Tian Yings story if you (like me) didnt understand + skipped through Jianghu legacy and other quests
Will do
Tian ying is the mc of qinghe. What happened between Lunar goddess and him was particularly unfortunate
Tian Yings been through it for sure
We will be tianying Tian Ying for his dark lore, wonāt we? Pun intended.
You guys think we will see any Romance of the 3 Kingdom references? Seeing how it took place around the same time
Why are we fighting Tian Ying? He seems like a good guy...
And our character should know it too at that point?
3 kingdoms happened a while ago, this game is set in the beginning of song dynasty so i doubt it
Yet some 800 years ago lmao
wait... is Li zhenzhen from the wraith village????
Because he caused 17 and general wang current situation
Wdym caused, I thought 17 was an unlucky accident (he was told by the emperor that he'd be back when 17 smiths 10k swords, and then just aureates attacked), and wang qing - that happened due to Du Chongwei betrayal?
How was Tian Ying a cause of any of these?
If tian ying didnāt give half orb to 17 and general wang respectively, we wouldnāt fight tian ying.
Oh
You mean general Ye
My bad. The general from bodhi sea
But why can't we be friends with him
Set during a period in a song dynasty, being friends ęå, ę means they must share common point(ęļ¼.
Actually now you mentioned it, I need to read tian ying lore again.
Because Tiang Ying wants you to kill kim
Maybe itās the same reason why we had to fight dao lord.
||It's a staged execution, he fakes his death and then goes away in peace||
I'll link a video hold on
Oh right.. thatās how he is li zhen zhen now
Wut, li zhenzhen was the moon goddess, his girlfriend
No link posts allowed rip
Sorry i meant he took up his gf surname.
||In the major cutscene on the Buddha statue, the statue collapses and Tian Ying sinks into the waterāpresumed dead. Yet moments before he disappears, he smiles.
Later, the protagonist receives a key leading to a small house on the Buddha Light Peak. There, the truth is revealed:
Tian Ying is still alive.
He was the one who spread rumors about his return to lure the masked faction. He has adopted a new identity, now under the surname Liāperhaps in memory of Li Zhenzhen.
He is currently serving as an official
on his way to the Liao Empire.
His mission continues.
||
Oh, ok
bro š i just got a grass turtle and my first thought is, the red heroine would love this
ahh damn i was asking because one of the quest mentioned the Shu Kingdom and it immedietely came to mind so I had to check what time period or dynasty it took place. Would like to see a Guan Yu (God of War avatar) boss fight or something
does this have a fandom now
there are many references to three kingdoms. There's mention of someone being praised and said to be as smart as Zhuge Liang etc. Which I think makes sense. In the setting of the game 3 Kingdom era would be a legend/myth. This takes place roughly 800 years after
from where do I know this explanation
Seeing how the CN folks are going towards the fantasy side of the game, I can only hope we would see the legends and myths in the future. The mythology for the Chinese is so rich and has so many things going
tho to be fair if they really want to they absolutely can add Guan Yu as a boss fight. Tian Ying fight involves Asura manifestation after all.
Reddit.
Google tian ying lore reddit
All good, I was just joking cuz it was my post
you're joking. It was you.. Senior brother. *kowtows

Gotta take the joke to the next level. We need more pranksters in mortal sect š¤£
I need to fullfill my job
is li zhongdui the (idk the term it starts with a P and is the guy wearing the purple robe) of Kaifeng?
it can supposedly make money
Infinite money glitch
We need a 9 mortal sect sticker named "scammed" somewhere.
#1435338461925081220 (I agree)
Can someone spolier to me the actual movies of Murong Yan? I finished the whole quest but still don't get it.
Generals are split among themselves instead of being united under a banner. Some loyal. Some not. And some become rulers.
Murong Yan is just a prisoner to one of four fate.
At least that the gist i got
Waitā¦. aunt han was Qingye?
no, I read apparently qianye is apparenly han's sister or something but that hasn't been a plot point in the english version yet
dont know if it's true, just something people said
Reddit said Qingye is a man?
lol idk
that sounds like a bad translation to me
like a chinese gender neutral term for sibling that got machine translated to brother or something
Zheng Eās story is pretty sad tho ngl
There is a Shu 'kingdom' in the time period the game's set in. It's not the same 'kingdom' as that from the Three Kingdom period.
This Shu kingdom exists between 907-925 and 934-965. Its capital is nowadays Chengdu
did anyone else get a weird issue in the latest story chapter, there was a part where I walked up to the next event and there was like a glitched out cutscene, after the part where you were staying at that poor old lady's house, after that I went to a place and there was like an atcual blank shot of nothing happening for 10+ seconds and then a dialogue choice box popped up where I got to choose between "Ever Normal Granary" and one of the other locations, I picked the granary option, and then it went to the part where we start investigating lord shi. It was really weird, felt like an entire cutscene or section of the story got skipped. Wish I had recorded it.
also wanted to know, in the part where you're following the nine mortal ways instructions to meet the ferryman, at the end whre you yoink the scroll, I didn't pay attention to the "people can see you" icon at the bottom and got immediately caught and put into a chase sequence with the guards and then sent to hide out in the slums. Does that go any differently if you don't get caught using celestial sieze on the scroll?
Who would win great sage former shell or the heroes of jianghu š¤
looks like a translation error, its very common with Chinese and Korean mostly. On another game i play some female characters are translated as "He" purely due to translation errors and doesnt match the official characterization
Even if its not a sect order i go into scholars heart and just spam wrong answers just to mess with people š
The fact that so many people follow my answer is hilarious
||Not error at all. It is highly discussed in China community when it came out too|| Spoiler Alert
I still havent found out how to send fake red envelopes but im gonna be so insufferable
there's no gender neutral term for siblingāits all based on gender and birth order

her younger brother couldnāt be trained like Aunt Han, he was eventually taken to the research institute.
But there is no confirmation for that relationship yet.
Since Qianye Phase 2 have guy armature in some people vision.
considering water lady's ability, it would not be too far off the mark for qianye to be aunt han's former younger brother. it seems like their dad sold them somewhere during their youth and inbetween, somethings happenned.
Murong Yuan's first father was a general of the old dynasty, called later Zhou whose throne was usurped by the current emperor of the Song dynasty. So basically she thought her adoptive dad, general murong volunteered to kill her 1st father when he rebelled (i think she was also adopted then and murong adopted her again)because he refused to surrender to the Song Emperor, whereas the truth was that general murong tried to convince her father to bend the knee but he refused to. She didnt know that and took revenge on general murong, by locking him inside the ship and he went mad, after she knew the truth about this incident she then blamed the Song goverment and decided to join a conspiracy that involves destroying the boat, which is crucial for Song campaigns to unify china
Tq so much!
I mean if she can change faces. It's not farfetched.
No. I've learned chinese. Unlike korean, chinese language is very gender specific.
I didn't encounter any bug at all during the main quest
Has anyone found the Immortality charm?
doesnt change her being bad asf
<@&1231156582469865522> ^
thanks
Is there a lore reason why all the kids are annoying asf?
ss
This game has a guy call a spear a gun the translation isā¦ā¦.
i swear i almost use taichi to throw that one kid off cliff because he faked his kidnapped and then get caught by bandit
Death by cliff would be too generous
Definitely to generous
killer blade is a fraud people in aunt han's bar was talking about how he cut mountains in half but when i saw him he was struggling against NPCs
Tbh they're better than today's brainrotten and screen-glued kids
He does indeed got nerf. Try fight the dream version of him
Who is the eight talents
nice
kids back in song dynasty know sufferings and they annoying levels are not the worst. i tell you this generation we are right now, is the worst ever created.
imagine hearing 67 67 67 the moment you step out of your house.
wuxia titles are often exaggerated, u see titles like heaven splitter demon then its just sum random guy from a random noname place
Literally any gorge will have the lore of like oh yeah this super strong guy dropped his sword and it split the entire earth in two and now we have to build a bridge
Guy will sneeze once in a wuxia novel and a few years later he'll be called Heavenly Gust and they'll say that when it rains it's the leftover residue from that one sneeze
LMAO ACCURATE
the MC's name is Tian Ying?
no, that's a boss. mc's surname and real parents are unknown atm
we playing as the MC right? not the baby he was carrying at the start(i kinda forgot what all happened alrdy)
the baby is the mc
so there was a timeskip and the character we created was the baby?
yeah
yup, and our uncle jiang wulang/yan is the one that adopted us
unc jiang the goat
where did the guy go( the guy at the start) he was attacked by the dude in black right?
The one we forgot about after 10 minutes š
yo what happened to him??? i gotta know or else i wont be able to sleep
We dont really know, it all starts with us trying to find out what happens to him, but here is a long way there
u cute tho, wana do some coop together?
please use #šlooking-for-coop-pvp
has anyone finished the god of killing quest?
They were asking one specific person.
That doesn't really matter, cuz every kind of coop-asking is better suited in #šlooking-for-coop-pvp
That was also meant as an friendly-reminder in case he is currently mainly searching for ppl to play with
Is there a chat for finding a wife? (In game, obvs)
Lol ok
I guess it's "looking for coop" channel to find partnership
Hi, I made a new 5 min video on YouTube called
Where Winds Meet Lore - The Untold Story Behind āBlind to The Worldā Quest
Key points:
- ā How this quest is connected to the Dream Puppet in the main story
- ā What role did Li Zhenzhen play in key historical events
- ā How Tian Ying reacted to all of these
if you canāt be bothered to read all the texts, this short video might help you.
Send link!
Please do it via dm or #šŗmedia
Are there any good videos summarizing the first part of the game? I'm so confused with this game cause it feels as if there's a ton lore they assume you know
I just got to the second main area and the story for it feels a bit more together
looking for that too
Huh
RIP RUBY
Yes
Kaifeng so far is great I actually watched the full cinematic when you get to the city
Real
Anyone read the old lore books?
Wait... do I understand right? If I do the main story and haven't unlocked certain lore in the bright tide/Dark surge thing, I'll be forever locked out of those?
No. Not that I know of. Main story is pretty linear
Just reading the comments on the not-yet-unlocked dark surge objectives and people keep saying that i'll lock myself out of certain parts if I complete the Qinghe storyline o.O
The only "missable" stuffs are the very early things around the aunt's inn. If you really want to you probably want to do stuffs there.
Yeah I unlocked only 1 dots from the 9 of the 1st two collections š©
if I'm being honest it's really not a big deal. Are you aiming for full total completion?
Well, yeah, I'm curious and I mainly play this game for the story
You can still get it from joining a coop world that hasnāt completed ch1 and talking to the npc
is the guy in black in the beginning unc jiang?
what specific npc is this and how does it affect the main story?
ok... will try that. So frustrating!
Zhang Dazhuang at heavenās pier brewery. It just unlocks one of the dark surge fragments about tian ying if you want more lore. No effect on main story
aah I see. Thanks for the info
it seems that heaven's pier has tons of missable stuffs. I missed the dog card game as well
You can still do that in the dream world
Making content hard to get just because you did the main story is stupid as hell
The Crimson Vow outfit has verses from Shui Diao Ge Tou written on it, if anyone was wondering what the writing was. It's a Song Dynasty poem.
The wwm story has a lot of similarities with Mgsv funnily enough, tian yian is venom snake. Was also hard on myself to dig through translations to get a truer understanding of this great game
why does the side quests has to keep emotionally scar me ??
I thought so too, his eyes were similar to him
Coming back to your adopted niece YEARS after you left her with her aunt only to come back and rob her is some diabolical work
can anyone point me towards where the house that || zheng e wants us to leave the letter in|| is at please
I think it's for lore reason if anything and honestly appreciate them going the extra miles to make things sensible. it's not like you'll miss an epic reward if you missed those. If you're trying for full completion I believe that section is the only thing you'll ever miss, due to.. certain things happening in the story
is the part where the imperial officers get beat up by chickens in Kaifeng historically accurate?
./
Apricot Village, has a tree outside it.
Ik she gone but like fr fr Older teen Ruby with rope Dagger and Cooler persona despite losing everything would be sick imoi
seeing lots of questions here about the origins of the mc and chapter 1
watch "What Actually Happened in Qinghe? - Where Winds Meet Full Story Breakdown šSpoilersš" on youtube if you've finished the halo peak / chapter 1 story, VERY good video
has anyone done the "The man in the well" Encounter quest yet? It left me hanging who actually is Li Waš
This is an actual scam, BTW - mods will delete when they see it
curious how the scam works tho
||So the man in the well lied about everything he's actually a criminal who wanted to kill you and replace you which is why he took your clothes and talked about if you cane from a rich upbringing the dead guy you find at the end is actually the hoodlum who you fought off that was killed by "li wa" and left there to make you think it was him||
Is this game going to have gallery for player to watch cutscenes?
I forgor where but i read that CN has it, the global ver just gatekeeping it, idk why
gatekeeping from the lore, I'm dead want to watch master of grain cutscenes again
Yeah lol, i wanted to see the last chapter 1 cutscene again
I hope they add heart threat feature soon, So i can get hurt again
is there a follow up to this story?
no but you can find him loitering around heavens pier
wondering if there's any main story lore recap somewhere like including spoilers til cn ver? feel like I'm getting edged everytime I finish the main story cuz I'm sooo curious
Where do we find that out? Is there another quest later?
Doesn't he want to kill us? why is he loitering around our home turf
your home turf is blissful retreat not heavens pier hes probably hanging around it cause its either were hes actually from or where the guy he killed is from
i mean you just kinda find this out by playing the quest they make it pretty obvious imo
Oh since he already killed the hoodlum to steal an identity there was no need to kill us?
Which means he could change faces
I mean i figured he wasn't sho he said. But the part about him wanting to kill MC wasn't really clear?
he killed the hoodlum thinking it was you when you talk to him after beating him up hes trying to remember the code he overheard you talking to li wa aboutt. he also mentions a little brother which is the one that distracts you while the hoodlum is trying to steal from/ get a look at li wa
the little kid talks about his big brother which is the one who gets killed
you're suppose to figure it out by him being interested about the fact that you seem wealthy and him suddenly wanting to meet you when your clothes fits him
oh wow there was a lot going on in that quest, I must have been dumb to miss all that
dumb like the young master
Do you have the link for the video? I canāt find it when I search
Sent in DMs
is the white lady in the witch fight the real face of witch or who is that white lady
i thought aunt han and the witch were completely different people ??? like werenāt they talking to each other in aunt hans shop ?
Ty!
that drunk girl was witch?
thatās what i thought but on tiktok everyone keeps calling her aunt han
i forgot she existed now that u reminded me , im all confused
we are in kaifeng to look for aunt han arenāt we ?
i have 0 idea lmao i am still in qinghe after fighting the witch at the end i havent progressed
I think people r confused because of the boss looking like aunt Han
coz she put in the face of someone you know right? but in phase 2there are 2 of em a white one and ur aunt han
also isnt aunt han the one who pull us back from explosion in last act , why she gone to kaifeng without saying a word
Iām not sure bc my memory is hazy but Iām pretty sure someone told us to look for a guy ( the young master ahh looking guy inside the money chamber)
does the mc eventually become recognized in the jianghu so all our drip looking like a wuxia overlord starts making sense
ah okay i thought i was just stupid for thinking they werenāt the same person
I assume TikTok players didnāt notice that because even I didnāt
you become so powerful ur hand sweep killings 10000 true immortals
in one of the side quests in keifeng we ask where aunt han is and do a quest specially for her but we donāt see her
I assume the whole exploration thing for flight increases our recognition in the area lore wise
i see , i m still confused to witch's identity š¤£
In the quest for the umbrella talent thereās a list that has aunt hans name on it (people r looking for her and her group?) and we burn the list so that they arenāt found
but i guess thats the future story they have yet to uncover like the past of aunt han and yi dao
yeah but it would also be cool to see it actually reflect in the story and not just a headcanon
all i know is sheās a hottie who came to visit aunt han
aunt han is hotter
thatās the exact reason why i havenāt been dressing fancy and been trying to kinda blend in with npcs and in the dialogue we say we come from a poor family
i love them both x
i try to look as menace as i can with shabby and dark clothes with mask
iām saving my drippy clothes for when we progress more in the story it just doesnāt make sense to me right now
true torture chamber drip
no free outfit looks as drippy so im always the same š¤£
can u send me a pic i love seeing peoples characters and outfits š„°
yeah same, i'm just rocking the qinghe exploration reward + some straw hat
aunt han with open hairs solos

i cant send imgs here lmao
i can dm you mine iām wearing a paid outfit but i dyed it to make it look like an npc outfit
my dms are open lad
ah okie
still mine looks pretty damn same to preset lmao
i tried making jin mu won from legend of northern blade and fumbled š
I assume since itās Wuxia areas donāt have ways of communicating with each other/no migration of people so juss because we r known in one area it doesnāt mean everywhere will have heard of us
Question for midnight blades sect lore: the point is to kill 'sinners' aka people who have lots of negative karma. And seeing that there are a few NPC sect members in public, I take that to mean they refrain from killing people with positive karma? Other wise, they would be a very wanted sect yeah?
My plan is wear the aunt han boss fit with sectless hat
It looks drippy
I can send mine if u want
well no, I'm pretty sure in most wuxia stories, notable individuals from the jianghu become recognized in the world even if it's just by name
yes !!
usually by name by common folk, but gets recognized by fellow martial artists esp when they see their prowess
Tiktok is dumb
show the outfit? i dont think i have seen that outfit?
Thereās not really any lore videos
For this game
And people juss fight the stuff instead of paying attention
not yet anyway. most of the story isnt even out
i would EAT up lore videos
only content iāve been able to find on this game is people doing guides on builds
Iāve only seen the what actually happened in qinhe video
on the lore, is it better to kill this person?
do u want to be evil or kind

if the name is red , you always go kicking the shi out of em
you decide his fate
thats the npcs name on towns

Ask that in #š±beginner-questions this is lore chat
my bad i thought i clicked on questions, misclick
All good

omg what the heck. such a plot twist

dont send cute giggle emoji after basically saying u killed civilians lmao

omg you just answered my questions. I knew it wasn't aunt Han but I was so mind confuzzled about it lol Thank you!
its not afterlife
game is wuxia, havent touched xianxia
they are just mortals who are playing fantasies
its just an underground market
Where can you find him? Heaven's Pier? I wanna check him out
#1425508678219468811 is ghost market and capturing the triplets the final quest so far? 0.0
Tf r u talking aboutš
We literally encountered ghosts when visiting the market in the morning lmao
that channel is for cn
they are not ghost... but jianghu unorthodox/cults
craezy persons
... They're ghosts...
their light techniques are so good though
is this your first time at wuxia?
Nope I read a ton of wuxia and xianxia š
yeah, the nether realm are for xianxia
devs strictly pointed out they would stick at wuxia
(although the recent survey on cn proved that people wanted xianxia)
there are lighness techniquest at wuxia that would make you look like and have the characteristics of ghosts
such as moving through shadows, blink, etc
Bro we literally have to sneak around ghost soldiers, wear yin armor, and enter ghost gate. Idk what else to tell you
We are already inching toward xianxia with the whole immortality thing that the main villain has
Because ||ruby is alive and well practicing cultivation somewhere||
formations
we encountered one back then
killed ruby
though I am not sure, ruby's corpse was never shown
could be a potential plot line in the future
it was just implied that she died, but we actually never saw her dying
at this point, I'm just waiting for more lore
Bro it has nothing to do with formation. The game blatantly told us that we've to get the Yin Armor to hide our breath of the living so we won't be targeted by the ghost soldiers. Have you even played the quest?
yeah and you can return to that map later, people will tell you to wear your masks or they attack you
I wear it but I did not like it so I remove it
my MC is still fine
Not mask. Armor. I'm talking about the other market in the morning.
The regular market just require you to wear the simple mask
thats xianxia though
U have to wear a mask to use shops
But you're dead if you wander around without the Yin Armor in the morning market
yeah those are black market rules
yeah thats how formations works, they have their own rules
trust me, I would love if the game would turn to xianxia honestly
but devs keep pushing wuxia
You're just being stubborn at this point. Seriously have you played that quest where you have to gather 3 pieces of armor at the underground market?
Just because it's wuxia doesn't mean it can't have ghosts and other metaphysical aspects bruh
Oh and I forgot to add that at the end of that quest we've to kill a ghost. The game said that out loud and blatantly.
my canon is we are now in some lowest realm which is 99% wuxia and after a few decades of upgrades we'll have starry sky battles and galaxy forging
We got some supernatural stuff here and there with the bosses, so we totally got room for xianxia ascension and sword flying
Also I did the infernal twinblades skill theft recently, that was squarely supernatural, im certain
Eh maybe not cultivation and ascension. However I do know that we'll get a chance to ride a robot bird at Mohist Hill.
We have ā flying ā and cutting voids in space
If that isnāt supernatural idk what is
I mean yeah but wuxia vs xianxia is very different in scale, our characters are still within the realm of wandering martial arts heroes and not the more.... higher level depictions of cultivators where they can blow mountains - way more grandiose depictions exist
I do agree that it's doubtful we'll go full xianxia. I just disagree that WWM has no metaphysical themes at all like ghosts etc.
you know that reminds me but I remember seeing a robot from one of the ladies who's part of the music playing minigame
š¤ makes you think what sort of tech could be out there
obv that's not common to the populace but I gotta wonder what sort of prodigy she was for her to make it lol
They make Mohist people into some sort of crazy geniuses with their creations
Just did the jinming pool campaign anyone could tell wtf happened from inviting me to a buffet to like trynna kill me
buffets are good spot to kill in wuxia

Man i was getting wasted and she pulled up with her eagle
now you know why its perfect place to kill
š¤£
i just got the true ending of qinghe, can someone tell me who ||lord li|| is? i remember hearing his name and now the big reveal is meant to be huge im gussing but what did he do???
YUH
Nvm, i found a very helpful reddit post summarizing the story of He ran.
bois, is the tian ying that we fight in halo peak the same tian that was with us during the moon goddess quest?
There's "true" endings to regions???
li zou is the white haired guy who controls bugs that make people zombies
Why story so sad, poor girl make me cry.
No, this game has at least two major characters āTianā one from the goddess quest (who walks with us) is āUnfatedā and is an entirely separate character
dont wanna spoiler someone in the question channel, thats why i ask here about it, hope its fine
im currently doing the mercyheart town wandering tales "A Elixir Theft",|| i was already in the cave but somehow the Dad "Pan Fading" doesnt want to spawn at the House, what would be the consequence if i give the poison medince to the child instead of the dad? because what should i do, he is gone||
anyone tryna play
can someone tell me if it's possible to re-read the various notes we find? like, you can open to read it once and "archive" it, but i still haven't found a menu to go back and read through them again?
It is somewhere in the compedium I think
But the exact location varies on the type of what we read,
I figured it'd be somewhere in there, but it's a bit convoluted š I did manage to find what I was looking for though, thanks! ā”
Is Yao Yaoyao a reincarnation of Sage of Medicine?
so chu and aunt han were like a thing or am i missing smth ??
Can someone explain the jinming pool plot?
Gee wiz
Not entirely sure what to say here when it comes to the Jinming Pool
Why do we even fight the boss ? She sent us there to steal the diagarm they gave away
The whole campaign was a mess
Loots of bugs to, like platform throwing u off when u board the boat, her cutscene dialogue missing or talking stuff from before
Yeah, that was the plan. Reveal the shipās plan, have us steal away the diagram so it wouldnāt fall into the hands of any other region or nation, then she tries to General Shepard us.
||Not sure why that last bit is necessary but she takes the ship down too with her||
But why?
Why give diagrams in the first place, why destroy the ship
Also i dont play mass efect so i didnt understand the shepard reference
It isnāt Mass Effect I was referencing, it was OG Modern Warfare 2
I dont play that either
So the guy at the start was us?
In OG Modern Warfare 2, General Shepard, the antagonist in that game, asks us to steal valuable intel from an estate. When we hand it to him, he betrays us by killing the character weāre playing as known as Roach and our ally Ghost. Basically she tried to do exactly what he did but failed ultimately
can someone sum up unfated tian story ?? i dont get it
also, to add to that, how does the rest of the story tie to tian story? is the tian story part of the main or its a side story?
Murong Yuan's first father, Li Jun was a general of the old dynasty, called later Zhou whose throne was usurped by the current emperor of the Song dynasty. So basically she thought her adoptive dad, general murong volunteered to kill her 1st father for military achievements when he rebelled (Li Jun asked murong yanzhao to adopt her again after he cut ties with her) because he refused to surrender to the Song court, whereas the truth was that general murong tried to convince her father to bend the knee but he refused to. She didnt know that and took revenge on general murong, by locking him inside the ship but he already went mad from the guilt before she even locked him up. After she knew the truth about this incident from ember of the east and shimmer of the south, they manipulated her feelings of revenge towards the Song goverment and decided to join a conspiracy that involves destroying the boat, which is crucial for Song campaigns to unify china
She wouldnt attack us if we didnt find out about her plan to destroy the ship
Thanks for clarifying but this is so poorly explained in the story, i know the bnner part whit her father but did it say aywhere its her father or that she was adopted i have no memory of it
Thereās another encounter quest after the boss battle which explains it
Why not just add it when u encounter the chained man, the peacing of the quest is bad and confusing
Devs want u to look for clues in general to piece together lore in this game, so itās hard for people who arent into exploring
I cant find most of the clues too lol and had to ask people how to trigger the murong yuan encounter quest too
they take a dark souls type approach with the secondary story, where you're supposed to piece things together
Yes but its bad design , put the breadcrumbs before the finale not make it confusing and then half a year later u find out a part of why this happened
Itās not exactly bad, sometimes itās rewarding when u find things out by yourseld but i get your frustration
One thing i hate is that some encounter quests have hidden conditions to trigger and i have no idea what they are
Like the murong yuan one, u have to talk to a guy named li shoujie on a bridge for the quest to trigger later
It was a good quest though
Yes but when its so disjointed makes it so manny ppl may never find it, loot of ppl are casuals, heck loot of ppl arent the smartest to put 2 and 2 together, it just makes it hard to follow, at least it could keep the main quest and campaigns easyer to follow, better translated and use encounters/ secondary quests to enrich the lore or experience
Like u said, the follow up could be easyer tp follow, like after the q where u loot the dead bird, u could find some letter or some lore piece from her , that would lead u to a follow up quest if ur interested to explain some things
Maybe there was sthing like that but i might have missed it. I was left with questions on why she betrayed us so i found out about the encounter quest after i asked a bit on discord. But yeah they should make it easier imo
Or somr exposition during (boss cut scenes/into) the dialogue to make u know theres more to find out
Usually in this game when u wonder why, it means thereās lore behind it
Can we romance granny turtle?
I was completely addicted to this game for about a week. I played the main story until meeting Ruby in Blissful Retreat (to tell her you're sneaking out), then cleared nearly all of Qinghe side activities. And then I finished up Chapter One... and I've been angry for days. I don't wanna put spoilers here so I used spoiler tags, but for anyone who doesn't wanna know let's say I'm really not a fan of a narrative decision they've made. š
||I think it's mainly because my character had become rather high level at that point (lvl 50 with all lightness skills and a bunch of different martial arts and mystic arts), yet was powerless to prevent Ruby's death. And didn't even try to heal her despite being a tier 2 healer. So it created a narrative dissonance. I'd basically become a local hero flying across Qinghe, but I couldn't jump up and catch one arrow. My character even got two chances. I'd expected something bad was going to happen at the end of the chapter, or at the very least things would change because Aunt Han was planning to escape with all the villagers. So I didn't want any Blissful Retreat / Heaven's Pier content related to the festival to get locked out.
The irony is I started off disliking Ruby. She was so chatty and disobedient. But through Chapter 1 she grew on me a lot. She basically started feeling like a little sister or a daughter. Who wouldn't start appreciating such a cheerful and kind-hearted girl. I defeated the scythe witch on pure rage. And then every encounter on the way to Kaifeng on lingering anger. And then I took a long break. But even when I came back I found that I couldn't get as immersed as before. Every little girl in the game reminds me of Ruby and I'm finding inner resistance getting emotionally attached to characters because my "mourning fictional characters" limit has been filled for this game. Losing both Ruby and my first martial comrade in one go. And they kind of narratively forced it.||
Type shii
@flint crag Unfated Tian or Ying Tian? For Ying Tian story I highly recommend watching YouTube explainer video.
So what happened with new story the || freaking stabbing faceless girls ||?
Why they so violent?
Yeah the issue is that WWM is primarily made for CN players who are very familiar with Chinese history. Like this one set during the five dynasties and ten kingdoms era. That's why they just don't explain much background information to players.
Check journal for enemy details
I'm scared to lol
As you may have already noticed global players are sort of a secondary citizens rn. Maybe they think the game won't be that popular global so they fully design it with CN players in mind.
I highly recommend collecting Dark Surges since it'll explain the motivation of various forces in WWM and make understanding the plot much easier. It's even better if you get some understanding about the real history of five dynasties and ten kingdoms.
questions for future CN storyline. Is Tian still important to future plots?
Which tian?
Tian Ying
Tbf u cant use your in game power lvl to justify msq progression since itās mostly gameplay wise, but yes i miss ruby too
He's still alive. Iirc he's going to the north to infiltrate the Khitans. He just used us to pretend to be dead and changes his name.
I dont think he will show up in msq, his story already ended
right, it sounds like his story with the MC is over if he doesn't show up in future content...
At best he'll show up as side story again
If the game should decide to visit the Liao Empire, then it's very likely that we will see him again
still a pretty twisted storyline ngl; makes us feel kind of used
Yeah he's the leader of the southern tang i had to watch a lore video to get it lol
Everyone is using us. Those girls from Velvet Shade are also using us.
Didn't pay attention to the start of the game I didnt think the lore would be good ngl
Technically he's the last empeor of the original Tang dynasty. The current Tang is sorta a replacement where the emperor isn't even a member of Li bloodline lmao. Li Zuo is currently using the state as his puppet to dominate china again.
The guy with white hair was actually the last emperor of the real Tang Dynasty back then
But he died quite early afaik
Ye like many years ago. He's immortal that's why he's still alive
If you play Gleaming Abyss you'll get a hint as to what happened to him
Ye, I already played it
Ah thats right he like sipped back into southern tang when the guy declared that his state is now tang instead of what it was b4 right
The next guy which we will meet soon will be the guy from the South Tang
Which we already saw in many trailer-videos
Oh the main leader?
Ye, he is called Li Yu and was the South Tang "Lord"
He is very known for his poems in china
Some schools are even included his poem within the regular school-work
Yeah the lore video is watched went in depth about the irl lore b4 the game
Wait which one? Have we actually seen him in trailers?
Red Umbrella
With everything from the 5 dynasties and what not leading up to zhous song dynasty or something like that
Oooooh the pretty boy. He's enemy?
More or less
If evil why hot?
But you can see him as an villian
I must've missed that trailer
He had afaik 2 wifes and he wasn't the smartest general back then
In the launch trailer he showed up
He killed his own general due to paranoia
and other lords played with him as an toy
Ohh i see, I literally saw none of the trailers for this game I only happened upon it like 4 days after launch bc a friend mentioned it in a throwaway comment
the launch trailer is actually well done
but i was a bit shocked how early they decided to show Li Yu
This is Li Yu
Foshš
does this lead to the tianying fight right away
or start the halo peakquest by itself?
No you want the blue book to it's right
umm does the game get more mystical? in some preview footage, we fight a dragon and a bull demon. that's kind of mystical to me
It's wuxia not xianxia
right.. does dragon and bull demons still fall in category of wuxia
Yes young wanderer
It does have fantastical element however as long as there's no cultivation aspect we can't call it xianxia
so about the "secret" ending in qinghe, do I have to unlock everything in the dark surge or just do every jianghu legacy quest
Every dark surge
damn
Then youll unlock the final cutscene
Best we I described it is wuxia with some xianxia elements
do they mostly come from the jianghu legacy quests
Trust me its worth it there's guides on yt showing all of them
Most come from talking to random npcs
But if you've been talking to everyone u encounter you should have most done
lowkey just want to obtain them naturally but it seems theres a lot of hidden stuff lol
I only needed like 5 more after I started actually going for them
There's only 1 thats really hard to get without a guide imo
Its an encounte tied to eating food from market stalls
I think you need to eat several kinds of food instead of a lot of food
There also that one npc in Heaven's Pier who won't talk about ch 1 end.
I spammed a lot of a single one and got nothing, but u wanna eat at least 9? Or 10 of each food anyway to max out the elegance from them
True but I feel like if u were already talking to everyone you should've talked to him, but i think you can talk to his brother if u go back in time
Also ||yimo|| the kid can be impossible to talk to
He can get stuck listening to stories after tales of iron or wtv that quest with iron condor is
So youll have to join another world for that too
Yeah he can be impossible too but for me it was yimo
The kids wouldnt leave he was so annoying
Reset the zone and logged/relogged, changed time however many times but he was stuck sitting listening to stories forerver
actually you can do ch1 dark surge after, without going into the dream or into someones game world
Hi guys . do you have any advice for 100% areas? Most of mine around 40%
AHHHHH... I JUST BEAT CHAPTER ONE AND WITHOUT SPOILERS... just.... AHHHHHH!!!!!!! š š š š
Is || ruby really dead š || or will there be a way to bring them back
I getchu bro š
š š š š
The pain in my heart will never be filled
If you go to the docks in the house there is a zhang jiu something and he gives the dark surge
Use her as companion assist
Yeaah. That was just a contributing factor. Mainly I dislike ||killing off two of the three characters you've gotten close to in the chapter||
You dislike it, because you liked the characters
Thatās why killing them is so impactful
No. I'm speaking from a fictional narrative-building perspective. IRL we love others despite the risk of losing them. But when it comes to fiction/entertainment, a narrative can "teach" the audience not to get emotionally invested.
No it teaches what jianghu really is like
And that though it may seemed happy to lucky. There are too many evil
You can tell just from all the tian ying lore
What has bro been typing
It is very late and I donāt want to give a proper response. But remember that not everyone has been reading murim wuxia everyday
but that's kind of the reality in that age
I think instead of sell a hero tell, this game is trying to convey a sight of the actual histry, so as mc, we feel powerless sometime, I guess
I don't like it neither, I mean we're here to play the game as an escape of the reality, not to be reminded how cruel the reality is. but I understand what they tryna do
I like it, and the dreamworld yi dao fight hits pretty hard
I wasnāt a big fan of ruby, but I love her companion assist
Itās one of the turbulent times in china too. China states power struggles and a horde kingdom invading you, so tragedies are gonna occur everywhere
Dude the music in the village was so sad
I loved her she was so cute
Little kid with big dreams
And the dream sequence in the red heroine encounter after the story was so sad
Have u unlocked every dark surge yet for the true ending
@rotund zinc @vague shoal Yeah, like I said I felt something big bad coming so I put it off. ||Was prepared to see the village I just spent a week getting to know to get decimated. Did not expect the 2 closest characters to die and the third to just up and vanish (presumably after saving you from the explosion in the wine cellar). It just hit too hard. And now I'm having a hard time connecting to the Chapter 2 characters because I feel like they're just gonna kill a bunch of them off again. I also haven't seen this dreamscape thing everyone's talking about.||
So the game just went from the most immersive game I've played in a long time to something I'm emotionally resisting connecting to. Anyway. Thanks for helping me vent. I'll just consider it part of the grieving process. š
To be fair the ||death of blade|| wasnt as tragic because of how peak it was, "death, ive already faced it!" Or wtv the quote was so cinema
The sharing drinks too
Also i cant believe the foreshadowing and symbolism of different areas is so good
Yeah, ||Yi Dao's death was a lot more tolerable. A comrade in arms falling in battle is within reason.||
LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN ||THE CAPE WE GAVE HER IS REASON SHE DIED, AND THE CAVE WE STASHED OUR HOPES AND DREAMS IS WHERE HER DREAMS CAME TRUE BUT ALSO ENDED||
Its so tragically peak I felt like crying š
||Not to mention we SAVED HER. We got her into the pavilion with everyone else and that stupid merchant put her in a straw basket because what better way to KEEP AN EYE ON SOMEONE than putting them out of sight?! And then Clip-Clop saved her but it still wasn't enough to truly save her. It was just such a "forced writing" way of doing it.||
I dont even think its forced tbh
||That cave is the cave where we stashed all of our wine to sell so we can go live in the jianghu together, so it makes sense that she'd find a way no matter what to make that dream come true, she risked everything to be a heroine|| š
you need to touch yidao's sword in front of the tower being reconstructed in blissful retreat to activate the dreamland, and ahve you done the her legacy encounter quest?
It was foreshadowed perfectly with the cape and everything too
Its all just too sad š
The red heroine encounter really makes it hit harder tho
Thanks. I'll go look there next time I play. Which will be at least a couple of days. Might help or might hurt my desire to keep playing. I pushed through and did the start of Chapter 2 ||Until where you have to go to the Ghost quarter (where I've already been once on a quest from Qinghe, got abducted by human trafficker IIRC) and end up hiding out at Granny Turtle's place. But because the story progressed so far without reconnecting with Aunt Han I just decided to quit for a couple days. I even friggen had to pawn off the last bottle of Parting Tears and I probably won't get it back...||
I think we wont be seeing her anytime soon, from what people who played the CN version said
Apparently we dont see aunt han for a long long time
Yeah even in cn she's only hinted at being seen in the latest area
Something like that
We're making new friends now
I want ||ruby and blade|| back š
Who cares about Aunt Han, she could be an old hag for all we know
Or tian ying after learning his story
Doctor Tian's diary is a real cosmetic surgery horror story
Makes me wanna join the inkboumd order just because of tian, but uncle jiang was well of heaven so im torn between the two
Well of heaven is funnier and available. Just join them and have fun spreading money around until Inkbound gets released
inkbound is gonna be a long time away, they arent even released in CN right? And it seems they use bow as main weapon so we might get archer martial art too
Though Jiang being a well of heaven is kinda funny, when you look at how comic relief the sect members are
Oh cooll
Ill finish the sectless stuff then yeah im joining well of heaven again
I want my character to be righteous this game
well of heaven chat's pretty cool. super active and funny
There's no real evil sects to join in this game
Even the bloodthirsty dual sword sect is just farming karma instead of really going around mass murdering
hollow vale seems pretty evil
nah they're just poisoned up druggies
the one group we meet from them are traitors or a splinter group iirc?
For anyone who wonders what's with Jiang Yan's Father Slaying reputation, I made a new video on yt called
dont they experiment on real humans too, that's pretty evil in my book lol
Where Winds Meet Lore - Did Jiang Yan Kill His Father? Qinghe Story Deep Dive
Ohhh
Happy to DM the link
The encounter after the main qinghe story explained it pretty well to me, what else do u add? Genuinely asking
a lot of people don't know what was inside the box
A lot of historical backgrounds, all in 5 mins
It was a ||puppet beetle|| right?
Like with void king
yeah, but many missed that including me lol
Ohh ok
Like who Wang Qing is and why do these all fit in the grand scheme of things
I only really got it after watching the initial cutcene again to be fair
If u dm it to me ill watch it later for sure
some background on the battle of zhong du bridge too I assume, since the game dont talk about it
Ill watch all the lore videos I cam as long as they add something new to the table
Yeah there's almost 0 context about the battle itself that'll be interesting
Yes I talked about that
Nice cant wait to watch it then
On gleaming abyss can someone explain to me void king what is he doing there I don't understand
Immortal seed for longevity ruit iirc
Fruit
He wanted to be immortal, why hes back tho I have no idea
hey everyone, i wanted to ask if anyone knows NPC Pan Fading at Rat Den?
i tried looking for this guy for an hour now, asking NPC directions and all but still no clue
Someone explained that he punished himself there because he failed to stop uncle jiang 16 years ago and disappointed his liege. He vowed to kill 1000 people who enter it and the young master was his last target
You gotta wait for a long time if you want to see Aunt Han again lmao. Last I heard she might make an apperance in Mohist Hill which was the third area. The next one we'll unlock after Kaifeng is Hexi. That means maybe 6 months from now at best to even a year.
But then, somehow, he saw Li Zuoās image when he looked at the MC. What exactly is their connection? Iām dying to know.
it'll be about 9 months for region 3, if it's the same pace as cn. Hexi should probably be in february
Uuuh I think he's a father with sick child? Maybe? Have you cleared out that cave with enemies. He's trapped there before he can go to Rat Den.
Here's the thing though the Hexi story is divided into 3 regions. What I heard is that we get one new region every 3 months. That means it may take 9 months to finish Hexi. Then 3 months later we see Mohist Hill. I could be wrong though...
nah hexi took like 6 months to finish
Well hopefully it's like that lmao. I want more main story asap.
yes i rescued him long time ago, i've been to Rat Den and made old friends there also, the thing is i forgot where rat den is located which is sucks, the NPC also not helping
i just found it nvm, thank you
I got distracted by the warm side story on the area but having void king there felt like I missed something
All this time I've been a lore nerd on each game I play and in this game I missed a lot of stuffs so much that I have 0 idea this is the case. Somehow I ended up with the totally wrong impression that the spirit man that lost his lover turns into the void king.
the male memory is still alive and is the main villain
main villain?? in where?
and the liege I mentioned is him too. From the quest we know he is the last emperor of the fallen Tang dynasty
And he's the leader of aucreate pavillion
He's li zuo last empeor of the og tang dynasty. You gotta know Chinese history to catch it.
aah, I see.. I guess we haven't met him yet on this part of the story
why are all these emperors out here wuxiaing instead of fixing policy
U have. He's the white haired edgy guy with the bugs
bro go draft a bill or something
He shows up in trailers and prologue. The guy with white hair.
ah.. right. the nondescript villain guy that looks from afar looking sinister and mysterious that constantly bullies young cultivator..
he won't be fully revealed on the story for some time I assume?
Btw white hair usually means immortal so I kinda suspect the sleeping daoist as cultivator lmao
He only shows up here and there looking mysterious so far, but his goons have did a number on us, u know blissful retreat incident
in a cultivator universe Daoist is always a cultivator I think
Doesn't have to be. In common wuxia, Wudang members are daoist.
the sleeping daoist is either zhang goulao, or is just a world boss who's inspired by him.
yeah. I'm aware of the basics of the aureate pavilion and the main story. The backgrounds though.. I missed by a lot, it seems.
If you don't mind I can send you a link to a video that explains the background history of the WWM setting. It's made by CN player.
the lore for the sidequest in this game is like 10000x bigger than the main story lol
And the game makes us dig for all the clues to piece them together
absolutely, don't mind at all. I really appreciate that!
You should also complete Dark Surge if you wanna get secret cutscene about Tian Ying
yeah. But somehow in this game, at times due to my own foolish deduction, at other times due to missing contexts outside of the game itself, I ended up with entirely wrong answer as to what happened lol. It's a pretty tough one to crack
I really need to train my scholar skill...
yeah. I've got the story explained from the reddit. And there's no way I realized 3/4 of the lore about Tian Ying even when I read all the letters and stuffs.
Lazy translation not helping
The amount of times they use him instead of he...
omg I found Ruby's red thread after what happened to the village and it made me tear up T-T
Theyāve used he in the same sentence with she
I understand that they don't want to every show you a scene involving a ||dead child, let alone someone as cute as Ruby||, but the end on that chapter really didn't give me enough closure that I still feel weird seeing the MC acting like a normal teen immediately on arrival in Kaifeng. Wish they show a scene of us ||carrying Ruby to the graveyard, carving her tomb, praying at her tomb, talk to her grave, etc etc||
Did that village get hit by a meteor???
yeah, ||the only thing the we get afterwards is her red thread, soon after we talk to her we learn that she is in heaven||
Imo her legacy questline is enough closure for me
kinda, play the story xD
cool cool cool tight tight tight
yeah. It's.. just about, I suppose. I regret continuing the story and heard about the hidden side quest later on.
You mean the encounter quest?
yeah. I accidentally pressed 1 and spawned a burning horse and threw an explosive spear in the middle of the village. Sorry.
damn
yeah, the red ribbon? I honestly forgot if it was an encounter quest or something else? Is that not the one you mentioned?
The red thread quest, I was lucky to get it right after when I was looting some chest in heaven's pier and found the map lol
yea is the encounter quest
Even in Kaifeng there's an encounter quest that explains murong yuan's background and context , unless u look it up it's so hard to trigger it
Is it that one with the general on the bridge?
he's only the condition to trigger it. It's from the girl at the pavillion, right below the bridge
I think there's a continuation quest where you need to talk with that girl at the lake but she won't show up!!!
She showed up after I talked to the guy on the bridge again
I love it so much <333 And piecing the clues together oneself, gives a better grasp on the story š©· It is very rewarding
yeah that guy on the bridge move to the pavillion right. I then deliver the item to the other general on the temple. Wait for server reset but nothing changes.
I havent done his wandering tales, I just talked to him again while he was still standing on the bridge, and when I went back the girl showed up for me
Are there any real occult elements to this game? Iāve asked this once before but the person I talked to wasnāt sure so I figured Iād ask again š
I just had a spooky time at a burning village
yes there are, some side stories do involve them

thousand buddha village is a good example I think
Occult? You mean ghost? Visit the ghost market under Kaifeng during daytime.
Is there any known lore behind these? I know it's a fantasy world. But I wasn't expecting to find this today haha
Also the one at Boddhi Sea I think. That's pretty spooky too.
Probably creation of the Mohist
Possibly
How skilled are we as the young wanderer? like I get it that we are new into the Jianghu but is it acknowledged that we fought off the Void King? or like the dozen other powerful foes in the open world
there's honestly quite a lot imo. But it's not overtly occult per se, they made it kinda vague, like whether what happened and we see is just hallucination, or people pretending to be demons, etc. The "actual spiritual realm entity" that we genuinely see in the game are surprisingly the gods. Like Tian Ying with Asura and Caishen coming soon.
If you're referring to "creepy" though the main story towards the ghost market is the creepiest one IMO.
not from main story perspective I think? Story wise so far the greatest accomplishment we've done so far is... beating up three kids. The rest of the bosses in the story are dream/hallucination stuffs.
Like real demons, witches, etc
Ah okay I see, thank you!
Damn for real I thought we at least fought Tian Ying
Probably not. This is wuxia not xianxia.
We did fight Tian Ying but the guy just pretend to lose since he's using us to pretend to be dead.
at the very least on our current ability on main story, I'm pretty sure we would die if we're genuinely fighting the non main story bosses lol
Well we're just starting out. I'm sure we'll get there eventually.
I mean yeah but there gotta be some merit to our ability is we were skilled enough to find brodie in the first place
what's the difference if u dont mind me asking
we need rescue from regular guardsman. and the form of rescue is flying ducks and chickens.
Wuxia is martial arts and somewhat grounded in reality. Xianxia is about achieving immortality via cultivation and you can find tons of cultivators around that live hundreds of years. There may also be jade emperors and other gods and demons. You won't encounter them in wuxia.
Only the heart seeker is illusion i think, others r kinda real like seventeen and void king.
oh yeah for sure. I sure do hope so, and let's pray it doesn't take the protagonist 10,000 years cultivating in qi dense caves..
General ye was probably fake tho
oooh okay
I don't see why the game can't have immortals running around
no, I mean the main story. I honestly feel the main story is entirely separate from the optional bosses, with our character being still so... unprepared
they do seem to have dieties although im unsure if those are real gods or not
I'm kinda curious though. Since the game is titled Yanyun Sixteen Sounds in CN, it sounds like it focuses on the Yanyun Prefecture. However, the states themselves only became reclaimed near the end of the Song or Ming dynasty, if I remember correctly. So that's like hundreds of years in the future. Are they going to continue the story after that, or will there be a divergence from history?
i ran into the rat one and laughed lol
the side bosses do have real legendary fighters for sure
Doubt it I think we get one good human lifespan in this game
Because that would reduce the importance of the main villain whoās trying to achieve immortality.
I sure do hope not. I have tons of friends and I'd hate to lose out on weekly gifts due to them all dying of old age.
nothing central to the story I mean just like a lil easter egg
the daoist boss I think is obviously a cultivator imo
only a cultivator can fly and fight with pooping donkeys
That guyās kinda like an easter egg
oh yeah he should be a daoist cultivator
I guess our open world feats are separate from the main story for now
Goose in this game might be cultivators tho
phoenixes
Qianye is also technically illusion yes? In the real world we're just sitting down trapped in the illusion while big bro Yi Dao is defending us
so in the story so far we've beaten two illusions and three kids..
We'll do something big in Kaifeng soon
Caishen?
hope I get to beat him soon
alright lore gang I need some help, took a week break from the MSQ, but I think my game's buggy or something because dialogue has been randomly cutting out and I'm confused as hell: everything made sense until after Qianye boss fight, then I got lost
I've just finished the Revelry Hall sequence where you take the pill, these are my questions, any help is massively appreciated:
-
Why was I looking for the Ember of East in the first place
-
Why did I want to find the treasure basin (before it got stolen)
-
Who is this "Wuqan" or whatever I think the EoE is
-
What is the protagonist actually... doing? Like from my perspective everyone in Heaven's Pier died, Aunt Han pulled us from the fire, and suddenly I'm on a road trip to Kaifeng with seemingly no guiding purpose
help pls
Caishen? Who's that?
God of Wealth IRL, it's what the... super greedy guy that duplicated the coin with the bowl? turn into
We got letter from Ember of East saying that he knows something about Aunt Han who we're looking for. Wuque is his alias. We just got pulled into the treasure basin mess because of curiosity.
you a real one for that, thanks
Did you not read the letter from that eagle before starting Kaifeng quest?
or at least the somewhat deranged version of it. God of Avarice
That's Lord Si I suspect
I might have, it was a while ago, I wanted to wait for more breakthroughs before continuing the story so I don't keep getting time gated when I'm enjoying it
I can't believe the letter had a love letter inside
the downside is being massively confused lol
that's him, yes. I remember he's a lord but I forgot his name
that letter is in the mail
and another thing
- Kaifeng is the imperial capital?
- Weiyang, where the EoE is presumably some kind of lord or important person, is underneath the emperor
- the prefect of kaifeng is basically the mayor, and if kaifeng is the imperial capital, presumably a very important bloke
is that right
1 more sleepy
If u want to know how important the prefect is, you can look him up, he's a real historical figure, beware of spoilers though
oh for real? interesting, thanks
How it feels like, the damage= 127 š¤£
strategic sword will definitely get blossom effects in shop
Exsctly, just got it and tried it against enemy while only levelling up to 20š¤£
I see, thamks
I need to prepare my wallet
Kaifeng is the capital of the Song Dynasty. Ember of the East isn't an official. He's just jianghu person. The Kaifeng Prefect is ||the emperor's brother||
aaaah I wish I hadn't clicked that spoiler
that's on me lol
Tbf chinese players don't even consider it as spoilers since they know the history of Song Dynasty lol
But this kind of movement I'd association with nameless
OMG. That guy is ||JUDGE BAO!?||
the prerelease cn trailers kinda showed a lot of things too
Who?
like the emperor's face
the kaifeng prefect?
judge bao wasnt born yet, and he's not the emperor's brother
962
Let me make it clear the emperor is ||Big Zhao|| We're currently at the start of Song Dynasty
The founding emperor of song is still alive
AH. Okay. Well, time to tone down my excitement. I barely have any knowledge of this era, probably judge bao is the only famous story I know around this era.
Yeah chinese people arent proud of the song dynasty too lol
this is one of the most underexplored eras in chinese media too, especially right before the song dynasty
at the end of the quest for the ghost market, does it gate you for time or is everyone gated?
everyone, new msq unlocks tmr I think
yeah, it's gated for everyone. same goes with the level, we're all stuck on lvl 55 atm
ty!
So I have some questions. In case if it's spoiler I will mark it as spoiler. ||Why was Chu asked to stop Aunt Han? Aren't they on same side? I thought Aunt Han don't want to change his face because he is her lover and all. But why was Chu asked to stop her? Also how can I read the letter that asked Chu to stop Aunt Han?|| Like which menu do I click?
Isnāt level gated from when you made your account?
I've never heard of a letter like that before
I find it in the bell tower, it was addressed to Chu
I think letters show up in the quest inventory
What are these seals
Idk man that's just the entry in Dark Surge...
And the plot deepens...
Hey guys, I'm working on my Qinghe Tale and Echos in the Dark portion (undercurrents) The second cluster. I have 4/5 unlocked, being "Theft at Heaven's" "Palace of Annals's" "The Shattered Bell" "Clash Between the Waterlady..." According to the Q&A in game, I am missing one titled "Great Hero". I am supposed to be finding "Momo" to unlock it. Has anyone done this? And if so.. Would you kindly share some info on where? I found the flower-picking girl Momo, but she does not give any clues.
Oh thank you but I feel like I get more questions after this.|| So Tian Ying was part of the Palace of Annals? I remember reading somewhere that Palace of Annals tried to assassinate Khitan envoy and the Moon Lady was killed? but how does aunt han play into this?||
She's Water Lady, she used to work for Palace of Annals to help people change their faces and become spies. That's why you find those faceless people in the underground. They're the unfortunate people that failed the procedure and have to hide underground to protect the mission.
After Chu Qingquan stole the Water Lady Scroll she cut ties and left jianghu.
It says Tian Ying stole it though?
ahh okay I miss the part where she works for Palace of Annals. So both of them met at Palace of Annals and the attempt to assassinate Khitan envoy happened and she has skirmish with them and I guess sometimes during this Chu ask her change her face and she refused and after Tian Ying stole the scroll and she left jianghu and go to Blissful Retreat and met our uncle?
I mean they worked together
Oh...I havent spoiled myself reading tian ying's lore yet
Because Chu Qingquan helped Tian Ying, Aunt Han got mad and cut ties with him. That's what I'm trying to say.
Yes
Ok I definitely didnt know that they knew each other, need to do dark surges soon
Tian Ying knows many people. Even Jiang Yan left to save him when he got trapped after killing Khitan envoy.
Bro's more like MC than the young master
Whew the timeline is a bit confusing. and there are too many informations so I am getting hella confused. But man, I wish I could see more of Chu and Aunt Han in their younger days. Their love story is really tragic.
Indeed both Jiang Yan and Tian Ying are more like Qidian protagonist than our MC currently is lmao. But I'm sure that will change when we get to Li Zuo.
I can send you link to video that explain the background history of WWM.
sure why not. I think I have watched all the videos but might as well as rewatch it again so that I can build my own mind map and timeline. Thank you
could you send me that too?
I kinda speedran through the whole of qinghe, didn't pay much attention to anything, and only started caring about Tian Ying and his story after I beat him lol
honestly the ability to have multiple characters things really need to arrive soon. It's the kind of game that you need to do the story at least twice to get the full gist. First playthrough will always be confusing.
I at least want them to allow us to rewatch old cutscenes...
yeah. That'd be a really great QOL
question the story of Tian Ying is like itachi uchia type of thing no?
This is lore channel
so ? it says talk about anything :) So I talk about my problem
Well I can't help you anyway š¤·āāļø
hahah it's okay.
Hello! Can someone please explain me why exactly Li ZhenZhen was "defending" the Khitan envoy? I am trying to piece together this subquest lore but I think i lost some details?
Years later, during the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period, the second emperorĀ Cai RongĀ reclaimed three territories fromĀ Yan Yun. TheĀ KhitanĀ sought to reclaim them by allying withĀ Nan TangĀ and sent an envoy to negotiate. The righteous soldiers ofĀ QingheĀ intercepted this intelligence and sought to kill the envoy.Ā Tian Ying,Ā who had once saved Li Zhen Zhen, devised a plan. In a letter to the Moon Goddess, he wrote: āThe Khitan envoy must not die in Qinghe. I ask the Moon Goddess to protect him and intercept the Qinghe soldiersā¦ā He did not wish to save the envoy out of mercy but to make sure the envoy died inĀ Nan Tang, thus ruining any potential alliance and keeping Qingheās name clean. He couldnāt explain this to the soldiersāthere were too many, and they wouldnāt accept the cost. So he asked her to stop them, even if that meant killing them. Tian Ying planned to go into Nan Tang alone. But Li Zhen Zhen insisted on accompanying him, claiming that she would never find him on her own since she was blind. After convincing him, she joined his journey and left Feng a farewell letter. Li Zhen Zhen led the Khitan envoy safely to Nan Tang and slaughtered countless Qinghe soldiers in the process. The soldiers, feeling betrayed, turned against her. Even Feng, shocked and confused, passed her farewell message to the Qinghe forc
Thank you very much!
I have her journal entry on 100%, what have i missed that had these details?
Also, when i was under the lake, it seemed to me that the dead soldiers had the Auriate pavillion's men model, is that just an asset or is there any tie between those who were trying to kill the envoy and the organization?
That's really well done 0.0
question the the bell tower aun tan and tian yiang fought here and why ?
It's Aunt Han and Chu Qingquan who fought. As for the reason, you can read this:
You can only post links in media channel
why tian yiang need that scroll she had ?
The text literally said he needs it to slay the envoy...
and confused me as if she so powerful why the heck she didn't help us when the enemy attack the blissful retreat
Dunno there has to be a reason not yet explained
I dont know why but i feel since this game is a lot focus in the china story and more stuff they should increase the budget for better translation
i saw people in reddit who played in CN and talking how awful and how much information people from global are missing or getting confused with the translation
Well send feedback to customer service then. Complaining about it here won't do much.
nah there probably enought feedback but as a new player the whole story was very confusing like I didnt have clue the heck was going on
Pretty sure its a bot
I didnt know who was who and why we fought some people and etc like the whole thing was chaotic as my experience
I even have to put the voice in chinese because a lot dialogue were missing plus a lot voice line is AI sound robotic (no talking about main content but more like random npc or side quest )
this quest of becoming a horse is š
I don't think so. Having some background on the history of China, especially the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms, definitely helps, but the basic story is still pretty easy to understand. At first glance, it's a classic heroās journey: the MC carries a hidden secret they grew up unaware of, and their parental figures also have their own share of mysteries that attract enemies who want to uncover or claim them. Thatās the main story.
For the side stories, you definitely have to read more item descriptions or listen to NPC chatter. Gathering Dark Surges will also give you a clearer picture of whatās happening in the background, so the storytelling is more like Elden Ring, where you arenāt spoon-fed information. Itās definitely a far cry from Genshin Impact, where Paimon regurgitates every bit of information to hammer it into players and treat them like kids.
hahaha that last part got me XD
The main point is you have to pay attention.
I remember someone said that we would meet Aunt Han again, but in another map => future update
In Mohist Hill, yeah.
having someone like the lady from bg3 would help a lot
Yeah, and they already have the Mohist Hill map in the game. It's jut not opened yet. Guess this would be the next big update
BIG ZHAO IS THE EMPEROR HIDING AS A COMMONER!!
Please censor that this isn't spoiler discussion.
Yes the guy is hillarious
š
Dear developers. I just want to play the game not to feels hurts
I am kinda curious, do the "immortals" in wwm have longevity like most wuxia staples? There dosent seem to be anything that implies they live long lives
generally almost everyone you see in the game atm are not immortals, with very very, extreme exceptions
How many of them are immortals? The guy controlling the bug at the start of the game is one I presume? Any others?
assuming the immortal you mention is referring to the immortal cultivators, the game isn't really about cultivating. This game is themed around wuxia, not xianxia. It's more about legendary (pretty much magical) martial artists, and doesn't involve tribulations / demons / etc etc
ah, that kinda explains things
Trauma builds character
there arent any actual long lived immortals then?
the bug guy immortality is questionable, and we'll have to wait for the world story to progress. I assume the donkey daoist is definitely a cultivator, but he's apparently some sort of "easter egg", referencing a popular mythical character
Yh I have
gz
there is a true ending? How
im trying to 100% qinghe and wanna die atm
Secret cutscene more like. It's about Tian Ying.
Do oddities included to 100% area?
probably
I did not even know about this
I already finished my qinghe oddities so I'm too lazy to gather the rest.
I think no? Bcs they respawns
They... don't though? I already cleaned out Kaifeng.
Dang, I mean that's good things now you can upgrade your oddities things to bai ji or others npc but you don't need to gather all oddities for 100% area achievement
A friend of mine ended up with more bugs than he needed to complete the Qinghe oddity tree. Made me think it will always appear until we 100% it?
Yeah
nah they just put more than we need I think.
It's respawn bcs I gather from clinic like 3-4 times already
