I think after doing the battlecrest slope quest in Qinghe you can track joining the sect as a mission in the sects screen

You'll need to drink 9 different types of wine, you'll get this mission eventually when you do the quests to join the sect. If you have pitch pot mini games left to complete, each of them count as a different type of wine.

You should be attacking the boss as much as possible to keep applied the divine craft even if it require to go off your rotation, when the boss does his fire breath you can go below and dodge to get 10 to 20 stacks of humble defense, if you can keep applying your fire breath as much on boss aswell its big damages and you can also control the boss Qi by blocking or dodging instead of parying some attacks so when he does the annoying triple charge you can instantly break him

technically the hardest permanent content in the game doesn't require you to level anything up at all
that would be the abyss trials - no hit, which sets everything to lv1 anyways

besides that, there are events like the current one howlion's trial, where you compete against other players to score as many points by doing damage to the boss to get on the leaderboard

other than those 2, the only meaningful content that you use your gear against would be just bosses on their first clear

sword trials and hero realm (5 player and 10 player raids) are a good place to flex your gear to get top damage in the run. you play these to get more gear so they are more considered farming stages than endgame
