I saw something in the trailer that peaked my interest it may have been a skin for the tang dao but the sword we use for the nameless sword was on our left hip instead of our back and we used the nameless sword basic moveset but there was something different the charged heavy that shoots beams at the target was done without any charge up

It's because their philosophy is based on Buddhism but not actually what Buddhism preaches or represents, yea? CN release assumes the audience has some background understanding and familiarity with actual Buddhist teachings to properly contextualize this fictional sect. But in a global audience where Buddhism might be an unfamiliar topic, there could be a risk that some people think murdering people is actually part of the real philosophy. Idk just speculating. I’ve noticed something with the ruby quest and yi dao quest after blissful retreat

The mc speaks as if he hasn’t been there in some time and this is also reflected with what other characters say during the yi dao quest

tldr; because of food shortage, zheng e family saved shen yilun along other people during times of turbulent where a famine was going on. shen yilun inspired by zheng e goal of ever normal for all (no ones starves etc.) decides to follow his lead. shen yilun has an older brother who became a bandit due to the food shortages. when the brothet found out he raided the whole village (the sorrowfield village where zheng family used to live) and burned it. the burning event is everything that happened in the legacy/lost chapter quest tweleve years of feud.
