I have a question. I just did the encounter quest for mistveil forest and lifted the fog. So does this mean that the dawn to dusk flowers are the direct cause for sleeping puppets? I thought it was the moth thingied that we see enter the void king's eye during the very first cutscene.

Also I didnt kill the sleeping puppet trying to heal that dead person. MC mentions it was the elder that saved her? I thought it was the silver needle guy who saved us from poisoning and help formulate the cure. But he was still alive when I got back.

I started this quest way before but I put it off cuz I got distracted. Who exactly was that odd sleeping puppet?

The River Master role is passed down through a certain family which I cant remember the name of, but its the family of the old man we see in the 9th Jianghu legacy of Kaifeng. The River Dragon carp monster is created by feeding a regular carp a special kind of poison which gives them their huge size and ability to stop the floods by creating waterways in the soil I believe, but this poison causes them great pain and they have to be killed in 15 years. The old man was unable to kill Zhu Yus River Dragon, which is why we take on that role instead and fulfill what Zhu Yu couldn't

The Zheng clan was well off and during the famine shared their grain with the starving villagers, Shen Yilun the actual grain master and one of Zheng Es close childhood friends who died at the end of Granary of Plenty campaign was one of the poor villagers who Zheng E's family helped save. When they were children, the three of them (Zheng E, his sister, and Shen Yilun) made a promise that they would help the commonfolk and make sure nobody starved or something along those lines. Shen Yiluns older brother was the leader of some bandits who basically burned and pillaged Zheng E's place and the entire village because they thought the Zhengs were hiding grain from them, and they ended up killing Zheng Es sister. Zheng E later was adopted by Zhu Yu and Feng Yi, and would later get support from the Ember of East to capture and disguise as Shen Yilun (grain master), transporting the rations of grain meant for the military down into the underground cavern place to distribute to the villagers. In the end of the campaign, Zheng E got a wake up call from Shen Yilun who reminded him of their promise and that his current methods weren't what the three of them wanted, and so Zheng E returned to acting as the grain master.
The Dawn to Dusk blossoms have way more lore behind them, but in Zheng Es case he was presumably using them to keep his sisters body from decomposing as well as to weaken Song government + military power through infecting people with the disease caused by those blossoms.

Hiya! I finished campaign in Gleaming Abyss yesterday and it was quite a nice experience! Area is beautiful and terrifying at once.
