To put it simply, I feel like the naming scheme for your classes goes a long way for determining both their rigidity or flexibility. And I know a lot of basic classes are designed with rigidity in mind. But I just find myself a little disappointed that more folks have not tried a bit harder to break basic restrictions.

It's just a lot of conforming to the template. Which is fine, but I also feel like this is also a recipe for fading into obscurity.

This is true. But what does it mean to attack and defend for each game? There are different enemy archetypes. Where Winds Meet is actually a good example for what i'm about to say. What if you have a few more enemies similar to this game? Where you're fighting more "sentient" enemies. It opens up the potential for more creativity in skill creation, in my opinion.
