Hi everyone! Not sure if my question belongs here, but I was wondering the following.. I've tried using Gemini CLI and provided it with the required GEMINI.md, README.md, tasks.md, requirements.md and design.md - I am trying to build something very simple, but each time I talk to the CLI and say something slightly more complex, it builds the most simple thing it can do and ignores half of what I said to it. After ~20 prompts it starts taking a lot of time to finish what it's doing and it goes into an infinite loop and halts, so I have to restart the session, which is inconvenient because it then has to read the context of what we're building from the grounds up. Initially I thought there might be an issue with the .md files so I tried modifying or removing them completely, yet the same results were given back. For the record, the task is super simple, I ask of it to build me an index.html so I can prototype the UI of a web application (buttons, their place, etc) and it struggles with the most simple tasks and does the bare minimum compared to AI Studio (using both gemini 2.5 flash / pro) or using the Gemini chat itself (gemini.google.com). Isn't the CLI supposed to use the same model under the hood? In the .gemini folder I created a settings.json where I instructed it to use the flash model, since the PRO was taking forever to answer a simple question, but compared to AI Studio and Gemini chat - the performance is way, way worse. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Forgot to mention the settings.json also contains a system instruction to provide the CLI with a persona and explain to it what it's supposed to help with and how to act.

I am stuck with yahoo as browser, i have reinstalled chrome, changed the standard browser to google, deleted yahoo from the list even. On my other google accounts I can have google as my standard browser but on this one it is completely stuck on yahoo. Everytime i search something it redirects me to yahoo search. I suspect i have been hacked. I have deleted all extensions and tried multiple anti virus software. What should I do?

EDIT: No, it's not a bad thing, its just to get good environments. They're important for art.

Double edit: To hell with it, I will just share here. If you are having issues with getting an accurate environment, what I have found helps most, whether or not this is a good thing to do I don't know, but I utilize Gemini. I will take a picture of the environment from google or irl, ask gemini to make a safe prompt of the image, and edit that to my liking in order to get what I am aiming for.

I pick gemini because I find it has generally better image deciphering than say Claude.

No, you should just use your prompt as something to vaguely but specifically enough build from in a way that can be consistent @ Google labs I am okay with being hired, if like that's something you guys want 🙂

The image itself for content contextual reference is very very important. I spent like 40$ to learn this testing with and without. A prompt without image for me often meant no consistency unless it was with a model I have trained for a while.

I joined the free trial of flow yesterday evening and saw I had 1000 credits. I have made 4 videos and now only have 20 credits left. I was using veo 3 fast, which is 20 credits a video. So where'd all my credits go?

i think one renews monthly and one is a one-time thing (i don't know, just guessing off context in the image though)

they probably offer more credits on subscription like roblox does, hoping you'll forget to cancel or like the service enough that you let it renew

becuase they add many zeros and then you end up making like 10 videos in some services

fast quality with sound is like 20

there's a different, older model available to use that is probably cheaper, without audio, but i don't know how much cheaper exactly

Hey, I need some help with Flow.
Whenever I click “Create with Flow”, it gets stuck on the screen saying “Flow – A new state of creation” and never loads the creation interface.

Location: Israel (supported country).

Using personal Gmail (not Workspace).

Tried Chrome (latest version) + Incognito.

Cleared cookies/cache for labs.google.com.

Still stuck after multiple tries.

👉 Is this a known issue? Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
