Hello! Is there any chance to remove the BlindPup dependency?
I'd like to have it for my modpack but a lot of people complained when adding the blind pup on other moons :']
its a soft dependency, you can just remove it and it wont break anything
When adding it into a modpack. It will auto install
And when removing it, it will ask to remove the moons, even if it's not a forced dependency
you can still choose to remove only that specific mod, but it is true that it'll mess w modpack stuff
it would be nice if it had a config or something

The thing is that blind pups doesn't have a good config, It will always have a chance to spawn on all moons
And people don't want them to spawn on exp
ill think on it. blindPups is supposed to get a config soon (afaik its just dmg but spawns might be added as well) and its the "intended balance" but ik most people dont really dig it. its tagged to spawn on canyon and wasteland iirc, and then dirge as well
thats up to autumnis in the end but it has been brought up to them before
yeah I think the big issue with blindPups is that there's no way to control where they spawn, and if they spawn on a moon with mineshaft you just can't play the game at all
you can kinda say the same of barbers
issue is barbers don't usually spawn on mineshaft moons
but sierra and a bunch of canyon/wasteland moons just kinda have mineshaft a ton of the time

its what i balanced it for but ill probably just remove it as a soft dependency with the next update, and make it more like toystore/bioD/football etc are where its strongly recommended instead

Yeah the dogs inside are neat on Dirge but the mod has no limiter on where they can spawn as best as I can tell
so they just show up randomly and on many moons they're kind of completely untenable
I'd rather not have to redesign my entire pack around the rare chance there might be a dog inside on most moons

What was the fire exit gimmick before 0.3.5?
dirge had 2 fire exits doubled up on eachother on the outside, making it have functionally 2 inside fire exits but only 1 outside. autumnis showed me it on temper and it burrowed into my brain lol
didnt fit+dirge will get alternate landing scenes w diff fire exit counts so its axed

nah its interior size is equal to assurance/offense/embrion at 1.15~, so its not Needed but it sure is Fun. thats why im adding an actual extra fire exit on a diff landing scene.

youre totally fine! lll has a cool feature where it can randomly roll the moon scene, where it can change the outside terrain to a diff one. basically it can let me do stuff like this (phaedra's entire outside on dirge, but still keeping normal dirge as a diff landing site)
so 1 moon could have a ton of diff landing sites to change how it plays completely just based on chance

I think it's supposed to be a sorta force field thingy
its intentional. you can see the fence's shimmer. i have an alternate scene of pelagia w no kill barrier and some ai nodes scattered around out there (pelargia) but scene selection is either broken in mp rn or i just didnt set it up correctly

old birds refuse to spawn and i cant prevent blind pups from spawning
can you make a config for the blind pup spawns on your moons?
im trying to keep it as similar to dine as possible on my modpack and i cant find any way to stop the smalldogs from spawning
blindPups spawning is not controlled on altMoons end, sorry. youd have to bug autumnis about this in their thread. and zero idea whats breaking OB spawns besides it not having the pool size for more than one to spawn (which is intended, more than the solo OB is not enjoyable at all) but that shouldnt be the case.

i assumed the blind pups thing was you because it said blind pups were guaranteed on dirge on the store page
and harvest doesnt seem to have a config
from what autumnis mentioned the other day, harvestMoons (by itself) shouldnt spawn blind pups on Dirge, its just the standalone mod thats tagged for dirge. and unfortunately neither have configs. this was a reason it was removed as a dependency in the manifest, some people didnt like em as much but its still "intended".
if you do find out anythings on my end please feel free to ping me again, though, and ill work to fix it.
it seems to be on harvest's end then because i dont have standalone blind pups installed
once i playtest bramble a few times ill see if anythings up

would super recommend, i beat my hardcore playthru late last year and it was possibly the best experience ive had in Years lol
spoiled me on dialogue choices and companion characters
you can typically see it thru the door frame when you wipe. it translates to "one day i will be back at your side", which i think is fitting (esp for dirge, whos residents were primarily french)
hope you enjoy the moons 
all 3 current moons had french offshoot residents as their settlers lol. idk why i did it. phaedra has a bunch of canadians, pelagia is all cajun and creoles, and like i mentioned dirge is primarily full french

this means in my modpack creoles invaded an entire jungle nebula and immediately were corrupted by maskeds
infernis and lecaro in the jungle place...
im gonna be completely honest i had no clue where to put them lol
lecaro i was actually considering placing in crater
but
i felt putting it next to infernis worked better
infernis makes since because at least that one has some sort of ancient theming
idk ive always been iffy on lecaro but idk if theres anywhere better
i don't see that on infernis
im mainly thinking like
old rocks, kicking them down to make a bridge
all the various trees scattered around
actually it could possibly fit on crab (tropical nebula) but all the spots are taken

im gonna be rebalancing them to have a proper difficulty curve ofc but theming wise
the bonus moons can be routed to from any nebula and contain gold scrap btw

if it matters for consideration sierra, fray and temper are canonically all in the same solar system (you can even see sierra during an eclipse on fray)

i did admittedly slap temper all the way in snowball as its free moon because i had no clue where to put it
i didnt wanna replace feign because its a good sister moon to haul
dirge i felt matched dine's "manor but slightly more industrial" get-up
i could maybe replace reign but idk if itd even matter cuz both temper and reign are VERY close to the vanilla snow moons compared to anything else in snowball
im basically stuck with 4 "vanilla" tundras and only 3 slots
this is a fair point but of note: i wouldn't say temper makes for the best free moon, the spawns there are dubious in nature

Out of all the English words out there, Dirge is one of my favourites. It flows nicely and I love what it represents.
(For anyone wondering, Dirge in French translates to Elégie).

at the very bottom, quicksand making up the canyon floor. you can jetpack over it onto cliffs, but there'd be no point
could always go with "Hidros" or "Hidrus"
as long as someone has TerminalConflictFIX, moons of close naming will be just fine
if a lethalbundle has the EXACT same name (for example, Fission in Expert Moons and Fission-C in Wesley's Moons both having the bundle name of "fission"), THEN there comes an issue. one of them will be skipped to avoid duplicate entry issues

the only originality you need are ingame moon name and lethalbundle name not matching any others letter for letter
if it were an issue, we wouldnt have Thalasso due to Thalassic, no Celestria due to Celest, no Aquar due to Aquatis, and (at the time) no Asteroid-14 due to Asteroid-13
in hindsight tho, maybe nudging Generic to change "Zenith" to another name because of Tolian's "Zenit" was a dumb move

Is Pelagia still made for Toy Store? Or is the new default interior Storehouse?
In the changelogs it says "interior is SUPPOSED to be Toystore interior from Wesleys", but in the newest readme it says "Generic Interiors Storehouse will spawn here if it is installed." with no mention of Toy Store.
I know this is very likely the stupidest question when I can just use both but it would still be nice to know.
its actually made for genericInterior's Tower. used to really like storehouse on it but thats moved to phaedra since. afaik wes' interiors dont come with pelagia weights out of the box, so its no longer the "intended" interior.

sometimes i forget i put these on my moons and rediscover them. i think phaedras is the easiest to find just cause the nefarious carriers spawn in droves
pelagia lacks one currently but 0.3.7 should be out this month and ill make sure to hide a cheeky one ;^)
Another thing I was going to ask, are the default monster weights for Pelagia still good for Toy Store, or has all focus been moved to balancing around Tower
the interior's not that much of a factor in the spawn weights anymore, to be honest. but yea, the focus has been moved to balancing around tower. (mostly cause it has the weights for it out of the box, unlike toystore)
iirc I've personally used cozy office on phaedra, scoopy's sewers on pelagia, and storehouse on dirge
i like the sewers and storehouse choices, dirge plays well w storehouse, but why cozyOffice on phae? genuinely just curious
Good question, I just got that vibe from it tbh.
Pelagia -> sewer felt like the obvious choice to me cause swampy (and I also love some of the tiles on that interior)
Dirge -> storehouse is a little harder to explain, I think it's cause of how the building looks on the moon. Love the fire exit on there btw 🔥 I think I lowkey went for it cause having a storage facility in a chilled/cool environment seemed universally more probable, kind of like a fridge in a weird way.
And Phaedra... I wanna say I was kind of inspired by the rolling giant video, and was looking for a forest moon to use the rolling giant mod on. Partly that, and partly cause it gives Artifice vibes in the sense that it doesn't quite feel foresty like march or desert-y like offense. So I did something diff for interior theme

i do think if you want to continue w that storage theme, try hangar over storehouse on dirge. ive grown to like it, esp w the visual changes it does based on moon tag+its easier to dodge the pups w the larger interior.
its embrion~ tier so something similar to Grand Armoury's size is enjoyable imo
and also another suggestion, try Dam on phaedra. i havent personally tried it, but if i enjoy it ill likely suggest it as the interior over reviving an old one for phaedra lol (one day, bunker.)

pelagia doesnt have many 2h scraps, its mostly lamps cash registers and paintings. so the jump up to ship cause no ladder is intentional

and ig appy as well if you use interiors w that but i havent used toystore on pelagia in forever..

Speaking of Autumnis I still find it funny vanilla posterization crashes his new moon ☠️ I had to turn the Sponge shader back on so we can play on it next time we play
(it doesn't it's a weird conflict but the moon works perfectly fine on its own without sponge)

and it's hard to say which since no other moons wanna crash and the game doesn't seem to give a descriptive reason in the crash dump

In my modpack all moons are free and you have only 3 choices of moons every day (I don't really like the buying moon mechanic since the beginning of lethal company)
You have to choose what difficulty you want for each day
Because there is already so much thing to buy in modded

In my old 270 mods modpack I've used freeeeemoons and LQ
i do something similar to this. i use lethalMoonUnlocks to shuffle 3 free+3 paid and customMoonPrices to make them all functionally free. would recommend looking into something similar, if thats what youve been asking about lol

Mine had a stark contrast of green grass, dark-brown mud and dark-blue water, with the layout making it so you had to walk the long way around if you wanted to not drown when going from the ship to the facility and back.
At least the trees were good against Old Birds.
@proud swift Just wanna let you know there's an issue with altMoons that causes some things to break after lobby reloads, for example we started to get desyncs between the host and clients and the Home command from @late venture's Terminal Stuff mod stopped working
Removing the mod did indeed fix all of this

have you tried reinstalling altMoons and seeing if it still happens?
I would suspect it's how it integrates the logs through CustomStoryLogs potentially
that causes the lobby reload stuff like terminal commands to stop working

I checked the logs and didn't see any errors unfortunately, I did however see a CustomStoryLogs error
which is why I think one of the logs fails to register after lobby reload
I can send my pack, it's pretty easily reproduceable by reloading the lobby. Should just need to toss your moons pack in

As for desyncs basically we had a visual desync on a moon where a cactus from CR was appearing for clients but not me as host, then some clients got soft locked. Idk if that was your fault or just Lethal having issues but that was also after a lobby reload where we tried to ignore some terminal commands being broken so I suspected a chain reaction of some sort
I don't see how a story log would be related to CR cacti being desynced...
ill take a look at this after i eat, cant promise anything esp w a big pack like this (could be anything in here lol) but i have been meaning to get around to some housecleaning. so good a time as any
if i find anything itll get fixed for a future update (should be soon™)
lll Can but theres no documentation on how to do it (as far as ive dug around) and what little ive tried misbehaves more than CSL..
im also not super happy w CSL just flat out, being able to just read the txt kinda puts a dampner on my drive to write but whatever lol
It ain't too bad, only issue I've had with LLL story logs is reloading the lobby causes them to not show up on the terminal anymore and breaks the sigurd list, but it's something I patch in my library

It's been a little more then a month since anything was said here so I'm asking if anything has been done with altmoons lately
nothing ive pushed to thunderstore, unfortunately. slowly getting back into the swing of working on the unity side of things, been playing a BUNCH of solo+varying crews over the past few months with only altMoons+vanilla and stinking on what i want to change, so my bad its not super apparent that theres anything being done. plan is finishing up art passes+rebalances+additions then move on to starting the concepted moons.
monty and generic regularly dm me to remind me to work on stuff again on top of me having an itch to create, so id expect Something (outside of just me pushing some small fixes or smth)
the rebalances will be heftier on some moons than others ;^)
I can't wait to see you cook vodka

shes difficult to work with...

i love her too, shes an absolute cutie, but the way she spawns can cause a lot of problems if the map isnt really friendly to how she can just. blow the fuck up.
that and i dont think ive ever stolen her eggs and i play pretty much 24/7.
hard to make that work without it feeling shoehorned in so whatever.

Got an interesting question, while redoing my moon weights I noticed Pelagia is using the Extra Large Version of the Facility lmao why?
It's unused in Vanilla so I'm curious how well it even works lol
does it? ill have to tweak it later, was going to add tags to pela for castellum carnis instead of tower and never got around to it (couldnt decide on living or bloody tag but ill prolly go living)
Yeah it does, I just fixed it to use both a weight of 200 for normal Facility and Expanded Facility instead of the 200 weight for Level1 Extra Large

hopefully. been taking a step away from modded lc (almost exclusively playing only vanilla since v80 dropped) cause everythings all hairy. gives me a lot of anxiety to update the project too lol
unsure what ill use from the v80 update, mob-wise, but ill definitely be doing it.
