As the name suggests, add monsters from cry of fear, and maybe remodel vanilla ones in that body horror style and make it an option in the mods config. Just imagine walking through the facility searching for scrap and you barely see this horrific abomination at the end of the hallway with your flashlight. It would add to the psychological horror side of the game

I don't think it would be that hard to add them either (except for the ai ig), the models themselves already look good for lethal company because they're low poly

this is actually not a bad idea if there was a Nightmare interior heavily based on either Afraid of Monsters or Cry of Fear 👀

Honestly these things could fit in just about any interior; it's weird though how Chainsaw Massacre at Home looks like a bit like a malnourished Coilhead.

hmm maybe I have an idea as to how they would spawn:

The Book:

The Book would be a hazardous scrap item that will spawn in monsters both inside and outdoors. As long as the Book exists in the game, in the facility, in the ship or held by the player, the monsters will be added to the spawn table regardless of moon settings or interior.

List of Monsters:

Interior Monsters:

  • Slower (including Crouchers and Crawlers)
  • Regular enemies with 0.5 power level. Wanders around and attacks employees when spotted. Behaviour depends on how it spawns (either a Walker, Runner, Croucher or Crawler.) Can be killed in 3 hits, cause of death is Bludgeoning and the player ragdoll has no effect.
  • Stranger
  • Special enemy with 3 power level. Extremely slow, but has a damaging aura around it that drains 5 health every second. Can be killed in 5 hits, cause of death is Unknown and the player ragdoll will have no head.
  • Faster
  • Fast enemy with 1 power level. Acts as a slightly slower Thumper, that can turn corners very well. Can be killed in 4 hits, cause of death is Stabbing and the player ragdoll has no effect.
  • Sawer
  • Dangerous enemy with 3 power level. Alternates between a walk and run. Only chases if a player is close to it, and only stops until the player is dead or outside. Cannot be killed, cause of death is Mauling and the player ragdoll is the same as the Barber's.

Outdoors (Night-Time) Monsters:

  • Taller
  • Tall monster with 2 power level. Walks menacingly around the map in search of players. Punch deals 90 damage. Can be killed in 20 hits, cause of death is Bludgeoning and the player ragdoll will be sent flying.
  • The False Biomass (Human Flower / Watro)
  • Infection-based enemy with 2 power level. Human Flower spreads Watros that attack anything if they get too close. Human Flower can't be killed. Watros can be killed in 3 hits. Cause of death is Unknown, and player ragdoll will disappear.

Both:

  • Book Simon (Spawns outdoors, can go inside facility)

these are admittingly a random assortment of monsters at best. I missed out some like Sawrunner, because I have no idea how to even balance them to work in Lethal Company.

Damn... these are like really good ideas man, didn't even expect it to gain any attention. I now hope other coders and modelers will consider this concept

The license looks promising to just rip the model assets and work on getting them into Unity as working 3D models

Btw I didn't even really play the game. I have only 35 minutes of playtime since I'm too lazy to play single player games. I definitely gotta finish it tho, really enjoyed it from the start

what if monster spawning was related to your sanity, like simon is fucking nuts right, so why not spawn them only if the player is insane enough, or when alone in the facility or sum like that, or when players split up
