the performance is a bit rough, 10-15 fps drop compared to vanilla and a few other modded interiors
other than that it looks pretty great, the anomaly rooms/corridors are really cool

Interior seems pretty cool! Could definitely use some optimizations. I also had this weird issue where the lights would flicker a lot when moving/turning. But I like what I see so far!

So the flickering is intentional? Because it looks buggy af, it's only when the camera moves
yeah from my testing it would be totally lit up when looking in a certain direction, then bitch black at a different angle

for me drops sometimes depending of the room im in.(mostly in those school "clinic" rooms idk what to call them)

they only open client side

ye tested it against the vanilla factory interior and also the office interior, getting 90-100 frames on yours whilst I'm getting 115-120 on those other 2 that I compared with

so make the number like 300 if you want it to have the same spawn chance as all the other interiors
I know how the weights work. It's close to 300 with 300 being about 50%
But it's so weird. I have multiple interior mods for the game to pick between and your interior has the highest chance and isn't getting picked. And neither is the WW1 bunker anymore
Playing with 5 others, parts of the map will randomly cause your screen to go black

I could see through walls when this happened. Not always pitch black. And never more than for a couple of seconds
Blacklisting just changes the method it uses, it doesn't outright disable it (afaik)

I'm not sure, I think there was a specific aspect of the method which broke with some interiors
And you could blacklist those interiors from having that aspect applied
I'm not too familiar, but the dev told me there's no way to fully disable an interior right now
Would explain my issues then. Blacklist should definitely disable the mod completely on the listed interiors, or that feature should be added. Would be very nice

I would instead recommend that people add your flow to the list of interiors that should use fallback portal sizes, since the door socket sizes are small:
edit: apparently this is wrong, a bunch of tile bounds are totally offset from where they should be, so it's best to just blacklist it

I'll be putting out an update to make that the default to avoid more complaints, but it would be nice to make those cover the doors to ensure that the culling is as effective as possible
also, I observed quite a lot of light flickering by using UnityEngine freecam to view the interior from the outside with culling disabled, and it looks like that may be caused by the fact that the lights render regardless of their distance from the camera
with culling on, you'll only end up with a few lights rendering despite that, but without it, viewing at certain angles causes so many lights to be rendering that I think Unity just starts dropping some of them
I'm also wondering if frustum culling isn't working properly, since framerates when looking directly away from the interior were still less than 50fps for me (vs my usual perf of between 120 and 200 fps)
Edited this message for this as well, but apparently a lot of the tile bounds are wrong, including the entry, so culling is getting very confused about where the cameras are. I'll have to disable culling entirely for now
some examples, with the last one being the entry (took a while to find it in free cam)

I do need to take a look at it in editor to ensure that it's not something weird going on with CullFactory, but I've never seen anything like this before

it seems like DunGen isn't set up to handle that at all, although that makes me a little surprised that the door connections didn't get misaligned

in it's current state this interior is challenging in a way i haven't seen yet.

like you need to go into the vents? better mentally map it out perfectly otherwise you might not get back before the ship leaves
actually harder to explore fully than the pool rooms
and this isn't really a complaint. i like that a interior is this hard and tight to explore.
but when enemys start spawning it may end up being a issue unless you just don't let them path to the tighter areas

I did discover that there was still a bit of a quirk with the way DunGen deals with your scaled tiles that I have work around, but with that fixed it's possible rooms disappearing will be totally fixed

yeah i knew about this school mod prior, but i check mods daily and when i saw this i had no idea what it was and thought it was just a random shovelware mod 😭 the mod is great and all but it could be more clear on what it is on the store page

^ yeah, if you set a tileset to be the "these tiles are what should spawn as the start room", you can actually have multiple tilesets with different weights, so you don't necessarily need to delete the existing one to add a new one, just weight the new one more so it shows up more frequently but you can still get the old one from time to time

In general, the dungeon generation after the last update improved a lot.
I think what I would ask for would be:
- A better generation, sometimes you open a door and only find a wall.
- For the mod page to be more "pretty", it only needs a brief description of what your mod is about + some images + what you can configure + credits.
- It would be nice to be able to open the red lockers and find items.
I can vouch for sure, some beta testers also like to slid in DMs, Im also vouching for Lunar too. Im working on a project with Lunar currently too! (And theres possiblity for more lmao - Lunar this is directed in your way :p)
Tho Lunar’s credibility should be fine on its own 😄

AND has good scrap spawns
its a miracle
two different versions with a shaded-in face and thumbs up - though it's still the same facial expression (not sure how different you wanted it to be)

I've been having issues with interior when playing with friends. We all have same settings for school interior. I load in just fine, but my friends keep falling through map and don't see interior at all. Even when viewing me when they're dead. I'm always host if that any difference.
Are you all using LLLFixed?
I'm not in front of computer right now. Should I be using LLL Fixed?
LLL fixed is recommended bc some people see different interiors and planets or no interior at all
I do have LLLFixed for both me and my friends

I recommend adding imgur imgaes showing the interiors on the mod's thunderstore page though

Removing lll and using lllfixed instead fixed this issue for me & my friends

How viable is the concept of a tile that is a normal room that you enter but the geometry slowly warps so that by the time you reach the other side of the tile you're on the "ceiling"?

small info update: the posters are still being worked on but ive been personally been playing a game called midnight ghost hunt
few issues i found
first one is just navigation issues, second one is geberation issues i think

ik you havent been the most motivated to work on it but would a recompile on the recent version be possible? sometimes when loading up it causes a unity error when loading the assets
similer issues are caused by other non updated interiors
that would be fixed by a recomp
if i finish the update im workin on i plan to fix any problems like that

idk exactly how it works and i am gunna take a bit of a break now that its out
You have to add cull factory support
i mean it works with cull factory, but it sometimes does some weird things with visuals
its not always, but can be annoying sometimes
ive spent 6 to 8 hours everyday for 3 weeks straight and this isnt a game breaking problem since ive tested and ran it fine without cull factory
dont get me wrong i get that its good for people with bad pcs but it still works its not like it crashes
you have to learn to code without ai writing it all
I did bring this up during testing but it might've slipped through the cracks

They were talking about blacklisting the interior in cull factory, usually that means that the interior does not support cull factory yet.
i really just couldn't be bothered fixing something involving another mod when it runs completely fine without it

my modpack have 180 mos and take 1Gb and this mod take 30% of the space
