It will be pretty fun trying to work out compatability with other ship modifying mods now that other people are starting to do stuff like that
The only thing I can really think of would be to split the ship into sections and write some sort of API other modders can use to do their own things, like remove walls to add extra rooms, that way you aren't stepping on each other's toes
That would be a ton of work, though, and it still wouldn't be guaranteed to avoid conflicts

The only mod I know of is the 2 Story Ship Mod.
It has support for Wider Ship and Ship Windows

Hey y'all. Anyone still using this mod should know that Masked consistently walk right through the closed front-door of your Ship and will usually kill at least one person before your crew can panic and launch.
Do you have another mod modifying the ship?

yeah, chances are this might be because I'm doing something on my end that's messing with something Ship Windows is trying to do. I can check into this in case that's what's happening, though I've never experienced this while using the 2 mods together
Did you change any mod configs by chance?
Double check they don't have some other mod such as CodeRebirth erroring first, I've had cases where one mod errors and then ShipWindows errors after
Which then causes it to get stuck
It's usually always a chain reaction
Also the reason it may just say ShipWindows here is cus the error might have occured on the client's end

Looks like this is because the posters on the walls of the ship were deleted by another mod. Ship windows tracks these and tries to restore them when the windows are despawned so everything goes back to a 'vanilla' state

mainly because just.. very very weirdly a polaroid keeps spawning in the Ship after each exit. And for friends it spawns during play. We usually just throw it away because it's broken

Anyone tested some of my mods with v65? 
yes. No issues as of now with this
But one issues that still stands even before 65 is this. Dunno if it's something you can fix or some crusierfix/addition mod could fix but you can interact with the car from the inside of the ship with ship windows. Got CruiserAdditions that adds some features to the cruiser, one of which is activating/deactivating the magnet from the cruiser which is alittle bit of a problem

this bugged out the cruiser for a while for us

Why does VanillaMode = true remove the shutter switch? Could we have an option for a client-sided shutter switch?

Maybe pull the mod out, try clearing unused cache and readd it
It would be a caching issue probably so try that if you still get the error then I think Testy should look into it. I know in my own pack I tested the update and it didn't error though when testing the new version

just gonna ask why the shutter lever don't save its coordinates position when using furniture lock when starting a save
The shutter switch is currently not properly done.
This will change in future updates
Every time something goes wrong, the save breaks - unnecessary windows are bought. it would be useless to disable them in the terminal
I don't think that's a ShipWindows specific issue though...
In my save files, for example, I keep unlocking the CodeRebirth stuff without my consent 
well I only have one solution

- create shop item for each window
- bind window gameobject to this shop item

I had thought of some ideas like chopping the ship up into small pieces that could be swapped out, turning it into voxels, or even mesh reconstruction, but that was after I burned out, plus I'm not that skilled with unity/c# tbh. I'm curious what you plan to do
The ship model being a monolith really complicates things for other modders now that ship mods are becoming more common, and makes compatibility difficult

That would make your computer load them slower than a dial-up modem from the 90s, if I did my research correctly

If it's taking 4-5 minutes to load some voicelines and your cpu is hitting 100% you got something else going on

I always start my Testing modpack and never experienced anything like that.
The only thing was items falling through the ship, which was fixed a long time ago afaik
It's just in longer play sessions sometimes stuff hidden through LethalPipeRemoval and stuff will reappear which means the save has corrupted
I've been doing a long save file rn with Wesley's Journeys without Ship Windows and it hasn't occurred so I think it's something to do with the Shutter Switch and how it isn't registered properly
And this stuff still re-appears upon loading the save again?

Otherwise this isn't save corruption as nothing has been corrupted
It's pretty random but yeah that does corrupt the save, it usually breaks other things too

Yeah which shows it registers ShipWindows being present but it can't grab the Windows for the walls, cus if it didn't register it then it would use Mel's default windows, also the material applies to the Window on the 3rd floor

The code was impossible to maintain in my opinion and some things could be handled better.
For example, in the beta version the ship is cut into 6 pieces.
This allows me to not require a model for every possible combination of windows

The ship model is not very straight/flat
