The fix usually makes the screen get further away so you can see the same as 16:9 monitor, but your cube is smaller and there can be a few visual bugs

Can never go wrong with older ergonomic keyboards and even older pc cases - they used to make them so solid compared to now.
I had to do some insane workaround from an older version of microsoft mouse and keyboard program and copy an xml file from that into a newer version of said program since an update removed support for older stuff a long time ago and also older version did not work on windows 10.
I would also avoid these older keyboards that use wireless - the input delay is very obvious
Another sexy keyboard is probably this logitech g510, but finding this for a reasonable price is almost impossible
friend has one of these though and customises the led panel on linux with something

About the wireless and input delay, that's what I was worrying about
I will probably go with the same keyboard as yours
And try to figure out how to get those favorite buttons working in linux

Another fun looking keyboard came out in vista era. But it uses bluetooth

You got me feeling nostalgic now, I feel like if any of us at the time knew how bad Windows was gonna end up becoming Vista would have been far less hated lol
So many vista laptops had this style of keycaps on them lol
I really wish Vista had its time for a bit longer without Win7 replacing it really fast, and get remembered as less hated but more classic like Win XP and 7
Another microsoft ergonomic keyboard. This one is wired. Looks a bit too much even for me but I still love how it looks. Other than the fact that now the silver part is only on the rims
I might use this type of keyboard in the future since it looks like they would help me to finally learn how to touch type
Little Note : I'm learning how to do GPU collision efficiently since the way current meta ball handles it is just every pixel checking for distance to every drops. Which is stupid. Hopefully this would lead to being able to do blood effect in tandem with rain effect.
Do mods with unity project has two separate repository for libaray and unity project?

I really like this one, i love the stuff directly from vistas era specifically that follow black/silver, however i never thought thered be one thats silver and white and i think it turned out pretty sexy

Do you guys think where rain effect and snow effect should coexist at the same time would happen?
It snowed today while I work and got some idea for snow effect but don't think I can make it work with rain effect at the same time
Also two days ago I only drank 1 bottle of soju and it was enough to make me drunk apparently
that wouldve been enough for me too
I mean its 16°-25° so kinda makes sense that an ENTIRE bottle would make you drunk xD

i havent had it happen myself in a large modpack (180 mods) so it isnt that common
but if you know the cause it could be worth fixing
Keyboard arrived and the delay is defo there enough to feel it. Probably not good for things that require fast reflex, but not bad enough to have problem day to day typing. But I can see it bugging people who are sensitive to delays like this.
But then it's my first wireless so maybe it's normal?
It very much depends on the quality. My mouse, for example, is pretty damn responsive.
But I did have my fair share of old or cheap wireless keyboards... They're awful 😅

it does depend, it is old wireless tech so yes - but i do use a wireless mouse and i did use a wireless modern keyboard and both were blazingly responsive. its kind of hard to tell in the video. also i see that ps2 there, thats based. this keyboard looks so good though, i wish it had wired cause itd bug me a bitt

well i know the vibe's not at all similar but there are plenty of mechanical keyboards that resemble the 90s typewriter look if you'd be interested in those, although there is a big generation gap in between

the distance falloff is pretty significant on wireless keyboards
if it's not already close to the keyboard try putting them side by side and compare the latency

The mod still works, it's been in my pack for ages and continues to be. I've heard tell of sound looping and VFX persistence bugs, but haven't had either myself.
@scarlet mural As I understand it it's being worked on again, but I gather it's not high priority. Seems safe to use the deprecated ver in the meantime, if you're okay w/ risking rare hiccups.

Given the project was originally in beta, I don't think there's a need to rename it; the original name is honestly really good but I guess Thuderstore doesn't like mod pages with similar names, eh?

I've been just quite busy lately
Which is fine btw. Making mods is a passion project so don’t feel pressured about remaking it, just work on it when you’re currently enjoying working on it. Especially when the current version works fine it’s not a big deal.
Modding is only worth it if you’re having fun :p
finally changed monitor again. Since only good thing going on lately is that I'm at least getting paid.
Also I've been playing with visor crack pattern but not sure If I want to keep the previous way of cracking
I'm just hoping new crack pattern I'm making won't obstruct the view too much

since instead of using substance designer, I just decided to sculpt them using blender and bake those into textures
for more control

since there's no parameters
This is just my opinion, but I don't think a rush is necessary.
The important thing is that people see some progress, even if it's just a little.
Even a sneak peek of the new stuff would be more than welcome.

how does it look in 16:9? it looks sooo good

Do you intend on making the cracks procedural, maybe even depending on the relative direction of the damage source?
If not, this is still awesome, just curious on the extents of your plans

how do you render the cracks, is there any extra geometry involved?
It's just a post processing effect using color + alpha and normal map

well if you are considering proc gen then I feel voronoi would work wonderfully
since you can set the points dynamically and say, have smaller cracks around where you want the impact point to be and gradually have bigger/less cracks as it spreads
although the mapping for the shader fx might be difficult to implement with that
Would've been nice if I had the knowledge to do that
But more or less the process sounds similar with how it's done inside substance designer

Have 4 variants of where the impact crack starts for each corner
And crack spreads from there
I'll need like 16 textures (4 for each)
Or have one giant 4 textures and rotate and position the center to where the hit starts

Just bought substance designer 2026 off of steam since my paycheck came in early
I don't know if jumping from 2022 to 2026 is a worthy upgrade though
Since all I wanted from the new version was mostly portal node and maybe few other things
so just loving portal node so far
Just some thoughts, I might be able to make the effects match the visor part swaying when you look around
Using the same method I used to hide effects on visor rim part using render pass to grab rim parts on screen
So I would just map effects texture to mesh uv coordinates grabbed by render pass
Effects not matching rim swaying was something that was always bothering me. Not sure how it would turn out though
