Hello, this is a pretty important TOPIC.

If Ncsoft don't remove this Blessing the game is just gonna die faster.
You cannot max out your gear since its based on RNG, and this RNG is limited to 100/100 Blessing.

In the good old day you could enter infinitly in dungeons and re-do it as much as you want, depending on your luck you might max out some part.
Even then you couldnt max out fast because RNG was low, so we assumed RNG will be higher due to 100 Blessing ? Absolutely not..

If Ncsoft want to keep this game alive they better remove this nonesens Blessing 100/100,
You need to :

Drop :
Your weapons :

  • With good stats x2
  • With soul core
  • With 3 X Mantra core

Then you need to drop your glove :

  • With good stats x2
  • With 3 skills slot
  • With Mantra slot x3

Then you need to drop your necklace :

  • With good stats x2
  • With 3 skills slot
  • With Mantra slot x3

Then you need to drop your Ring :

  • With good stats x2
  • With 3 skills slot

I don't even mention the rest of the details,

If you do your 100 blessing from dungeons and you need to do a quest that ask you to drop something on worldboss you cannot complete it.

Blade & Soul Neo need to have 0 limitation in the farming remove this limit or let your MMORPG Die faster.

I agree with this, especially as all features are not account-bound. (meaning you cannot share incorrect gear you earn to other characters on your account without going through in-game mailbox fees, or not being able to at all).

If they made things account-bound (outfits, inventory, etc.) then you could keep the hongmono blessing as you'd have hongmoon blessing per character, meaning it would be much higher.

@chrome pawn a At the first version of Blade & Soul release you could also trade between players, and farm with no daily limit.
They removed those 2 features making this game a self playing game where the only interest you have in playing with other players is to boost you to the end of the dungeons to get your drop.

This daily 100 limitation can only ruin players experience, and givinh Potion Blessing by Battle Pass make it even worst.

They need to remove the limit, Neo is not a big hit in audiences we don't have a very popular game, don't make it worst. At least let players farm.

Agree with this. I would love to farm like I used to do in previous dungeons. I'd spend all day farming in Naryu Labyrinth helping my clan members unlock the outfits and things. The current system actually benefits bots, because bots can run this content on auto-pilot and tank auction house prices.

It does not matter if you want to do the dungeons 300 times or not, the way they designed the game,
the fact you have RNG on 3 features per weapons/accessory require you to do this dungeons 300 times it does not matter if its in 1 day or 500 days,

If you are a casual players you will end up doing this 300 times it will take you maybe 200 days, until you max out everything.

Random probability soul core slot

Random possibility 1 slot mantra
Random possibility 2 slot mantra
Random possibility 3 slot mantra

This is only weapons, no one force you to do 400 times the dungeons but the way it is like this you will never be able to have a perfect maxed items with 100 blessing for the next 300+ days

If you are a casual players with a life and job that does not allow you to play MMORPG intensely no problem they designed an auction house with gemms for this,
but this is MMORPG, MMORPG are 24/24 online & active and their boss respawn all day long,
if there is active players that keep this game alive (by being active in game) so be it, but the 100 blessing we consume it in less than 1h30 mins each day

You do realize that most players are "casuals" these days? Companies make the game for them, without these restrictions only a few people will play this game. Fewer players = less potential influence 🤷

Look what's happening in other games, companies pushing companion systems everywhere, soon MMORPG games will be all about playing with "NPCs", because it's too hard, because they have to play with other people, these are sick times dude...

My friend work a full time Job,
have 4 Kids & a wife, a house and even 3 DOG, & he a casual.

We play with him and even him think the 100 Blessing is too much restriction.
If you cannot use 100 blessing good for you but Ncsoft better collect the stats of 0/100 blessing players and if its a big majority of end game players that log in, they better remove this.

@sage sand MMORPG arn't meant to be played 30 minutes a day, you can do that with League of Legend, Call of duty, play a game or 2 then log out,
but in MMORPG you will never be able to keep up you gear by being casual as 30 mins a day. No matter how hard Dev make their MMORPG cash grabbing for casual players :

Auction house real money to buy gear,
Battle Pass with alot of thing in it,
100/100 Blessing to give illusion to players you are all equale in farming when RNG isnt the same for players, and you can bypass this 100/100 limite by buying item in auction house from real money.

The system as it is now is unfair for players that don't pay and have time to play,
but even for casual players that will never have good gear,
its only good for cash shoper & whale that buy gemms.

At least make this game less restricted by removing Blessing.

As a player that made his own post too(it's called "We never asked for any of these things.") and wrote past the limitations of the default post (further making our points as in "self-comments" format), you have my deepest empathy. We do not have enough space to write, how much and how many things are wrong with the game, especially the NEO version, which is a joke, and more importantly, the issue you're addressing, which is vastly valid among the community, aka Hongmoon Blessing topic. I give you the heart to bump you up in the charts.
(if you want, show yourself with a heart to my post too, so I can get bumped up too, but don't read, it's too long, I don't subject anyone to reading my leviathan-level novel. It's just for the... people in charge to read. We all know already what the issues are)

Just increase the god awful drop rates!!! Especially for the mini-bosses that burn our hongmoon energies just for crafting materials. Giving us a permanent 1 SS drop with rng stats would go such a long way in atleast making it a little worth while.

If they do not remove or rework this system the game is going to die as fast as Throne. Having energy cap is boring. People are going to stop playing. And while some might argue "but throne is not dead hur durr". Compare the number of players it had at launch to how many it has now and you'll see the numbers are SAD. At least in Throne you didn't have as much RNG as in this version of BNS. The energy cap was HIGHER and people still QUIT. Because it's boring when companies try to limit your playstyle.

Not to mention the god awful skill system. Having the skill system locked behind RNG is the weirdest approach I have ever seen in my life in any game. And why? Because they lack pocket money and want you to spend YOUR OWN pocket money so you can buy everything off the market - because that is the only reliable way for you to get anything. This is the most greedy monetization system I have seen in all of my years of life.

Oh look. We found Sherlock... You can say what you want but the curve on the player retention says a lot about a game -- especially when it's steep and the ones left are only the bots and the whales. If you enjoy the game as it is then good for you. But that doesn't mean others do. Many of us came back to this title out of nostalgia, but I doubt this game will run on nostalgia alone if the dev team is not listening to any player feedback. They had the recipe for a good game 12-13 years ago, why are they always altering the recipe. When they should already know what the playerbase wants.

What really matters is how many players the game continues to retain after the hype and nostalgia dies down. Throne and liberty is still pulling 50k daily. It's doing solid compared to other mmos. This game however since there is no way to check the exact statistics of the game and we don't have a concrete way of determining the amount of players the game currently has or how many it will continue to retain in the future. Hongmoon's blessing is here to stay at most they can increase the daily limit. So like I said before "they aren't removing it stay mad."

u dont need statistic for see how much player playing, u just need see how much ppl do cross server and server dg, old BNS when release every region have more than 4 server and almost all when u login need que more than 1 week, in NEO game server crowded like that only few day and server only 5

NEO F8 not many ppl do cross server u need very long time find random party in server DG sometime list empty in TOE, old BNS anytime u do F8 u always got party in cross server dungeon, when u wanna do server DG just shout in chat world ppl will join and help u, bcoz we never thinking about HM blessing that why many ppl will jump help other ppl run their dg

without old player nostalgia maybe this game will dead in day 3 many new player lost in this game bcoz skill build and other stuff

and the biggest problem in this game is HM blessing and source of gold, and marketplace use real cash

I think it should be increased a bit especially as we get more dailies/stuff to do, but don’t agree that it should be removed.

Hongmoon blessing keeps a healthy gaming experience, and it’s actually refreshing not having to grind all day or feeling like you have to. Also the whole economy, marketplace and loot rate is based around it, and removing it would just kill the game. We wouldn’t be able to sell anything anymore as everything would become worthless.

Yeah you might have bad rng and get the wrong drop but you can sell it and buy what you need instead. I actually really love how the marketplace was thought out, and it actually feels rewarding now to do content as everything you get is worth something.

At the end of the day is to each their own I suppose and if you don’t like it you can go grind on live instead, but I feel like Neo should remain its own thing and be different than what live is.

You say you can't max your gear, what would you like to do? 100 dungeons a day? the system exists to both deter that sort of grind and also add more value to dropped items for both F2P / P2P players

I will tell you with my own example, that for almost 3 weeks I have not seen a single card in dungeons on my 3 characters. Do you understand what the chance is there? About jewelry and weapons the same, it is not possible to get them with the necessary at least with average stats, especially when the content is moving forward so quickly, because of this many people will simply stop playing and the game will die again, like the live version

But you also have to understand about the cards, 3 weeks of farming with 3 characters and not seeing a single card is that normal? no, after that all desire to play disappears, because time is wasted. The more content we will get, the more the HB becomes a problems since you will barely have enough to do anything after doing your DAILIES, so you have the choice of doing dailies or grinding a specific dungeon for specific gear but not both ,so I agree it should be abolished ASAP!
Also the HB does not deter bots from farming since they can just make more so don't use that as an argument for the HB system, it's stupid

You don't understand, this game is not designed for 100 blessing.

The amount of randomization you have on each part, each items, each craft, each transmutation.

And in the other hand Whale can bypass all these restriction buy buying the perfect item for huge irl money.

What we want is like Blade & Soul when it was released, no limit.

We are rushing patched look at this one we didnt even finished yet there is another patch coming.

Alot of players didnt drop their card yet and they will have to do old dungs.

I'm siding with this system, although i would like to be aware to decide if i want or don't want to spend HM energy on drop.

Reasons:
A. Dungeon runs usually takes at least ~5-7 minutes in ingame timer if case of perfect or low level runs. Toss in loading time, loot distribution time and inventory management - you'll get at least 10 minutes for one run back to back. 100 energy let you do 9 runs in a row which is already 1 hour and a half.

And that is without dailies runs, without having to assemble your own party and etc etc.

And that's just for one character.

You may have 3 of them - that's five hours of unhindered gameplay at least. If you think that that's not enough then i have a question what the hell are you doing in your life.

B. Quantity and rarity control. If you have played live, try to remember how was the stones cost during it peak days? Prices constantly falling down and down again, raising gain only when some whales deciding to redo their gear or someone trying to resell them again making losing their profit in the way. Because back in live all the things that people can change was the cost and quantity. Well, you can see that too in NEO where essence prices (especially deva) are constantly hitting new lows.

In this case NEO has two horses: RNG stats - which decides how good your item is, and limited runs - so people can't substitute unlucky stats with number of runs. And right now, even if you can get infernal weapon for 50 gems, good one will cost 300 or even more. Because you can't get Infernal weapon with soul core, 3 mantras and double crit stats from each run due to both runs and rng luck are limited.

C. Fair monetisation. 100 Energy is 1.5 hours of gameplay. 550 energy (max per day) is 8.2 hours of gameplay which is basically can be called your second job in the game which won't exactly end up in something good.

I am a full time employee and have enough to do with my life beyond BNS but that is beside the point. The point is, this energy system is a cope up mechanism to please the Chinese market. Which limits the hours an individual spends on a game. And that in itself, is abusive. Who are you or NCSoft for that matter to dictate people how much time they should be spending in a game. What if I do not have time to play during the week and only have time to play during the weekend. And I want to use my free weekend hours to spend on the game for as long as I wish to? Making new characters? Why? Why should I be making more characters in order to be able to play more if I so wish to? I can not even save that energy i haven't spent during the week for not being able to play. Why should i be limited to play only a few hours in a week. Cause i can only play at weekend?

Except that they can have the quality drops we have now WITHOUT the HB, I will say this again and again the reason for a lot of choices for the new systems is because of MONEY. They make it just frustrating enough to make you WANT to swipe for every little thing and the HB is no exception. The HB is fine in this patch but once we get more content the more of burden it becomes. Giving the players the CHOICE how much they want to play is the most basic thing every game gives to the player that's it's ridiculous that NCSOFT think they're above this norm, there's literally no good explanation for this system other than MONEY (which makes sense since it's NCSOFT)

This hm blessing for controling market so mats still have price and ppl will always buy devine gems for gold and mats, when u need more hm blessing u need buy from them

And as many others have pointed out, this system is frustrating. And if the end goal is to make people SWIPE so they can get the gear that they want because there is not enough time to play, then newsflash. For me a WORKING, money earning player. It just makes me despise them and their system even more. Because it is ABUSIVE to its core. You can not trade with your friends when you have better pieces for them, you can not send email. You can not save energy up if you can not play certain days. Overall it's just a money grab.

Their theory of what gets people swiping is just insane optimism, they've never played their own game and felt how frustrating it is to not be able to farm anything because of this HB system, they're living in dreamland where everyone swipes but in reality people are more frustrated and LESS likely to even PLAY the game. They need to create systems that people enjoy so you get more people playing and MORE likely to swipe and right now they're doing the opposite.

Why you guys don't play something like g*shin where there's no bots, you always will have decent loot and can do the dungeon run with teammates whetever you want?

BTW about the gold - it's not "You have to buy gold" it's just game came here with moonwater patch with cut off moonwater. Here's an image of ToE during 36 patch days in KR, you can easily spot the difference. After introducing 45 content they cut old content drop short, but didn't revert it back for NEO here.

Bro. Genshin players are playing Genshin because they have already spent their life fortune on pulling their favorite waifu out of Hoyo's back side and BNS Neo is just a poor attempt at copying that game style, without having any of the gacha elements that actually keep people playing Genshin in the first place: AKA Waifus. They do have the enormous pay to win element to it though. So I guess. A pat on their back for that. But at this point the way they have designed it. It doesn't make the average Joe even want to spend any kind of money on this system. Because it is not enjoyable. At least Genshin is giving free Primogems to people once in a while. All NCSoft does is milk whales and the whales are happy for being milked. Wow, Amazing system.

Most complain coming from 3 facts:

  1. It's not a brand new game but rerun so people has old memories of old game and complaing that they don't have OG stuff. Even FF14 back there was on fire when devs decided to redo the game. But still it's most popular MMO rn EVEN if it's a remaster on another game.

  2. Poor explanation of the game systems. Let's say the market which everyone is hating. Game is clearly playable without even relying on the market and there's literally no content that you can't achieve without buying stuff from there. 3 slots, 2 craft guilds for each, 6 guilds total in game - everything is covered. Market is just an "extra income" where you exchange money with each other. The only way how money gets directly extracted from the market is only when you're buying battlepass or cash outfits.

  3. Ability to state your point. It's simple when you shopping - or you buy it, or you don't. Nor you, nor me, nor anyone else can't find stats about product selling just by looking on it package. Or even inside it. You can just decide you like it or you don't like it. If you like it but don't bying it - well it's your choice, if you don't like it but you're buying it - what's wrong with you? You surely can propose some creative ideas how to do this or that but you're in no position to state "i don't like orange juice so nobody sane would buy it"

The only reason why FF14 is still popular now is because they started listening to their player's feedback AKA the complainers. So I advise all others to keep complaining until either the game gets shutdown or something gets done about it. Because with an abusive system like this, there's no way SANE people are going to tolerate it for a very long time. What works in the eastern market won't fly for the majority of people in the west.

I've gotten 2 alts to 330ap and my main to 350+ using the system. What are you on about? These are realistic and should be expected to achieve. Especially on a single character. IT's IMPOSSIBLE TO GEAR! REMOVE THE SYSTEM! Just a bunch of yapping.

Yes I played during the release but then left the game for a while came back and got to around 1000+ ap as a f2p player. The old system was tiring and I would have to grind for months to even reach the players that were p2w. It was a fun game however the optimization and ping made it unbearable for the time I was playing.

Cuz imo the state of bns during its first release over here was way better than now. Way less rng, grindy but it doesn't mean that u can't get gear just by playing for a few hours/the market was better than current state /the skills systems way better and meaningful did a good job at helping new players to finalize their build/ meanwhile the new system might seems good at the begining the amount of rng on top of rng is disgustingly disgusting in the long term. I don't mind the hongmoons blessing if it was way less rng based but current system is like would u rather grind everyday or do all at once cuz at the end it create fomo and you will end up doing even more grind than you ever did back then. And u know what happens when players get fomo they get the urge to spend more so they can get their stuff done. But the truth is it's never done with the current amount of rng unless you spend a crazy amount of money. I played both even played on the Japanese server before release in na/eu and I prefer the old system way more. But there are a few good things about the new one that we could've used in the old one for sure.

I perfer the old systen for the skills I won't argue that. The reason this game didn't get as much traction is because it's a remaster of an existing game and on top of that NCSOFT did a poor job marketing the game. So it's an unfair comparison. Now I perfer the new system (hongmoon's blessing) because it's less grindy and I can get my gear quicker. Back then I had to run 100+ dungeon runs or MORE to even see the piece of gear I needed. But you also needed to bid GOLD and WIN that bid in order to get your gear. Now pieces of gear are class locked and it's complete rng which is a much more of even playing field than having to bid against the guy who bought 2000000 gold off the market. I MUCH rather spend 10 bucks on a battle pass than have people running around spending thousands. It's unrealistic. Both systems have their pros and cons but this system is much better.

The thing about gear I'm talking about before silverfrost and it didn't required that many runs to get your gear at all in fact it was quite easy since there was 24 man dngs too I understand if you are referring to the system where u need to run hundreds of runs to get 1 piece of accessory ye I hate that too. But the OG system from Poharan time was way more casual friendly. And even if you hate grinding again you will eventually do way more runs with this kind of fomo/ rng system so for me I prefer the pre silverfrost system above all els. And tbh the current battle pass is so p2w its disgusting xd the amount of gold u getting from there 💀 but ye I agree that both has its pros and cons and I just prefer the old one way more since every single dng in the game was meaningful for your progression so you could actually make money from every single dngs you been thru. And I didn't spent a dime or had the urge to do so back in the days left alone 10 bucks. Not to mention that they took 1v1 and 3v3 equalized gear from us but still leave behind the 6v6 for the whales. That's another thing that I hate about NEO.

NEO Pro:

  • you might not feel like you need to grind as much as before, but if you want to min/max you need to... or cash
  • infinite running

NEO Cons:

  • you can not play for as long as you want - when you want - since you can not save up energy points to use however you want
  • you can not test your skills before farming or buying them - and this is extremely confusing especially for new players
  • you can not help your friends grow other than carrying them through dungeons - kinda weird to me since the game is called Multiplayer... it should have a sense of community but it doesn't really

Now. While I understand the old version of bns was tiring from the grind point of view. This version of bns is frustrating from multiple points of view.

I have played BNS during the old release as well and I can say that from multiple aspects, the old version was much more enjoyable than this one at release. You had more freedom to do what you want. You could spec your skills however you wanted. Anytime, anyhow, anywhere. We had 1v1 and 3v3 arena. If you weren't into PVE you could just do arena day and night. Here it's just... pray you get what you need and then log off. This game is turning a lot of people religious right now.

But in this game, you can not just get one piece of gear and call it a day. You need to get the right skills, the right stats, the right amount of skill slots. And you can not just get whatever and call it a day because people will start gatekeeping. First on AP and then on having the right stats, and then on having the right skills. Because that's what happens. And you'll end up realising that suddenly, having only 100 points to get your gear is not going to be enough. For anything, anywhere and anyone.

If you haven't spent too much time on old BNS or other mmos in general, you might not realise how much gatekeeping can be done in this version of the game right now.

@sleek night I was overgeared for like 2 weeks straight on my main character and during that time I was just minmaxing. You don't need that much gear to play all of the content avaliable. It's unrealistic to want to pull highest dps. Focus on yourself and your own improvement. I'm gonna do other stuff now gl randies.

1v1 we will see about that they had big problem with bots and wind trading back then so thats why this time around they make it like this. As for the gold and battle pass yes it is doable without paying for sure but it feels very bad to get thru the first 20 ish hours if you don't pay up which is a turn off for new players. And I don't mind paying for the battle pass but they could've made a better quest reward system so players doesn't lack gold to begin with.

Live server when in patch 45 my free time running dg over and over for fix stat in soul shield, for gear hard u got bcoz we use HM line, now in neo many ppl have AP 350 but stat 👎, in live u have many way for fix ur gear

In Neo u farm insignia, farm badge, farm stat acc n weapon slot core, farm slot stone in acc n weapon, farm mats for upgrade, farm soul badge, farm core, farm book, farm card
Try divide all of them using 100hm blessing

Gear now dont have line like HM weapon, gear now u got wrong stat gear and u upgrade it ur stat will bad, and later u throw ur weapon n find new weapon with better stat and u evolve again to max from start

Having more dps and numbers boosts people egos too much. Focus on yourself and you're not getting left behind either if you can still do the content and enjoy it. the only real way to fix that is to make multiple chars of the same class like S said. but that... in my opinion, shouldn't be required. you should be able to play only one character and farm everything that you need on only 1 character without being time gated.

it might be easy for now since there are not that many stats that you need to focus on, but it will get harder and worse later on.

and it will be close to impossible to keep up imo if you want to do everything right, with just 100 points. but then if you make alts and end up using 300...500 points on multiple chars... that's still grinding. and at that point. why have the limitation in the first place. it doesn't make sense to me

when raids are gonna be released, if they release raids again. people will look at what gear you have 100%. and if you get gatekept there's no way you can enjoy playing the game. so... people will end up quitting anyway.

Not to mention, the HB system hurts new players the most in the future. New players might enjoy the game but quit because they're essentially getting time gated every time they try to progress and catch up to the latest dungeon. Also, the insane material costs of everything such as crafting means that you have to farm for broken crystals (world bosses like deva are the best foe this) so with your limited amount of HB you have either have to farm dungeons or farm materials but can't do both

I think as a baseline, the blessing is rather nice atleast for now yoh actually get worthwhile drops while u have blessing amd in live you didn't get much. The problem is everything costs way too dang much for the people that want to go hard core on this game and nothing carries over for the people who can't farm all day so they're inherently left behind.

As a game developer, you really don't want to put anything in your game that forces the player not to play your game unless you also want to encourage then to swipe (which as a Korean game makes sense)

My solution would be:

  • Retroactively make content that's old not cost blessing so you don't have to feel bad about going back to old content to get something.

  • Reduce the requirement to run dungeons by at least half so a person can choose to do more with their current blessing.

  • Have at min 3 day carry over where you can store up to say 400 blessing max for players who don't have the time or drive to burn all their blessing every single day.

This might not fix every issue but it would definitely be a much better system.

If the loot was increased exponentially to justify how players feel about limited runs then it’ll solve all the mentioned issues. Or ways to lower the rng of stats on gear.

Nobody actually enjoys grinding 100s of runs - the core reason is still for gear and loot.

That being said if the HM blessing is such a turn-off, playing Live would suit a player’s palette better then. It’s unlikely they will remove this system on NEO, they can monetise off it using blessing potions.

My sentiments are similar, but clearly it is not sufficient enough as there are complaints. I do agree the amount of RNG stats makes it tedious for min-maxing. A compromise of more loot per run would still be a good way to please the majority.

I totally agree with this, if they get the drop rate of gears a little easy then it fine, but sometime you didn’t even get the ss for all 3-4 runs, the drop rate is shjt, i know that you can have some item to refill your blessing but it come from battle pass. And i feel like they are too greedy for this kind of thing, making me feel like they trying to milk the money out of us as much as they can, and not have any respect of the player, forcing everyone to buy battle pass and forget the good old meaning of enjoyment when playing MMORPG

I want the HB system removed, but I think if we want it removed we also need to brainstorm how NCSoft can make money both to pay for the change and to replace the revenue made from offering HB point potions in the battlepass. We all know they're greedy, but something mutually beneficial is more likely to get changes made. Player Morale hasn't been enough yet to make them change their minds.

I think switching from "HM Points or no loot" to "HM points give better loot, but you still get loot when you are out" is enough of a change in the right direction and would still incentivise players to drop $$ on battle pass for points. It's not 100% what we're asking for, but at least a compromise in the right direction.

Let's be real, yes the HM blessing system could work but the way it is now is horrible. Giving players fomo for no good reasons lead to burnout pretty damn fast. and the lowers dngs either need to have lower cost of blessing or loot change so that you can't spam it for unlimited loot even tho we would love to have that. But tbf cards and outfit should be the standard drop that you can obtain even without hm blessings. The drop rate of these are already low enough.

Cards and cosmetics should not be locked behind Hongmoon Blessing. How is this even going to be sustainable going into Silverfrost with the amount of total dungeons there is. You cant go farm old dungeons for cards or even farm for an outfit without sacrificing actual progress from current endgame.

Gear I understand... Cards... debatable... But cosmetics makes no sense.

I prefer the old system overall, just because of the fact that, as mentioned prior, it wasn't as FOMO as this is. Yes, people had to grind to stay up to date with content, but they could grind on their own time. Now it just feels though NCSoft is laughing in your face if you had a hard day at work and you're too tired to grind said day, so boom, 100 HB you miss and you're never gonna get it back.

In Live servers (unsure if this is still a thing considering I haven't played since about 2018 or so) I remember that you were able to get the specific item you needed even if you were unlucky, as once you got the 100 run achievement, you were able to exchange materials gotten from the dungeon to gain the item you wanted as a drop. Not ideal, but it at least didn't give no outs.

Also, I don't think the Alt argument should be used for the "pro HB" reasonings, mainly because not everyone wants to funnel that way. That kinda just adds to the FOMO argument. Plus, considering each character is basically treated as their own separate entities with their own wardrobe, battle pass, etc. (dumb AF imo), using HB to funnel overall does more harm than good to said characters.

Honestly, I dont even understand people that use the excuse about how "b-but in live you could go hundreds of dungeon before getting ur accessory!!! in Neo with blessing at least you see more drops" ... Does it matter if the drop sucks?

You most likely have to run hundreds of dungeons ( so half a month to a full month of running only the same dungeon) before finding a Crit/Crit dmg 3 skill slot accessory.

I'd rather be able to grind at my own pace, without fomoing about running the full 100 blessing everyday, and getting a FIXED STAT accessory after 150-200 runs if I pity it, than running 150-200 runs over a whole month or longer without ever finding a BIS accessory, or having to buy it with divine gems on market anyway.

tl;dr: why does it matter if blessing means higher droprate? 1x guaranteed fixed stats accessory > 15 bad stats/skill slots accessories. Let us run content at our own pace.

This system is not trash, this system makes sure that you have a low drop rate so that each item made of pixels dropped by an ant among all the little ants of players has such an enormous value that it is put on the auction house so that a whale buys it with NC Count which are very real.

Definitely a rework is needed since removal is unlikely. Blessings should recharge as time passes or gets replenished from doing certain tasks.

Someone else pointed out this exact thing to you in another thread. They said that this is practically RMT and you refused to acknowledge it while acting stupid. You then tried to get a mod to ban them. It makes you look foolish to claim one thing, and then say another a few hours later. It's very hypocritical.

If I can spend real money on NCoins and then spend NCoins on the gems, then further spend those gems on in-game items, it's literally just a p2w mechanic and it should be tossed anyway. The only reason I don't really care is because I can place things on the auction house and get gems myself without spending a dime. It's basically the Warframe platinum system, which is absolutely RMT-by-proxy, but it's totally fair because everyone can get the in-game special currency by simply trading their goods.

Honestly i wouldn't much mind the blessing if the drops actually felt more useful. the entire reason the blessing is being defended is because you dont have to run dungeons a ton of times to see anything good. but thats counteracted by making every drop rng upon rng so its not even like live where you see the drop and your done, sometimes youll have to run 300 times to get the same level of drop anyways so whats the difference. that and i think content takes way too much and theres literally no reason to run anything, you cant even bid on drops if you dont have blessing which at first i thought you just wouldnt get personal loot.

if they insist on keeping it they should let blessing carry over for a few days, make dungeons cost less to run and make old dungeons cost nothing and make drops a bit better

honestly im of the opinion that if someone has the time to farm for 20 hours a day and gets way ahead let them. the only issue is when you make the stuff you get for 20 hours a day farming the min to participate in content (which tbf most of the time its gatekeeping like why are people asking for 650 for blue dungeons lmao.) But being limited on the content you can do just makes swiping much more benifitial tbh since youre actually gated on how many things you can run but you can swipe thousands of dollars to get gear you physically cant farm because youre out of blessing

Bare minimum blessing should be able to carry over a few days so players who cant play every day can make it up on less busy days

Unfortunately its the system that we have i think they need to make farming divine not such a hassle for f2p players they need to greatly reduce the amount it costs to swap channels so people can properly essence farm in the new moonwater region. I was able to essence farm during lv 36 patch so i got kinda ahead in terms of making divine but there are some more people that are even more ahead of me in that aspect but ive bought the BP on my alt and was able to buy the current BP for free because of my grinding during that patch

Probably add an outfit to the BP as well because $20 for no outfit is robbery i could go boot up marvel rivals and get 7 skins from the battlepass for $10 LOL

You are trapped in this game where you are farming somthing that was already acquired in the core game, the basic of any game and thing that is granted is the skills.

In BNS neo Spell/skills are not granted and you must farm without your main Spell to gear yourself.

Worst, you have to cash shop sometimes 200€+ for a blue spellbook.

And when you drop one spellbool blue box, the inside reward is RNG.

Welcome to hell, where you are forced to spent 100 blessing in RNG that will make you end up cashing Real money for sometimes that is granted in 99.99% of MMORPG, your spell.

You got all your skills/spells unlocked by the time you finish the story. There's no "locked skills" because all your buttons are filled. Moreover by using green books you unlock 2 various play style while the 3rd and etc are locked behind blue book. Why? Cause you have to learn how to play before you aquire them from dungeon loot or crafting. Yeah, you can grab it by cash cause some players spent their time to sell this book means you can literally do the same.

100 energy requred to face inflation, and you already can feel that - siren set just for AP are 50 per piece, siren weapon with soul core - 180. But good stat one is way too expensive.

We can only do 8 dungeon runs a day (tomb ate 12 HMB dunno about lvl50 content)
You can’t stack HMB so casuals lose every day they don’t play
Non casuals can only play an hour, maybe 2
You can only max yourself by paying hundreds of € every month
Now compare this to Live where u can max urself for free (except gems and bottom 4 but u can get close enough and u don’t lose much dps anyways) with 2-3 hours of daily playtime (or a lot on the weekends instead if u r a casual who only plays on weekends)

First you see in live is billion things which you can get only with real money, for example 210 hongmoon points? How the fuc* long it take to get it without real money? Gems? Hongmoon levels? Etc.
Sad story is that neo is on way be almost same thanks to p2w world boss drops and so crazy rng on everything. Rly sad story to be able get best weapon only with 1300 usd and not have way to obtain it by playing.

You can spend ur HMB within 1-2 hours, then u can’t really farm anything. PvP is nice I guess as an extra, but if u r a casual the chances are that u r not online during bg times.
In live HMC is farmable, also can be bought with gold from the currency exchange. And no, there’s nothing that can only be bought with cash on Live (unless there is something untradeable for NC only that I am not aware of)

People say live is more p2w, but it really isn’t. You just haven’t played enough to know how to farm HMC and how the systems work.
Is Live p2w? Absolutely.
Is Live possible to min-max? You will only lose a bit of DPS compared to max gear
Is Neo p2w? Absolutely.
Is Neo possible to min-max? You will get nowhere near max dps

In neo you need only +/- 500 blue to get 610+ AP which could be enough, but still you will not be able to consume energy in 2h if you don't have stable party with all around 700ap. Here it is great to have HB because these Whales will not run too far from others. So yes I am glad for this brake which don't let them be too overgeared from others. In live you can get almost everything by farm, but when you need like 1000 hours of game time only for weapon gems and other things?...it is just not real.
Also you can run dungs in neo even without HB but without loot.

For example in wow you need around 4 months to get max season gear and update with new gear come around each 6 months, so you are able to catch everyone even as new player and have taste of best gear.

If they do something similar this game will be success and we don't need any HB. But in state we have right now, when you get new gear faster then you can get your max... just let HB be, like it is.

I agree 12 points for a dungeon run is a little too much and that should be lowered to at least 6 or 5 with the current drop rates which shouldn't affect anything too much.
Also the stats on items should be allowed to be rerolled and that way you don't need to farm the same item drop again and again hoping for better stats.
BUT...
When it comes to RNG, people need to understand how drop rates are defined. Your own experiences with drops does not matter when designing drop rates, developers look at the entire server as a whole.
How many dungeon runs is being done every single day on this entire server?
How rare do we want this item to be?
What's the expected population of the server?
And so on.
It's all about the averages and the issue with this average is that one end of people get nothing and the other end gets drops all the time as per law of probabilities.

So if you can do a dungeon run infinite amount of times, you run to a problem where a small amount of people literally get nothing no matter how much they farm because the drop rates are too low. With current system drop rates can be bit higher but then there are other issues like what some of you people mentioned like only being able to play on weekends.

As an example dungeon, Poharan and blue book drops. Lets say they have 2% chance to drop. There's probably close to a thousand runs being done every day by the entire server so 2% drop rate would give us about 20 books every single day on average, some days less some days more. That amount of books is then randomly distributed amongst all the players who do the runs, some getting more than others. If you remove the HMB completely, you must lower the 2% drop rate to keep it on that 20 book drops on average so that the market will not oversaturate with the additional farming that can now be done. Still the main issue is that the drops are randomly distributed meaning some of you will never see good drops no matter what.

Don’t remove hongmoon blessing. Just let it stack to a certain limit so people can burn it all at once when they log in. I.e can’t do daily log in, roll the blessing over up to, like, 500 max with a daily 100 refresh if you’re a daily login player. That way if you do your dailies you have 40 left over you have it to spend the next day or over the weekend.

exactly, my man ! that's my whole point. hmb has to be "adjusted" and not removed!
been trying to say that, but it goes by the deaf ears ( or rather blind eyes ).
lowering the rates is equal to endless grind, and that is a big NOPE.
Due to no limitation, rates are ought be lowered 100%.
the loot rate isn't the best rn, but it's much much better than without blessing.

Well now try think about it, if they remove hmb you will run over and over same dung that mean more loot, that mean more items on market, that mean lower share for ncsoft because items will be cheaper. Same thing is with skill books and that is exactly reason why they most probably never change hmb and books. Also if they remove it, Battle pass potion lost any value so BP will be even more trash then is now.

So you get 1 blue book per week as minimal wage for your gameplay if you just constantly hit 1 book per dungeon run whatever it is. That's around 4-5 books per month and if we iclude ability to sell and buy them - you can get full blue equip in 4 month playing almost solo. For mmo game to get half of progression done just in several month - it's rarher lucky.

This is the** exact reason** they won't remove HMB though - you even said so yourself. There's no point in this suggestion when you already know why they have HMB in the first place and why they won't remove it

This game is a business, and they don't keep the lights on by developing a game for unemployed kids with all the time in the world to grind up. They are catering to the typical office workers with 8AM - 6PM job where they can reliably invest into the game.

Do I like this truth that **BOTH you and I ALREADY KNOW? No.
Do I think HMB is perfect? No. (In fact, on a spectrum of "bad to good", it's closer to the "bad" side right now)
Should we remove HMB? No.
What's the middle ground catering to the standard office workers with reliable income and unemployed kids that can grind all day? ** I don't know

What do I personally think is the problem? Players should have a little more control to bridge the gap between HMB and the RNG system (both you and I should already know RNG is there to prevent unemployed kids grinding all day). More specifically, HMB is spent regardless of the drop quality. It's absolutely **infuriating **that I spend 12 energy on an epic dungeon (after I'm already drained almost half from dailies) to get NOTHING most of the time. There should be **some **control or adjustments of HMB spent relative to the drop quality.

I spent my entire dinner here painfully reading through a load of absolute non-sense by kids living in their own selfish fantasy, **but ** @fallow mango @jaunty hawk @hollow maple did offer some REAL solutions to the current problems (I don't 100% agree with all 3 of you, but you guys are definitely the more rational and reasonable ones out of the bunch 👍)

thanks 🙂 but i do think what i said is 100% something they should do and just add rest bonus like lost ark so people don't feel forced to login everyday to spend their hm blessing/for people that don't have a lot of free time. Only real reason they prob wouldn't add rest bonus is because of daily login numbers but I really do hope they implement it. There's so many small stuff they can change to have a huge impact on the overall quality of the game

Can you pinpoint their ideas? Or them themselves.

In my case i'd love to make this changes:

  • HM energy cap is determined by character current level. Level 36 = 36 HM energy, Level 45 = 45 HM energy and etc
  • Named monsters spend energy depending on their HP, from 1 to 5.
  • Weak monsters drop 1** crafting powder** alongside crafting materials
  • Manual "preserve" function - you can pack your leftovers from everyday hm energy to use on other day, but: A. you have to select this option manually. B. your remaining today energy set to 0 (excluding bonus from drinking) C. If you packed energy - unpacking is not available till daily reset so you can't get that energy back on same day and D. saving energy overwrites already saved energy.
  • Make and list guaranteed drop section in each dungeon with 100% drop + 100% chance to drop. I mean, let's take for example Poharan dungeon - drop from each clear better be: A. Moonwater key and green book (100% drop) B. greenbook, mantra stone or enchantment stone (100% chance to get one of those) C. 2+ pools of some additional rewards with chance of dropping. And everything should be listed in dungeon description under "guaranteed drop/chance drop"
    -** List probabilities **for each boss in dungeon description.

I'm good with current RNG system as it is cause in similar games with auction available main issue ends up in "who dares to set it cheaper". Same item, same quantity, same stats but just someone decided to outbid the cost by setting it up 1 copper cheaper. Check the enchantments stones or mantras - you'll get what I'm trying to say. On the other hand i'd like to see critical calculations nerfed - it should be applied after accuracy and piercing so both those stats will finally play a role.

Make same class alts . Run with all of them . Gear your alts with the lower tier acces . I have 3 chars all over 700 . So I use 300 HM every day since books are mailable and also gear if you don’t equip it . Or you can just seal them

It's outrageous to play with such a pay-to-win system.
As a free-to-play player, I reached 888 AP. I was very lucky and made some good deals, but it's unmanageable: I don't have enough Critical Damage to do Bloodshade Harbor Command Center, and I have 888 AP!
Just think how pay-to-win you need to be to reach certain levels...
The game needs to change.
If they’re not willing to change, my advice is: don’t even start playing. It’s too oppressive to play like this.

And let's not even talk about PvP: an FM has no way to play well without specific skills, and it costs a fortune to replace them.
I decided to invest only in PvE, but it’s really difficult.

remember what happened to blue & purple book, that's very cheap now compared 1 month ago. The price cut down over than half price. Removes hongmoon's blessing will reduce divine gem market, and NC will not happy with this. The whale will spend less than last time. F2P always leave 1 patch behind.
