you change the charge for Zoi to pay on entrance or per hour for clubs. plus you can sell sell to make money (e.g. drinks) youll need the kiosk thing they order from and a small market stand to put the stuff (e.g. drinks) in that you want to sell (as your business gets stars youll get a small bit of money per star, one point you also unlock a bigger market stand)

id recommend doing a new save and take up the free cafe option, that ones like a tutorial. it gives you tasks that teaches you how to run businesses

In addition to this, I also had an issue where I logged into my game with the same household and my two married young adult Zois (one being actively pregnant) had literally aged down to children in adult bodies so I just had to give up on the save atp and start over on it completely smh 😩 I hope whatever bug this is can be resolved!

Thanks...it's good that they have that option, though I wish it was a standard option in the game rather than a cheat.

The Sims felt basically like a bodily function simulator, which I have no interest in...constantly having to worry about mundane things like eating or going to the bathroom...which is fine I guess if you're really interested in ultra-realism, but I don't really see why people consider that fun.

I went on a date with someone, couldn't find the bathroom, and ended up pissing myself in the restaurant. And then she still wanted to get engaged at the end of the date. Basically a joke, which is why I quit immediately.

Yeah, I have that same issue with some other games, only way to fix it is by force closing Steam through task manager as far as I'm aware

yeah that's deffo a bug. you normally clear that task once you get a single star (after a day or two max). but the tutorial is pointless anyway. it's meant to teach you the ropes but you are not missing out on any rewards. just let the time tick down and run your business as you like.
don't know what this "with a single sign" nonsense is about anyway. poor translation maybe? you don't need a sign of any sort. at least I didn't, and I started lots of businesses... because I kind of love it, despite the hoops and bumps lol

I think this is because in Korean culture you have people you use formal language with which are basically your acquaintances that you keep a polite distance with, and then there's people you have informal language with and these are your good friends of the same age. I think that's why we have these 'business' relationship bars with every Zoi, but I guess it seems a little silly since they use business terms like colleague and business partner for the relationship levels lol.

most jobs are so-called rabbit holes, i.e. you just show up and let time pass, but you can't actively do anything. you should get promoted every couple of days. other jobs are active jobs and you need to do certain tasks (they'll pop up at the top left corner)
developer is a rabbit hole job. so you just choose "go" when the event popup shows, and then smash skip if you don't have any other active zois you want to play in the meantime. you'll pick up when your zoi comes back from work.
the only active jobs I've tried are the theme park in Bliss Bay and the Adams Entertainment in Dowon. in Cahaya I don't believe there are any active jobs at all; only rabbit holes

no I think the only condition for rabbit holes is to show up regularly 🤣 not sure if there are any plans to improve those careers. I would hope so, though. right now they are basically all the same, so there's no good reason to choose anything but lawyer (it's the best paid option of all those rabbit holes)

Rabbit role jobs also do have random events where you need to take a quick decision which can cause good or bad result, but it doesn't happen too often

And idk if the results do any at the moment, maybe except increasing your work performance

If you play with mods you have to make sure to re-enable them in settings (for curseforge mods) as for manual mods you have to find the (I forget if it’s manifest or mod manifest) manifest.json file and switch bEnable to true

There is also the case the mods are broken which you’d have to wait until the mod makers update them

Im having an issue where i cant plan dates or use the "ask on a date" option 🙁 itll go through the process of planning the date but then it doesnt show up on her schedule and for some reason she goes home immediately after this happens. If i do the "ask on a date" option it says "you're now going on a date" etc, but then theres zero follow up or she goes straight home.
Then I tried swapping to an NPC zoi in another family and had him invite her on a date, she said yes, the date showed up on his schedule, but not on hers. I stayed on his profile and went to the date and shes just not showing up to the date.
I've been dealing with this issue for like 3 irl days now and was just wondering if anybody has ran into this as well (sorry for the novel lel 🙁 )

It's a lot easier to stock the entire shop like this though, so might be worth the slight decrease in value

I like creating a variety of items to sell but at the start of the day it's nice if you can fully stock up quickly so that the customers have stuff to buy while you bake other stuff

I suggest changing this to have an easier time. While in Top View it changes WASD & Left Stick to Camera movement.
Over the Shoulder View remains the same with Character movement so you get the best of both worlds.

I found a solution to my half panelling hlaf wallpaper or wainscoting. So I thought in case someone wants it ill write it... If you have the colourful numbered texture that some people use for making clothing, Select the wall adn apply the pattern and size it to the max. then edit the texture you want so it lines up with the pattern on the wall. If theres a blank space or squares just double check you have the right numbers . I hope this makes some sense Unfortunatly you will have to make it again for every wall so if someone knows a better way lmk. heres my wall result

The ghost may be there due to being close to an employee. If they were a family member, roommate, etc, they'll fade into the great ether of the InZoi Afterlife after a few days if left alone.

Ghosts fade away quickly normally but that one may stick around longer since they're in a business, thus more chances for interactions which keep ghosts around more

If you own a Business, under Manage Employees, you would have to disable the uniform for yourself. But, I understand that the random outfit transitions when you don't need the uniform are pretty annoying.

I think there’s still a possibility of them being culled, but it may be time based? Like if you don’t interact with them for (what the game considers) a while, they’ll be culled. I’ve had NPZs that were BFFs with my Zoi get randomly culled, but I wasn’t engaging or texting them back

In my experience, yes interacting with them via text or scheduling hangouts does help with preventing them from getting culled—I haven’t had any romantic partners or family get culled, just BFFs

Probably running a business and employing them helps prevent culling as well—but I’m not entirely sure. I only have 1 file where I have a NPZ as an employee and they’ve been in the save since day 1 of high school. Had to stop playing that file because of the update

In case people aren't aware yet: the bug where your sale items dissappear when you put them on display is caused by a mod. They have identified the issue and are working on a fix. I'm not at my pc right now so I can't say for sure if it's with potted plants or trees, but it just looks like a pine tree in a square pot. Once you place it in the game you get the option to decorate it. You also used to be able to easily find it by typing holiday tree in the build mode search bar.

So, I have two Zois who already lived together. They decided that they wanted to get married and I let them. However, I didn't know they would have to move houses, first. Confused, I moved them back to the house they lived in previously, knowing that I was going to move them back to the new house. When I got there, the house was gone and the original house from the game was in its spot. When I clicked on them, they were married. There was no ceremony, nothing. I eventually moved them back to the new house. But, I had to download the house, again. Thinking back, the game did say, I would lose the house and its furniture if I let them get married. No the employees are kinda 'broken' right now and dont work. You have to butter them up with praise and compliments to get them to do anything.

Did you give the tasks to do? I have fill coffee, fill baking and throw away as tasks for my employee and I even pay the lowest wage possible yet she still works 😅. I do make sure to praise her once in a while and she's really good friends with my zoi (maybe that helps?)

Is it just me, or are business door permissions not working? I set doors to Operator-only or Business Employee-only, but random NPCs can still enter the room. Because of this, employees stop working or get interrupted when NPCs walk into staff-only areas. I double-checked the door settings, and it still happens during business hours. I answered this in General but again.. you have to pay attention to which way the doors are facing.
When you place a door you will see an arrow. Make sure that arror is pointing OUT into the public area.

Will do. I think it's just interesting that there are so many customization options for the city's appearance but I can't simply just like, select a lot and place something there without attaching a family. I'd like my business lots to be full from things from Canvas to add to my environment.

I suppose the game itself works by attaching itself to things like families and Zois so it makes sense the current approach. So the workaround would be to just choose random families to move in, and then have them own the specific businesses that I want in my city. Which I do like for customization and depth (say, having a family that owns a business empire) but having it a bit hands-off would be nice too.

I'm thinking about it... I don't generally use cheats in game... but my Zoi family is a newly married couple with like M31000... and ideally I'd like to upload a completely finished (furnished, accents, everything) version to Canvas. So I think I will be using the money cheat for the first time 🤣🙈 I built the entire shell and layout tonight. Need to add a roof... but I'll definitely share some pics tomorrow of the progress! (9:30pm here) I'm actually going to check if I can edit the buildings around it tomorrow so they all look a little similar... but it's really so amazing... it's like a few steps down from the back deck and you're on the beach! 5 bedrooms, a study, and 6.5 bathrooms... pantry/scullery... walk in closets (not that we use them, but hey, why not)... I've researched specific colors and textures I want to use in the design too... soo eeeeep! Might take a month, or 3 🤣 I've already run into a silly hurdle... can we make pillars double story or put two on top of each other?

Nothing wrong with a little money cheat here and there lol, I also don’t use the money cheat until absolutely necessary😂. You’ve made so much progress already, you’re nearly halfway through. And wow, so many rooms! I’m guessing your family is going to be pretty big (3+ Zoi children is big to me😅). From what you’ve said, it’s definitely gonna take a while to furnish it to your liking lol, but it’ll be fun creating your Zois’ home according to the story you want for them. For the pillars, stacking might be the workaround. I haven’t built in a while as I’ve been focusing on creating outfit presets, but I don’t think multi-floor pillars exist in-game yet, although I could be wrong.

My roofing still needs so much work, but THANK YOU!!!! Remember last night I'd built the exterior and interior walls. So this morning the roof took me a good 3 hours. I actually play using a cloud gaming platform, so I have to figure out how to take better screenshots (not with my phone) overall. I think the platform does have options. I just need to figure them out. Next time I'm on, I'll play around! Want to take pics of the interior too because it looks so barren and ugly now!

3 HOURS? That is a seriously long time! I never put effort into my roofs, I didn't know it took that long omg. You're doing great, really. What device are you using to access the platform? If you're using a PC or laptop, you can use your system's screenshot option to take the picture. Can't wait to see the interior, will you take the picture after adding doors and windows inside?

3 hours also because remember, I'm super new to inZoi. And I'm honest, I'm enjoying the building here much more than on Sims... never did I ever spend 3 hours on roofing in sims. But getting the color just right took some time... and each section has individual roofing... so yeah... what did I sign myself up for? 🤣 I'm using a Laptop and then playing through Boosteroid because my laptop could NEVER... going to take pics of inside before I do the windows and doors too so we can see the difference of light coming in... thanks for the advice! 🫶🏻

In city map view you can click all families and there is a huge + sign to create new zois. After creating a new zoi you can select 2 household in the same menu and move zois between households

Here's a Pic of the back of the house (beach facing) with windows... and a look at natural lightning at different times of the day. So I have an idea of what I'm going for inside... a modern beach theme... so very light and airy, with some really nice stone like marble and such incorporated in different areas of the house... wooden floors... then some accents of sea green or teel throughout the house... lots of plants throughout the house...

This is beautiful, the early morning sun will be so gorgeous on the furniture once the house is complete. Sea green is just such a luxurious colour on furniture, and marble will complement it effortlessly. I love the vision, can't wait to see the finished build ☺️ !

I feel like I have total imposter syndrome at this stage 🤣 because have we seen the build on Canvas? 🤣🤣🤣 Then at the same time, I see a lot of the same kind of ultra modern houses being built on Canvas, so I want to try something slightly different. What Ive learned is basically at first employees are worthless...
you have to 'butter them up' give them compliments, tell them what a good job there doing.. etc. (even though there not).
Establish a 'relationship' with your employee (inappropriate I know).
Smooze with the customers, talk with them use the 'treat fairly' action often.

Also go out and 'attract' customers.. folks walking past.

I am using mods now and the game is really smooth. I deleted all mods from the 2 mods folder. Ran a check on steam and dowloaded mods fresh. Only downloaded mods from january. Only very few from december like the no grey underwear and game is perfect. 16000 ram and 118 fps now

I dont think you can set a NPC as a "Owner" of one of YOUR businesses.
You can certainly get them to work there without you being around.

Isnt one of the options when creating a buisness like a 'hands off' approach? I forget how it's worded.

I don't see why not. I think to manage the business you would have to use the owner, but as the employed one you can just work normally too.

I didn't know you can make franchises. I bought a small spot to start and now I moved my Restaurant to a bigger lot, but the old one does not have the option to sell it. The biggest spot in dowon is awesome I got to make restaurant on the first floor and bakery on the second floor
