I just click on play the game and it’s very laggy and not looking too good, I have tried a lot of stuff but still don’t work and sometimes it crashes without even starting, and the adrenaline app tells me my game is running on marginal mode

I been having a lot of bad experiences with this pc, even tho is brand new

Not sure but within windows you can tell software what priority to run at. low medium and high. It sounds like sometihng in your system has set the game to a low priority so it does not use all the resources available on the pc.

I dunno; changing cpu priority in Task Manager usually does not do what you think it does. The scheduler, unless you really know what you're doing, is best left alone.

adrenalin has a lot of features in it for performance on games from radeon boost to anti lag and fluid motion frames. having not owned a AMD GPU I could not talk you threw it.

There is AMD performance tuning within Adrenalin not sure if that would help.

I believe it. Truth be told, though, the problem they're describing doesn't sound like a job for a fine-tuning tool, but ere requires some PC troubleshooting. Like is their CPU thermal throttling? Too little memory? Etc.

I am usually using nVidia, so am unfamiliar with AMD gpu's too

They can always run Furmark or something for their GPU; but stuttering mostly denotes CPU thermal throttling (if it's an overheat issue at all)

from what I can see in adrenaline you have a gaming tab. inside that is game advisor and performance tuning presents.

if adrenalin is reporting it as marginal it makes me think the game is not optimized within adrenalin. Just a theory to be honest.

Power supply's you really need to know what your system spec require then for future use I would add 200 watts. But I would always suggest a well known brand for power supply's.

As long as you know this (and I do, as I've always bought ASUS) you can simply readjust things yourself.

Yes absolutely that is why I went with asrock they have some of the best boards right now at better prices. If worst comes to worst and you have any issues remember you can RMA the board as long as it's done in a timely manner of when you got the board.

See, need a new computer, as I managed to wear out the ICM on my i9 12900k, having GSkill memory on XMP II, running at 1.5v all the time. It now occassionally starts to bluescreen on that, so had to revert to JEDEC settings

That's what you bloody get when they integrate the memory controller on the CPUs

Opp okay so if you are using g skill ram make absolutely sure if will work with what ever asrock board u r looking into. I can tell you the board i have works with g skill ram but some of them don't get along with that ram well.

Example this was the board i was using before I got the better one i have now. Not only did it not work well with my g skill ram but it unfortunately was also a faulty board. Yes, one always needs to be very careful picking memory properly. BIOS updates often do help too, but not to overcome inherent issues (like using double-sided chips, when your mobo specifically states to only use single-sided)

4 sticks is problematic, on both Intel and AMD; can be done, but you're almost always looking at having to run lower MTFs (or looser timimgs)

Yes... When father zoi died, son was made the house owner. Money is by household and will follow everyone of that household unless they move out (and you decide how much they take away).

you can hit "M" and click your old address location and select "Play this household" and you can play both of them switching back and forth, I've been doing this for a few hours now... Controlling the Son's household with his wife and 2 kids, and the daughter household with her hubby and 6 kids (well they are grown up now, but still my kids).

Be mindful though the game does not manage a household as well as us human do (at least for now), so sometimes you come back to starving zoi and them having had a few fights (relationship bar dropped). 😉

The only way to do that would be to get invited in a household (or ring the bell on said household door and they let you in) then talk to the baby and select "check temperature" or "change diaper" something. Assuming you find one, it would work. If you dont know anyone in the household in question, they might just ignore you or send you away... but if you at least know someone it's easier.

Absolutely, I already filed a complaint, tried several videos all of them have feet sinking below the floor

I think it's more than items sinking below platforms, the feet are also tracked incorrectly when converting from the video

A lot of little problems around feet, for instance character hover a little when they don't wear shoes, very noticible when riding surfboards

thats a good one, so much with steps needs looking at. it's the overlapping keep out zones, you can't have anything almost 2 squares in front of a door, that includes the keep out zone at the top and bottom of steps. so a hallway with a door to the side at the bottom of steps, can't do unless the steps are at least 2 squares away from the wall the door is in.

as for me, maybe if I go back far enough, the gifts won't go poof when changing the house on the lot, maybe, my save folders may be broken tho, not sure.

I think it's a module, a plug-in for UE5, I just forget where I had seen that, or maybe I'm confusing ue5 for unity. the pathing thing.

I just recall some of the code can be fast and glitchy wile other pathing units can be good and CPU demanding.

after my first house, I learned to move a zoi to the lot, then in build mode there mark the corners of the lot and save that, to guide making a house for that lot. at least in Dowon the sizes are a bit limited, not sure about bliss bay.

I don't know if anyone has a lot location and size thing yet.

yep that's normal - if you want it to stay off auto, you have to do so in the Settings

but that will disable Auto for all zoi's

I'm not sure if this is the right place to offer general feedback/suggestion, but it is the closest group I can find - the early access feedback categories are very specific. It's no secret that the number of current players that regularly log in and play now is very small compared to what it was soon after release. Personally, I do not find that too surprising and not uncommon for an early access game. However, I've noticed some of the big Youtubers are no longer covering inZOI because the viewship numbers are significantly down and some have suggested that the game has tanked. So, what I am wondering is if there could be some type of reward program where players would be rewarded each time they logged in and completed simple tasks or played for a certain amount of time.... maybe earn some type of special currecy that could be used now or in the future for special game items like furniture, outfits, gameplay items, etc.

I know it is not possible to edit surnames at the moment. I dont know how it chooses the name for the offspring.
So if it bothers you that much your only option will be to find a previous save or re-roll.
Hopefully in the future they will get the ability to rename zois in game.

when you move out of a lot, it resets to the way it was before you moved in.

In the video I watched, her Zoi died three times in a row when she reloaded the save and there was nothing she could do about it, no warning either. Luckily she had an older save so she could save him.

That's what I had to do, luckily I had a save that brought her back so i could install an air con and fans. She didn't end up dying again (yet). She does wear an outter jacket but sadly can't remove it...she's pregnant and it won't let you edit her outfit. Guess she will have to live the rest of her life in a bathing suit because she has the pregnancy glitch 😂 she's been pregnant for almost 2 real life weeks.

I didn't find that option either o.o I switched though the households to feed the zois because they were all starving when I left them to their own devices and the baby in the premade family was starving too! I didn't know what to do and panicked and then I evicted the whole family to prevent the worst 😱 I think if you have autonomy on in the city settings, they will feed it automatically? I hope we'll get the option to turn autonomy off and they'll just care for their primary needs. I play multiple households and I really hate it when they mess up their karma and relationships with autonomy on -.-

yeah, I'm mostly looking at other stuff, so it's nice to have a zoi I don't have to micro manage. I'm not sure if "go getter" & Life of Respectability, are the only personality traits that tend to their own needs. something to look into.

if I miss telling her to do something in the morning, my zoi is brushing her own teeth, making breakfast, etc. even makes songs and SciFi books on her own accord.

@Developers Can you please implement this for June's patch? Please make it so that families are able to move to another town (Dowon or Bliss Bay) while preserving their skills? There is a huge lack of things to do in Dowon and I'd like to move my family to Bliss Bay but I don't want to lose all their progress. It's unfair that I've spent so many hours giving them their own personalities and lives, and I'm expected to start them at a blank slate because I'd like to move them to a town with more stuff to do 😦

@Developers Can you also make it so that we can save families to certain houses in the neighborhood so that they don't move out or disappear? I'm a rotational gameplayer and while rotating households, I've had families that I've built bonds with and progressed pretty far in their careers disappear from their neighborhoods because there's no way to save certain households from moving out of the neighborhood. Okay i posted this on my fb groups but they haven't responded. I know someone posted about being able to use floorppans found online as an added texture to a floor tile to create blueprints to build off. I thought I was doing it right but now for some reason when I do what I remember, ie adjusting pattern size and horizontal and vertical panels, it won't put the image in the center. Like the left half of the floor plan with be on the right hand side and the right half will be on the left and there will be a space in the middle and no matter how I slide it up and down or back and forth the floor plan won't center to get all of it. Am I missing something?

I know things that are interactable stop doing that glow thing when hovering the mouse over them (including other zois), when you alt-tab arbitrarily out of the game to many times, the fix is to close the game then start it back up (not go to lobby and back, complete exit then click play on the steam app when it changes to 'play'). if you can't even click other zois, that sounds like something to report https://discord.com/channels/1162040845181124618/1356067911705563288

If we could say one day is equal to 3 months in the settings somewhere, then it would make sense.

One of my Zois died. She went into the souls section. Now, she's not in the souls section, she's in the karma status of the "people living in the city" But...she's dead

I'm not sure which this qualifies to be under feedback wise, as it's kind of both gameplay and tech issue related but I wanted to ask because I have tried everything for a work around---cleaning cache, emptying inzoi photo file to another. upgrading my drive, adjusting the ingame and computer resolution graphics and none of it's made a difference. BASICALLY: I've implanted a few different households. Some in the same save file each. And it's been an issue for the both of them. For some reason I can't load the game and edit their appearance by clicking on a zoi or doing the interaction via the mirror without it doing the same thing without fail every time. The crashing is either instant, or when I finish and attempt to hit the "complete" option after saving it as a preset just in case. as for fighting other zois, I have no clue at all, never thought of it.

I've noticed that walking against a wall thing when zois are about to go up stairs, they just keep trying to go forward till they are in the step animation zone I guess, then they stop for a moment and start up the stairs.
the coding for what zois do is clearly way more complex, as each npc also does random things, far more complex than walking back and forth in a fixed path. so the CPU load is already far more than something like NPCs in HZD where they just stand there unless explicitly programed for a quest to be doing something.

so, I can understand how some pathing code can only look at a 2D map of stuff, cuz it's less math than 3D vectors to stuff with floor limits to find the closest fridge. also explains how some NPCs get stuck wanting to use something in my zois house instead of going home.
maybe a compromise, look at this floor first, then if no fridge, then look at floor +1 and -1 2D maps and so on, maybe?

I haven't played in a while so sorry if im not 100% accurate, but check which layer the imported hair is located on in the 3d printed section (accessories, hats, etc). Once you figure that out, then you should be able to go to the layer in the 3D Print section and apply it to any other outfit

nope! i tried in a few separate saves. even for the part time jobs which makes less sense for young adult, teen, and adult. i've not any elderly folk aside from any defaults 'cause a) it's disabled. b) the length between birthdays is ridiculous! i totally have nothing against getting older and watching my zoi die, i swear! so i can't say for them in particular, but I'd be surprised if they could and the others couldn't!

I had gotten complacent with later saves, and when I went back to a much older save to test a house, I forgot how low my zoi's play funds were, lol.

game is in testing mode, devs prob didn't know if the economy would work or not, so prob put that in as a safety net. I don't know if there is a disable for it, best I can suggest is just pretend 1k isn't there, anything below 1k is negative balance.🤷

I don't know where the trigger is for the welfare rebound, first time ever going below a few k in the account.

by the way, I understand wanting to turn welfare off in game, I felt dirty even having it knowing my zoi could earn way more in a few hours. I'm just going to go back and try it from scratch after changing a few things with the house, and earn all the cool stuff.

To design the floor for a house do you have to put down this floor tile because they are too big for what I want, I’m just wondering if there’s an easier way to do the floor?

The floor gets build when you build a room and you can change the whole floor by selecting the icon in the added pic. If you want to design floors with no walls attached, you could use a platform or place a room and just delete the walls. With the icon I marked in the picture, you can also adjust the size of the platforms.

not sure why, if the shape has to many corners I think the code stops checking if the wall makes a complete circuit back to the arbitrary starting point. start with simple cubic shapes then yeet walls in-between.

I've had similar happen with small balconies, so don't think it's a other side beyond checking range forever-loop exception.

the tradeoff, unfortunately, is a forever loop of never stopping to see if the next corner leads back to the start in some circumstances.

ye have the same kind of, "that's enough", light bounce iterations for CGI rendering.
