Hey there, I was summoned after hearing about a 2 month old kitty.

So you dont actually have to worry, there's nothing wrong with the kitten.
At the age of 2 months old, their teeth would have started to already grow (they'll have super sharp teeth those little goblins) and because of that, they will practically eat anything and everything they smell as food and smells good to them.
Kittens at that age are also very prone to over eat and will want to eat or just toss themselves at food even if they just finished eating.
Yes, that means that even if they stopped and left food on their plate, they'll still go after other food if they see it.
What i would suggest is that firmly say "No" to the kitten every time they try to go for your food (dont actually scream at them or hit em please) and if you feel comfortable, grab them by the back of their neck (mimicking their mom when they grab kittens. Though id watch a video on how to do it well first) and place them somewhere else. (It'll also be very tedious but they'll slowly learn) you can also use a water bottle to gently spray them with water every time they go for your food.
Kittens are very energetic and they will run a lot and eat a lot.
Nothing wrong or greedy about it, it's just their instinct to try to have as much food in them incase "they dont get to eat the next day"
Youll see it on strays a lot.

Hope that helps and as I said, dont worry, its completely fine that they want to eat.
Worry the moment they become lethargic and stop eating, thats when things are bad 😔

I disagree with parts of this. I have fostered many young cats and kittens never threw themselves at food if they were full. My wife and I have fostered kittens so young that we had to get up in the middle of the night to bottle feed them like human babies until they were able to transition into eating wet food on their own. With wet food they used to shove their paws into the food and get messy but they never ate more than they needed.

The water spray bottle is also a big meme. At any age, you can't just tell a cat "no" without also adding a "yes" unless you want to purposely struggle for no good reason.

For example, if your cat is scratching the side of your couch your "no" is to scratching the couch, but then your "yes" is to scratch a new sturdy scratching post you placed nearby. Cats need to be redirected, not shut down with only a "No."

Second this. Plus being on certain medications has made my heat tolerance plummet. I end up sweating faster than I can rehydrate and I end up dizzy, angry, and short of breath.

I've stayed inside basically all summer cause this heat is just unbearable
