@narrow rock so from what I have found through searching online as well as asking my teacher, the term partner and spouse is used commonly by ss couples here in Korea due to the fact that ss marriage is still illegal here and it is the most accurate way for them to describe their relationship to others.

I live in Korea and am taking Korean courses. My teacher is a native Korean

But Korean itself is a very detailed language. Like there are so many more vocabulary words and grammar rules

So like it is important for them to use the proper terminology that best describes what they want to say

Some folks have been kinda very hurtful to attack Korea, and while there is still a way to go in terms of progress, I don't think the translator or the dev team is really trying to discriminate or anything here. It hurts to see folks tho make broad claims about Korea and/or the devs
