I honestly love Sims 3 more than Sims 4 because of the open world. But I don't play it that often because somehow the games goes a bit slowly, however I have a decent gaming desktop

It can run well after some fixes allowing it to detect your GPU etc.

My only real exposure to punk was GTA5 when I was playing Trevor. I was like this is punk? Terrible. Then I turned it off. But GTA5 outside of a handful of songs probably has one of the worst soundtracks outside of GTA3. Which is reaaaaaly bad.

I've come across so many Metal bands in my time as a Metalhead that I've forgotten a lot from not listening for years to them.

Not entirely, depends on if inZoi can successfully be optimized to run on lower end PCs. A lot of the Sims community play on lower end PCs and not everyone can afford a custom made computer just for gaming. If inZoi successfully figures how to do this without compromising on quality then yes, Sims 5 may be doomed (well not totally as there are always people who would play the game)

They have spoke about optimization for lower end PC's in one of their videos but not too much on it yet, but time will tell if the final product will work well on lower end PC;s too.
Regarding Sims, yeah there will still be users playing Sims, but with where Sims is now, its not in a good standing because all it has become is a repetitive game with lacking alot, especially graphics and new innovative ideas Sims 3 was by far better than Sims 4. Even the Director of the new Sims game referred to as Project Rene left to join another team to work on a better life Sim game, which says alot in the direction the new Sims game was heading, possibly knowing that it would never compete with other Sim games in development.

Imo it’s not possible for them to figure that out. If they did that’d be a massive feat not just for Krafton but for the entire gaming industry lol it’s highly highly unlikely. Better quality means better hardware. That’s just the way games work. There’s no way around it. Sims players don’t need more than a cheap $200 laptop to play the game only because EA has catered to that demographic. The era of being able to play life sims on low end computers is over imo. Every other life sim being developed right now are all over the place when it comes to what the expectations for specs will be. The good thing about variety coming to the genre means there will be a game for everyone - but not every game will cater to every demographic of sim player. These of course are just my personal opinions.

That said, Inzoi developers are aware about optimization concerns and plan to do their best to optimize the game! Personally I think the majority of sims players will be forced to upgrade if they want to play Inzoi, as the type of pcs I see sims players using across social media could barely run any game that came out in 2014 other than sims let alone even any low spec current gen games lol

There is only so much developers can do to optimize the game without sacrificing quality.

You have a valid point, we will just have to wait and see what happens. I have a custom built PC because I play GTA, Mortal Kombat, The Sims, red dead redemption and far cry but in my opinion not everyone can get a custom PC just to play games and I'd love to have friends who do not have high end PCs to be able to play with me as well since it would be a multiplayer game.

Business wise it only makes more sense to broaden the consumer market by targeting both users of high and low end PCs for wider consumer coverage (if they can). The selling point for the Sims 4 was it's accessibility to all regardless if they had low end PC specifications or not. While I totally understand what you have said and think it's very logical, I hope they can achieve this feat.

Honestly I'm glad they're actually not giving us a date. I felt the last time that they announced June 4, I thought "they really should not have said anything." I'm guessing things are not going well for the higher ups to shut it down so close to the scheduled release date - even in early access. It really sounded like they were going to release it, which is really confusing. Maybe there's a difference in opinion.

@dreamy oracle since I was going off topic in #inzoi-chat . I think because there's no "release date" for LBY, that means that there's going to be major changes. They do not have a set date because they're simply not ready. I don't know anything about modeling/animations but that seems to be the number 1 complaint. I've been reading posts, and people are saying (I don't know if it's true) that to change it, it would take a lot of rework. Perhaps they will try to fix it, and because they're going do a lot of rework, they simply don't have the time. I think it will be ready in 2 years.

I think they're giving the team a week's break and then maybe brainstorm ways to improve the game...and then they'll start planning how to fix it... etc... this takes time

since they're keeping silent on the date of release, they'll probably change the marketing strategy. Maybe they'll not update as much until we see improvements

I THINK if paradox simply gave up on the game, they'd just keep gambling on the early access release and get that to recoup the money that they spent on development, not caring about the quality of the game, and blame the bugs on "early access"
