I'm pretty sure this is the same thing people say in general about lifesims. Not every person is gonna be 100% satisfied or even close they said the same about the sims. People want lore but then complain about feeling constrained. People want autonomy but complain about complexity of it. The sims as a whole has had 25+ years to develop " the perfect" game but still fails at it. Why are we arguing amongst each other about things that are still very new in comparison

One thing I give paralives is their toddlers have some beautiful animations and interactions. If you forget the cartoonish look they behave more like real babies.

I don’t want to go off on too much of a tangent, but card system aside, which can feel interruptive at times to say the least, there’s an aspect of Paralives that I think resonates with people, myself included, who enjoy RPG-like progression systems. Things like following structured tasks to complete certain goals. A lot of cozy games have this too, like Coral Island and maybe Dinkum, although probably in a simpler form. The caveat is that while the dopamine hits, it’s really fun. But once you’ve played through most of it, the appeal can fall off pretty fast and you’re kinda ready to move on.

I mean, don’t get me wrong, I do like having the freedom to form my own narrative through gameplay. But with TS3, and to a good extent Paralives too, I think having optional structured goals can be good for players who enjoy that RPG-like progression loop. I don’t think it has to replace sandbox play; it can just exist as another layer. And with the backbone inZOI already has, I feel like a similar system could be implemented in a much more immersive, layered, and seamless way. Like, instead of the game giving you a promotion-style perk overnight, it could have you naturally encounter certain NPCs, either pre-made or randomly generated, who trigger events, story beats, or small missions. That way the progression system still exists, but it feels like it’s happening through the world.

Instead, they use the classic cursor only on console version too and it's a old game. There's no excuses...

I play on GFN, so the texture maker in inZOI has been really convenient. Without it, getting texture variations for my builds would feel like hoops upon hoops, from finding license-free material that matches the build to importing it, and it’d be a rough interruption to my gameplay. I really enjoy the feature, and I don’t feel worried using it, even when sharing builds with others, since the terms say it’s trained on approved sources.

i agree that working in improving foundations is a must, but i think that what InZoi's team's doing is building the foundation first. Some people play the game way too much in my opinion. That’s why they are bored of inzoi not because the game is missing something. Honestly they need to take a break for week or something and find a second hobby to entertain them. Even better go outside and interact with real people once in a while. You can also do parcel deliveries with your own vehicle, own and run a business, get a uni degree, freelance, do office work at the same time, and even go on trips to different cities.

First time switching to their family just to see how they were doing...
She's estranged 2 of her 3 toddlers (and how you do that to begin with!?)
Other families hate each other too.

Whatever change they did to the autonomy back in the 0.5.0 to 0.7.0 era removed the progress that was made from 0.1.0 to 0.2.0.

So glad they finally acknowledged that they will be focusing on the core issues/basic mechanics.
It really need a lot of tweaks, from eating, to sleeping, to actual relationships (all of them were working fine before 0.4.5 too). Can;t wait for those fixes. Long overdue.

Mmm not sure if there is one that i specifically know of. However, installing via the in game mod menu is best. Make sure you check that the mods are updated as several can be broken. if you have issues in game just be careful with what and how many mods you add

if it's for decos, you probably won't really face issues using mods downloaded from canvas, which can be accessed by clicking at the upper right hand corner in the game. Maybe some might just come too big, even if you try to reduce the size all the way, but there are ones that do come in right size, so it can be a nice little free shopping.

I couldn't understand because as far as I've experienced until 0.7.0, this was absolutely false.

This new game I made right now? the one I tested my new house with? Well I am continuing it and all they do is read books like madmen/madwomen, trash their relationships, and eat. Heck they don't even go to sleep on their own half the time now and you have to tell them to sleep.

For kids ? They also read books like madmen and they removed the "hang together" for kids in the shoolyard after school, so they do not even make friends anymore (which in retrospect with their current AI they would make enemies, but w/e).

So I am sorry if I was condescending and dismissive of that opinion.

i've noticed the # of the zoi seems correlated to how new they are. it's been 156 157+ that tend to hangaround and then vanish. other zoi #'s dont go away

havent figured out if the next bunch will be 158.

one day they work at every spot in town, go out at night to clubs etc... and then they just kinda vanish

so even if the zoi you play as forms bonds with them they go poof

and you get a whole new cast of zois with the repeat faces the game tends to generate

I guess I'm just curious why zois with certain #'s seem to follow different updates. some zois expire after a few days, others retain their existance forever

the ones who work npc jobs like food trucks basically vanish

and they draw from the same narrow pool of names... usually male workers assigned female names

Basically if a bad weather event happens between the time you schedule the wedding and the day it is supposed to happen ? Your wedding gets cancelled and you can never re-schedule it. Furthermore, if you MANUALLY cancel the wedding (in prevision of the bad weather bug), you still cannot re-schedule the wedding.

Ok so. I played inzoi for a bit when it came out last year. But it felt too unfinished for me. After hearing that it had major updates I played again in march. Due to my excitement for paralives i started playing inzoi again last week and im HOOKED i realised that I rly had to learn the game and that it has a pretty big learning curve (still have to google stuff) i got paralives as well and while I do understand that its early access the amount of bugs makes it unplayable for me. Also the toxic positivity from some people just dissapoints me and it let the excitement for paralives go away as well. I know the community shouldnt effect my excitement but it still kinda did. For now Ill enjoy inzoi to the fullest until paralives had some good updates. Im planning to play both. Stopped playing soms though. Kinda got bored with it.

It’s actually a paid cloud gaming service, so you’re paying around $10 a month, but the catch is that you have to pay for a full year upfront. Right now, the Xbox controller overlay on Android feels too clunky, and the UI is generally too small. But if inZOI adds better support for the mobile GFN interface, I think the gameplay could feel like native, with basically no issues, as long as your internet connection is good.

It's going to be a long road until then. I still find ways to enjoy the game so far, like doing mini-experiments myself. But others just want cozy or dramatic gameplays, or forever worlds, and the game has not made it possible yet.

Thats normal the mod author needs to update the mods then you validate them after every patch so until the mod author does it on their end u have to wait. Some mods are not affected by patches tho

I do not see a fix in 0.8.6 for non-played families being stuck in their age groups and never getting older...
Anyone had chance to test if this is fixed ? This bug has been a show stopper for me, and it's been going on for 3-4 weeks now.

I think they fixed the hunger gauge? My Zoi went to sleep and woke up with the hunger bar barely lowered at all..

I think the best option is to set all needs depletion to be "over time" and maybe add a setting page for needs in the menu. That way you could set how fast they deplete, and maybe something like how quick they refill too (though that's mostly for eating and sleeping -- Sleeping in 96min is still bugged, takes 3.5 hours to recoop 80% fatigue, which is too fast, and Eating takes too long in anything else than the 48min time per day. Drinking is even more ridiculous).

As you said, since everyone does not like it the same way, IMHO that would be the best thing.
Sure, that create TONS of options in the menus, but ppl that do not care would never go there anyways.
MODS for eating/sleeping time messes up any other time per day other than the one they say they fix, so not really an option.
