hi has the renodx mod stopped working?

I think Lyall’s mod does not work anymore too
So I found a problem when playing FF7 Rebirth, when enabling DLSS FG it disables the addon. im not sure if there is a fix for that
you should use dldsr by any means. flawless widescreen allows this for 2880p
I'm not really playing or planning to play this game. I've got over 100 hours in it and have done most of the content, if not pretty much everything. But thanks for the recommendation

Shader comp stutters
Games catches barely anything
Can only hope for microsoft's advanced shader delivery to fix these games

Bazzite solves shader comp stutters with valves fossilize, only issue is that Nvidia doesn't have good Linux drivers
Yeah certain areas of game will drop the occasional frame on max settings.

Ehm.. could it be that pre-rendered cutscenes are broken with this? It seems that the screen goes almost full white whenever such cutscene comes on screen

SpecialK + RenoDX no longer work for me after updating reshade to 6.6.2
Disabling rebar in bios literally fixes this game for me. No more camera stutters

I get this too by the way. I just use RenoDX and display commander instead
I'm 99% sure it does nothing if you haven't manually enabled rebar since, as I said, the game is not whitelisted by Nvidia. I also tried this on my 4070ti super last week and stutters were 100% consistent either way. Double check you're not looking at shader comp stutter?

RPG Site: What are your thoughts on the Final Fantasy VII remake series script compared to the original so far?
TurquoiseHammer: I’m a huge fan of the English localization work Square Enix has done on the Remake trilogy. It’s hard to think of another lip-synced, story-forward Japanese game with a translation of this caliber. Localization can be a pretty thankless job, especially when the fandom is as fractious as FFVII’s. Remake’s English localization taking more liberties than other languages has unsurprisingly led to accusations of bias—but the trade-off is a superior narrative experience with very little friction for Western audiences. And of course, this is all by design; Square Enix has seasoned staff coordinating its various localization units. Nobody’s tricking the Japanese scenario team into greenlighting a dishonest translation.
That said, I do have some minor nitpicks about Remake and Rebirth’s localization. There are lines here and there that I think fail to capture the nuance of a scene or preserve a nod to other titles in the series — but these are few and far between. More irksome to me is how inconsistent the English translation is with preserving terminology from the OG. I think most fans will agree that Climhazzard sounds a whole lot cooler than Ascension (even if it’s etymologically inscrutable), and that the new Jenova boss names muddy an already effective naming scheme. I’m a lot more forgiving of the fact that Remake and Rebirth reuse almost no dialogue from the 1997 release. That’s only natural considering the stiffness of the OG translation. Lastly, I just have to comment on the localization’s aggressive tendency to lowercase what should be proper nouns. airbuster, anyone?

These guys do generally a good job but they have a lot of bias in certain scenes
I remember there was a whole debacle about a remake translation surrounding when Aerith first appeared in remake on loveless street

What are your current recommendations for mods? Should I use the most recent RenoDX release posted above? Are there any worthwhile HD texture packs? I got some great ones for Remake, but didn't see anything that seemed worthwhile on Nexusmods for Rebirth

There’s some level of competency in their hdr implementation so I imagine they at least used d65 white point during development
But then again it’s a video game
Color management is a foreign idea to game devs
I used D93 and it looked decent in the grass zone I’ll continue to play around
The particles felt more intense in D93 but still detailed
D93 gets really weird later in the game

I am not a big horizon fan, I have mixed feelings on rebirth. But liked it overall.
I mean, it's not a bad game
But it's also an amalgamation of every AAA open world game that's built on the Ubisoft formula
And it's also a terrible remake that misses the point of the original a lot of the time
It's really gonna take part 3 for people to accept it's a sequel 😩

The first game was already hinting at "not a remake" towards the end, and the second one is telling you so from the very first sequence

Even by OG standards there's no reason to believe sephiroth is fully dead at the end of FF7. He didn't die once, he can choose not to die again.
I think it probably will end up being some sort of sequel/cycle
They give some hints in ever crisis, either sephiroth needs to be obliterated somehow or he need to accept death and stop resisting returning to the life stream.
the biggest hint really is Aerith's force ghost conversation in Remake
more so than anything in Rebirth

I think the open world was two changes aways from being very good
there is too much stuff to do as soon as get to an area, there is usually no reason to go back places which makes it so that you want to finish everything before moving on. If content was more a bit less and more evenly paced and no ubisoft towers + checklist it would have been pretty good.
The story won't change
They add a bunch of bullshit to make you think it's diffrent, but the outcome will be functionally the same
Sequel bros keep ignoring Kitase saying multiple times after Rebirth release that the story won't change, the ending will link up to the AC, and comparing remakes to the star wars special editions

And yes some things will still happen but it's a new story, just cause part of that story, and lore means ||aerith still needs to die|| doesn't mean there's no change. It doesn't make plot sense for ||aerith to basically do what sephiroth did||.
I think they are both still plausible outcomes and the 3rd game will make or break a lot for sure. I'm enjoying the ride so far, but I definitely can become sour on the entire thing if they don't stick the landing on part 3. I can see also why people already are sour since they have no faith in the 3rd entry delivering.

I did get a fix. I needed to update my game. I updated to the latest version 1.0004.
I was on the launch version of the game.
After updating to the latest version it worked.
