Hi, i have been pondering my bald headed prophet's orb, and i decided that i want to make some fanart, so id like to reach out to artists here, your medium can be traditional or digital it doesn't matter i just need some advice regarding body horror.

I went to an artschool, i have knowledge of the anatomy of muscles, rough idea of organs as that was never really important, here i mean the heart, guts, the nastier things, not eyes or stuff thats visible.

Now, finding references for body horror, twisted bodies, bones being in the wrong spot or skin looking wrong even if its covering the right places is obviously an impossible task because noone like that really exists, thats the whole idea of uncanny valley. The challange to capture the unnatural well enough, it actually creeps people out.

The issue: I am a perfectionist, if something doesnt feel like it will be perfect, even if the sketch is okay i will delete it out of existence. With body horror, i kinda have to trust the whole process obviously, but its not hard to tell when bones look too off, or muscle isn't pulled right even in an unnatural position.

Question: Any tips overall? Where do i even begin to look for references in a morally right way? I don't want injuries or torn apart parts, just strange creatures like idk, the pale visitor. Something that resembles a human, but...the body is heavily wrong!
