Most of the chests are relatively balanced if based on five merging bronze keys. There is a little debate in #1272491707438731294 about which chest is best. The general consensus is that silver is slightly better for gems, and gold is slightly better for greenhouse parts

That way we can collect extra resources and you get extra resources too. It is good to pick out one of each that you want more of and put it close to the top of your farm where you collect your energy (and you can put a decoration there too so that coins are in the same place)

Oh, now after visiting your farm, I wouldn't worry too much about maintaining one plant and one animal until you are closer to level 20. Right now you're just trying to juggle the space you have haha. I remember that hard juggle from back then. You can also shovel away any chests you have until about level 20 (but keep all of your keys!)

Gems also benefit from the 5-merge strategy, so if you want to play "optimally" you should save all your gems and merge them when you have 5 of the same rank, then only collect them when they're the highest type. When you do a 5-merge, you get a bonus item and it acts like you merged 6 so it's worth it for gems!
