After 5merging your smaller coins and getting the max coin, they do a good job blocking. Max gems and energy are both useful, too. Max energy stored on the farm helps to keep the free energy flowing (keeping it less than 50).

You can’t really cancel any orders though, sadly. That said, it’s just that recipe that spits out two bronze coins. Everything else gives you at least a stack of bronze coins.

the outhouse, windmill, chicken coop, etc

not really. you can speed it up for free at 30 seconds left but past that no

hire a second worker. unless your problem is with energy in which case do energy trades with people
