As for my original argument, IN MY OPINNNNIIIIOOOOOOOOOOON. Morgan's death was worse than Snoke's. Snoke was a 1D character, he didn't have an interesting backstory (to me), or really any backstory for all that matter (I'm sure there was something about him in the comics idc) AND I believe his death was atleast originally intended as a story beat to prime the ascension of Kylo Ren's character to take his place. I believe RJ wanted to use him as a place holder and that was honestly a valid use for his character. in my opinion. However, that didn't really happen and TROS did fuck all with even Kylo lol.

Morgan in my opinion has an interesting backstory. She was Nightsister survivor whom clearly had some, deficiencies with her abilities. Likely as a result of being removed from her culture so young. She then became an imperial loyalist, and an acolyte of Thrawn. She hatched a successful plan to find him and bring him back to the galaxy. She then finally reconnects with members of her culture and recieves their blessings... power, AND a powerful weapon of significance, but died for no other apparent reason than to "stall" the Jedi strike team, which if Filoni's depiction of events was to be believed... the Nighttroopers were doing just fine with lol. So in my opinion a needless death.

Whereas the Senate duel with Palps ||(🐐)|| and Yoda ||(🐐)||, it was pure CGI which is why that fight’s choreography is so much better

It's one of those things where it's like "how can you define it?" is it by the tone, atmoshphere, theming or is it just the reference now he did say that the cameos and the known stuff people complain about he said that doesn't equal a good show which ok it's just it just ends up a total mystery on what is the vibe of the series

to me in my opinion I think why we get this statement from those who don't care about the cameo nostalgia stuff could be the wholesome theming of "importance of family" which is a big premise that can be found in all of the trilogies and the animated shows, Andor maybe one of the few exceptions as that's not the main theme it's "what are you giving up to fight for peace?" and family is one of the things they give up but it's not a main focus

I think to see his point, you need to look at Mando S1 Vs Andor. Mandalorian had a lot of deep cut references without shoving them in your face, while designing cool new armour that fits canon designs and also references for new watchers alike. There was a tonne of alien characters, and an expansive asset and set design that really speaks to star wars' strengths

Andor doesn't really have any of that with the human characters and the space AK and the lack of any faction besides empire and rebels but it makes up for it in exploring themes not explored fully before and doing so with extremely good writing and nuance
