That’s Oasis performing 3 nights Billy Joel, and Robbie Williams both with one night at Murrayfield. Legacy of Taylor is that stadiums can as of January 1st game more than 3 concert nights a year. So… In theory, Taylor could, if it was next year, came back and performed more nights in Murrayfield. Bugger!!!

Yup. He is. Was talking to someone today in the entertainment industry. The idea is to get at Murrayfield in the summer as active as Wembley for concerts. Eventually they could get a NFL game there, as long as the stadium can get a micro renovation for dressing rooms. The SRU are supposed to be renting the stadium out for £600,000 a night. Ten concerts a year, and within a decade the £60m debt that’s attached to the stadium and SRU will be gone. Then, I’d say they will look at a renovation and expansion of the stadium to closer to 80,000. That could be 85,000 for a Taylor show. I believe there’s an idea for a 70,000+ stadium for Glasgow, a Hampden replacement, however dealing with the SFA is more difficult.

Hampden is a dump, for fans. Needs bombed and rebuilt to a 70,000 stadium. If it was used for a Taylor gig, I’d probably walk it, it’s less than 5 miles away.
