I am hearing that Murrayfield is being booked for 3 nights in the summer of 2027. Murrayfield are also on the verge of announcing £15m of improvements to the stadium too. New turnstiles for the most expensive part of it. Simply put, they were too tight for me. The more, shall I say, portly folks were finding it difficult. How the hell do some of those rugby folks get through as they are decently well built.

You were probably in an area where there is a crossover issue. Ten seats either way, you would probably be okay. Crossover is the area between one line array and another. Her “speaker” system is top of the line. To my information, it’s the same one that Metallica use, and the same company that Metallica liked so much, they bought the company. That’s the problem with PA systems, you can’t get it right for every seat, probably less than 1% will be sub optimal. So for Murrayfield, that would be 60-70 seats.

It was last Sunday! It went well. The atmosphere was very similar to The Eras Tour, very positive and encouraging, loving too. 30,000 runners doing the 10K (me) or the half marathon (next year?). St Vincent Street was easier than expected (I train on lots of hills) the decent to Finneston was not too bad, Kingston Bridge was pretty bad as the inclines and undulating terrain was not the greatest. Scotland Street was pretty gruelling as it’s a long slow incline. Seaward Street and PRW and Lorne Street to and across the Squinty was good. The Clydeside run was long and boring (I’m used to lots of nature) the last two kilometres were fun as the atmosphere was magical. The last Kilometre I shouted an expletive, the girls next to me were that’s the word. The last Kilometre a woman and I were sort of working together to get over the line. Got over the line under 1 hour 15 minutes, my target. I’m now starting the train down for the end of the year. Then get stronger, fitter and a little quicker for next year. I’m having an eye on the half marathon next year.

It’s been a downhill and uphill year, as. 10 months ago I near couldn’t walk as I fell in a pothole and damaged ankle ligaments.

Thank Taylor for my time, as I got 4 of her songs on in my ear. Bad Blood, Midnight Rain and But Daddy I Love Him were the three I can remember.

In other news, I’ve booked my last show for the year, Sleep Token at The Hydro. This one is going to be weird and heavy!!!!
