Learn to use your beta effectively such as the delayed deployment timing, all the abilities it can parry/block, and the damage those abilities do to your shield. Also use it with fighting with you teammates (sword and shield combo.) One of my favorite duo comps is Assault Kendo and Ibara, both have a whole lotta close range screw you options if anyone dares to get close while Ibara can handle anything at longer ranges. This is one of the biggest things that I see Assault Kendo's struggle with because they wanna focus on dealing damage instead of controlling the flow of the fight with her shield.

When that shield is used the average opponent will try to figure a way around it. The smarter players will just keep distance which if you are confident in your ability to close that distance down really quick go for it. But generally if they wanna play that game it kinda makes it easier on you at the same time because they are too scared to get close giving you plenty of time to think and make your way to a spot where you have the advantage such as a building, which also has multiple blind spots you can use. They can run away all they want I will go around objects to create blind spots for them and surprise them or just be happy inside a building that they are too scared to come into and heal which has a chance to bait them inside which is even better.

The best way to use her movement is to do the beta dash cancel with gamma. You just wanna slightly hold beta then during the dash animation you use gamma. At the end of the gamma you can jump to keep your momentum

so i don’t know how to tell you this but kendo rocks do 148 by default

always have from season 2 and on excluding the s7 nerf

i’m positive you probably just loaded into training with 1 strike on the team and no assaults (prolly bakugo) and went off of that

each strike buff is 5% more damage

5% of 148 is 8 which gives you the 156 ur talking about

be mindful of your positioning against enemies or watching where your teammates are

use your shield and avoid blocking damage with your face when you can avoid it

don’t only abuse claps, hitting rocks is just as important if not moreso

do not overchase your targets— if it takes more than 3 interactions to kill them (without teamheals) and they get completely away, give up the chase and regroup

or if they get too far in general

(kendo cannot keep up with most of the cast anymore since most characters can just take to the skies)

all you're doing is jump cancelling your drinking animation into another heal

there is no dodge roll

nor dash

anyway this variant of the tech is no longer in the game

the only character in the game who can somewhat still do it is red kendo

the important part is that you need to make sure you're holding forward at all times

or any direction

Well if her alpha knockback values haven't changed much this exact combo is a 1-2-4 out of 5 for iframes knockdown up until right before the clap, alpha is ~0.5 knockdown value so with acceleration or double rapid card that can definitely be a legit combo with the alpha. It's been a while since I've done my own knockback values testing on Assault Kendo so lemme confirm rq

The first 2 melees add 1 knockback value each while the air melee is 2 knockback values so 1+1+2 is 4 just to give you a better idea of what's going through my mind

One you get to 5 they are knocked into iframes

Though that was like season 9 or 10 for the last time I confirmed this was still true

I know it's not using the same actual knockdown values since i came up with it before we had access to it on the ultra rumble site but the system I came up with is just the actual system divided by 100 it turns out

Alpha gliding requires jumping and alphas which is pretty dam good for movement and attacks at the same time. For attack mode you face towards them and try to hit them with the alphas or if its pure movement you want you can alpha glide sideways to go further/slightly faster. Though really the only one spacehop+alphas is good against is strike shiggy. I'd want spacehop purely for movement like spacehopping onto walls with wallrunner, etc.

can someone teach me how to do the melee cancel combo?

For strike Kendo just keep practicing the timing to cancel your melee with jump. Each melee has its own timing on it (I believe the first 2 in the melee chain are about the same timings unless it was changed recently.) Each melee has a timing where the animation has a blast of air that follows it, when that shows up you can cancel it. When I get a chance I can drop a quick tutorial video to see exactly what I mean unless someone gets around to it before I do.

Her answer is always the shield and playing as a team. Nagant is a breeze if ya know how to fight her. Characters who just run away are whatever, they can run and comeback for round 2, 3, and 4 for all I care they will die for it eventually 🤣

Only chase when it's safe to do so because while yes Assault Kendo does technically have solid movement it's not top tier in any way. So quite a bit of characters will take you across the map which is pretty dangerous unless your team is onboard with it.

My general sweaty go to is wallrunner or acceleration. But recently I've also found I have had to go back to my roots and go raid boss mode with all the teaming and third partying going on so I've been using high speed replenishment and revenge support (eventually gonna switch high speed replenishment out for tech Shiggys tuning when I get enough character data and see how that goes.)

Tech allmight has a 300 damage combo

Tech shigi can 250 damage with an ability that he can spam, and can infinitly stunlock you with alphas

If you stay on the ground he misses his punch, and then you get an entire second to get up and walk away

It's actually a little crazy figuring out how most combos work better at 60FPS simply cause the stagger lasts a little longer for whatever reason but you crank it up to anything above 100+ FPS and stuff starts not connecting
