  • The wall spawns a few feet in front of her, or her ally, so it won't protect her from someone up in melee range, and is intended to be used after an opponent has been knocked away, or to provide cover while taking on a ranged opponent.

Quirk Skill Alpha! Purification!

  • Still functions as normal for the most part, but Ibara can now charge it up by holding the button, consuming all of her remaining charges for additional damage and instead of a standard knockback, opponents hit by the charged up ability are grabbed and quickly pushed back a certain distance (relative to the amount of charges consumed).
  • The damage increase is actually sort of a decrease because like if you consume two charges, it's doing less damage than if you had just hit 2 shots on someone. This is so she isn't literally one shotting people because that would be silly.
  • The push distance is 25% of her Alpha's maximum range per charge. So at 4 charges consumed (which can only happen at level 9) you're getting pushed back potentially, really far. This push distance is stopped by the first wall/obstacle an enemy collides with (it would look, and feel very silly if an enemy was sent curving around terrain like Ibara's vines do.)
  • This ability deals bonus damage if an opponent collides with Ibara's Faith Shield. (I was considering it being any wall, but since that would probably happen every time she uses the ability, this feels more fair/interesting). It's not like a crazy amount of bonus damage, just something.

Quirk Skill Beta! Via Dolorosa
This move, drives me insane. I like how in the show, Ibara is incredibly powerful, and she demonstrates a lot of fine control over her quirk, but she seems to be completely immobile when focusing on its more complex applications. So it's cool that she stands still when she does this ability. HOWEVER!

  • Now there is a hold button version and a tap version!
  • (Holding the Button) Ibara sends her vines forward, filling the space in front of her, much like now, but she can keep them in that space for a few seconds longer. (Vines remaining in the space function damage-wise more like Shigaraki's AOE, they just deal ticking damage, not knocking back opponents who step into it after the initial impact) While Ibara is doing this, she receives reduced damage from sources in front of her. (The idea being that her vines are protecting her). The damage reduction is increased with level.
  • (Tapping the button) Ibara only sends her vines in the space immediately in front of her (she doesn't have the few that stretch out like a good distance beyond), but in exchange she stops the ability much quicker like it's about the same duration as her Alpha animation. She still gets the damage reduction thing too.
  • I'm going to say she keeps her super armor, because, although personally I don't think she really needs armor and damage reduction I don't know how annoying it would be to get this move interrupted a million times a game when it's original intent is a get off me button lol.
  • The damage reduction scales from 20% at level 1 to 75% at level 9. Or ya know, whatever numbers would make you happy.

**Ability Gamma! Crucifixion! **
Now I don't think there's really much reason to change the gamma especially with these changes to her other abilities. I think it's nice how you can actually cancel it early if you're taking a lot of damage. So that already fixes the issue that I have with her beta. However, a lot of characters do grabby things now, and this ability has gotten powercrept by like all of them. So I want to give it something...

  • While Ibara has someone captured, her vines deal damage in a small area around her, knocking back enemies. (This damage and knockback isn't anything crazy)
    This change is mainly to give her grab something that feels natural and unique to her playstyle. It feels strange to just extend the range to compete with Shinso's alpha grab, or have her move around somehow with it like All Might or Shigaraki. So just a little area around her that can disrupt a close team fight if she gets a grab in the middle of the chaos.

And i do agree, taking away her res is a huge nerf by itself, and if we take the shield would be like momo but a bit bigger and its tied to a charge instead of like momo or todo beta that u have to destroy em if they are well placed, it would compesate if she could also shield herself while shielding a teammate, but well

Ppl like to cry a lot, calling ibara broken for 2 revives is dumb, specially agaisnt teams that know what they are doing on top of being tryhards
Yea its good having 2 revives, but still Ibara is in a rough spot, when most chars nowadays can 3v1 or survive a 3v1 easily, she has a hard time on 2v1, 3v1 is even worse, by that alone its stupid to call her broken just by 2 revives that even with reinforced revive are useless agaisnt a tryhard team
Oh and also ibara has a bad matchup agaisnt red kendo and strike hawks
I hate strike hawks being able to stun lock just with uncharged alphas, its annoying asf
Anyway, Ibara is in a rough spot on this meta, making her work is 50% effort of the one who is playing her and 50% covered by her teammates that doesnt let her die

No i mean, it doesnt work like that, everything adds up until u reach 500 down power, thats when it triggers a hard knockdown and u get iframes
The thing is that the examples i gave, those alphas barely has any down power, assmight alphas are 0 down power(yes u can do the double beta combo of assmight and while the other guy is still falling u can land as many alphas as u want) meaning it wont make u get knockdown
And everything still adds up until u get to the 500 down power mark,

I have the same playstyle for a long time, it works for me, i would only consider new options if i see em like useful or funny, but well, its preference, i dont like being stalled 10 seconds in the air and getting punished for it just for a chance of an alpha i can hit on ground (ofc helps the fact that im pc so i can aim better) or i dont like wallrun bc i dont have the need to climb buildings that often
