Also, you have absolutely no data to back up your claim that "people are making microsoft accounts just to play fortnite on xcloud". You're making that claim out of thin air as a baseless accusation. But even if it were true, to use xCloud, you have to have a paid subscription to Game Pass Ultimate, so they would be paying customers just as yourself, and just as entitled to use the service as you are.

it will never replace local gaming, there will always be lag due to different factors involved like distance from datacenter, cause it has to ping that before you see the next input on screen. also Wired connection does a better job too

There is 15 Mbps-ish bitrate cap in the system for now. So, the speed of your internet is statistically not a big factor here. Your connection stability (ping stability) is the lead factor. If you managed to stabilize it, the best way to play is that you can play on edge browser with clarity boost option

Does someone know how to reduce input lag on xbox cloud gaming ? I was playing on my bedroom via 5 GHz Wi Fi, with 200-250 mbps of internet speed and it was running fine, with zero delay, until february, 18, which was when the lag started. I even tried to play with an ethernet cable on my living room, and even though it measured 400 mbps, it still lagged.

Yeah, I tried the free version of GeForce Now to play Destiny 2 and I was not impressed. The free version only gives you an hour and the full subscription gives you four hours for (at the time) far more than Xbox Game Pass subscription. The very least they could do is make it unrestricted access for a full subscription.

To put that in perspective, when I was playing the game before using GeForce Now (at about 20-30FPS) a single mission usually took me about an hour and a half if I take the time to explore. I can complete a mission and get back to the menu to quit within an hour but I have to rush through the mission and skip the secrets and items which kind of sucks the fun out of playing the game for me.

It's great that you can try it out with lower quality settings (and a waiting queue sometimes), but doesn't work as a gaming device replacement

That's not really the issue the issue is that I don't want to pay that much for a cloud gaming service that I only use for one game only to be kicked off because IRL stuff interfered when a single mission in Destiny 2 takes more than an hour. Any kind of acquisition comes with its own contracts and requirements. There are also often existing deals in place before the acquisition happens that can affect things.

In this case, Nintendo invested funding into Bayonetta 2 and 3 to make it happen. Without that funding those games wouldn't exist. The chances of those not being exclusive if Xbox were to acquire Platinum are unknown as no one has any insight into what the contract terms are.

It might be less viable in It Takes Two. I've been informed there's a few boss fights where you have to control both characters at exactly the same time.

In A Way Out, you can mostly get away with controlling one at a time, except for one section where one person has to do something and the other has to distract the guards.

Cloud Gaming is a beta product. Currently it is restricted only to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers and only to Game Pass Console games. Microsoft has tried one true free game that anyone can play without a subscription as part of their testing / launch process.

More games, including non-game pass games potentially, will come as time goes on. More fully free games may come as time goes on too, but there is no guarantee.

Hello!

I am trying to play MLB The Show 23 on Xbox Cloud Gaming, but the resolution is so low that I cannot see anything I'm doing. It's almost pitch dark. I doubt I can do anything about it, but if I can let me know. It's really annoying, as I am being charged $5 more just for cloud gaming, and I wanted to play this game so bad.

Also, in the Xbox App for windows, I do not see anything (no button) that says "cloud gaming" on it

its max of 1080p and reliant on a good connection. plus there are many variables that come into play when using it. and you need like minimum of 10Mb

That's likely never going to happen. Cloud Gaming is playing from XBox Series consoles in a data center. Have they even talked about the possibility of it being possible for PC games? I keep up with all news and I've never even heard that.

Not all game pass games are available through cloud streaming. Microsoft doesn’t provide explanations for each one’s absence unfortunately. You’ll just have to wait and see if they add it some day.
