it is possible but the gaming experience on Intel HD graphics would certainly leave a lot to be desired. I heard AMD's Radeon graphics APUs destroy them. You can at least play games at a decent resolution and get decent performance, further enhanced I'd imagine when FSR support grows

I don't believe it is high fps or high graphics. GPU I have I can crank every setting to max while playing at 1440p and whatever game I throw at it I'm likely to see no less than 60 FPS with most of them sitting closer to that triple figure, 100+ FPS zone. I can't believe I'm saying it but should anyone else get a 6800 XT I'd target 4K. Most games should still push FPS greater than 60, even at maxed settings and once FSR becomes more common set that to ultra quality and games that maybe don't quite make it should be able to. Forget about ray tracing at 4K though

I made sure to include that at the end. Ray tracing really does hit far too heavy.
At 4K one would probably want to find a guide where someone explains and shows each graphics setting and all the options and instead of doing what I do where I aimlessly set any game I play to maxed settings (minus ray tracing) they will probably want to look at what settings can be dropped to gain performance without hurting visual quality in any way and tbh, once I go 4K I'll be doing the same too. Any performance gain where there is little to no change in visual quality I'll gladly take. Especially if it mounts up to more than 20%. Pair that with FSR and it may just be enough to make ray tracing viable

This RDNA 3 card is going to have 3 times that and like a Ryzen CPU more than one GPU die

currently at 1440p I'm seeing as much as 100 FPS in a game like Cyberpunk 2077 but max out ray tracing and performance tanks to as low as 20 FPS. Pretty ridiculous drop that imo

yup, and I think that scales regardless of resolution. 1080p it may be viable on my current hardware but it would seem the 6800 XT isn't as good at 1080p as it is at 1440p or 4K

One thing though, Cyberpunk 2077 being an Nvidia feature title it uses DLSS so those on Nvidia may be fine. Though only one GPU at this time has more VRAM than AMD's 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT. That being the 3090. I feel the 3080's 10GB, even the 3080 Ti's 12GB may hold it back at 4K

Microsoft encrypt their gamepass games in WindowsApps, or WpSystem folders for DRM reasons.
Even administrator privileges cannot access it normally. You would need to change the ownership from the system to your user which is a pain and you can seriously mess up with apps if you do it wrong.

If seeing how much storage is your concern I recommend using the program "TreeSize Free". It circumvents all that permissions and ownership stuff and just tells you how much storage is being taken up by those files.

just bought Chernobylite and the game looks great. Plays really well too. 1440p and maxed settings I'm getting well over 100 FPS. Yet another game that doesn't test my 6800 XT. Beginning to think only when I move to 4K gaming that I'll find games test it and even then, these games exceeding 100 FPS will still likely be above my "playable" minimum of 60 FPS. If not, between lowering some settings and using FSR (in supported titles) I'm sure I'll get any game back over that line

depends on what you were doing for the CPU to spike so much like that. Could also be how your CPU is reacting to boost vs the cooler but that is certain a bit on the odd side i think. With the exception of some rare spikes it should be a more steady temperature increase

if you shoot them in both their lungs they do sort of an animation

instead of the traditional death which is just falling over

currently going on a rampage shooting police in blackwater

also

if you shoot an RDR2 lawman in the Spinal cord

they just stop going for you and try to Run

before falling over and putting their hands on their chest to stop their bleeding

Also, blackwater is still fully explorable in story mode

despite arthur having an Automatic Dead or alive bounty

Fun Fact : rockstar tries to make sure you CANT enter blackwater by putting tons of cops

every road in Blackwater has cops, and when your in there Patrols of cops spawn and go to arthurs location

making it impossible to hide

Also, this fact is already pretty heavily known

but you can make a cop drop their repeater or rifle by shooting their left arm

pretty much. I use it more of a best case scenario. If I can run a game at maxed settings then why not? though at the same time I will look out for guides online that go through each setting to see if there is any performance to be gained from lowering some settings without impacting visual quality too much. Most times there is so I will apply those settings on games that maybe don't maintain at least 60 FPS - that being the very least I expect from my PC but so far it has crushed every game I have tested

as long as it has hyperthreading I don't see how or why it would bottleneck it but Nvidia GPUs do have an overhead issue that in some games using certain settings may impact performance.

on top of that is the 3090 really necessary? I'm sure a 3080 is far cheaper, sure you'll miss out on 14GB of VRAM but the actual performance difference between them is so small it is hard to even recommend a 3090, same applies to the 3080 Ti.
If you want more VRAM than a 3080 without paying 3090 prices you might want to look at AMD's 6800 XT. Performs similar to the 3080 outside of games that can use DLSS and comes with 16GB VRAM compared to the 3080's 10GB

All AMD just make sure your motherboard is up to date and either a Ryzen 3000 or 5000 CPU and RX 6000 series GPU and enable SAM/resizeable bar and done

850W is more than enough. Nvidia recommend 750W based on a system with an i9 10900K and I think it was a 3080 or 3090. PowerColor recommend 850W for my 6800 XT Red Devil yet it only uses 2x 8 pin cables from the PSU and my PSU is 650W runs just fine Sometimes I feel the whole requirements on PSUs are overdone but if you want to plan ahead definitely go more than 650W at this point. Next gen top end cards could be 400W+ whoppers! Which would also mean 3x 8 pin since 2x 8 pin + pcie power only supplies up to 375W

What resolution is your laptop's screen? generally with a laptop the whole system isn't as high spec as the desktop counterparts and due to far less area for air to move about in you will also find laptops run hotter which will result in components like the CPU and GPU not operating at their best (throttling) which will lower performance

yeah, the HDR on it I was quite excited to see but found it underwhelming. No fault of the game devs or that though. Windows implementation seems to be the issue. Something that idk if is fixed with windows 11 and auto HDR

also, if you notice flickering on your display look for and enable an option within the monitor's OSD called VRR Control. Should be in the system settings

the 6700 XT is going into the ryzen 3600 machine that had a dead 980 Ti, and then i think moms getting it so she can race with us in forza

according to techpowerup there is more than 50% in it between the 6700 XT and 3080 Ti. 68% relative performance (however they are measuring it) but cost is still the big one. $479 vs $1199 (launch prices)

heh either way enjoy just watch out for the screen burn in with the OLED!

i think they are using there own testing, so for 1440p the 3080ti is 40% faster than the 6700XT on average

and 62% faster for 4k

im not gonna use the oled for pc, only for xbox and movies, i have 1440p 240 hz for pc

so thats like 60% faster

mom is learning to play forza on the 3600 + 6700 XT pc already, she sucks at it but shes getting better 😄 shes gonna do a freeroam party with me and dad in horizon 5 in november 😄
