I believe the reason RTX 30 (and older) doesn't support DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) is due to the lack of an optical flow accelerator - Something RTX 40 series has. Though it is probably still possible to implement Frame Generation without it, it won't be anywhere near as efficient and may even come with a performance cost

why not go for an X3D CPU? As I said earlier they are pretty much as good as it gets for gaming performance. There is likely some performance you could squeeze out of your system if you went with a 5800X3D as is when compared to your 5600. Enough to justify the upgrade? I'm not so sure but extra performance is always good. I'd probably look at upgrading from AM4 platform if Zen 5 turns out good tbh but again, I'd wait on the 8800X3D. If it shows the same improvements in performance 7800X3D compared to the 5800X3D did then it will be worth it but that will mean upgrading motherboard and RAM too so it will cost a fair bit initially (close to £1000 I'd imagine)

They are not always compatible with each other. You could check the file location in PC gaming wiki and replace the files to see if it works

First time I've ever ran into anything like that since as far back as when I played Destiny 2 (before it went free to play). That's the only other game I know that blocked the use of 3rd party overlays like RTSS and tbh I can game without them but I prefer to monitor how my hardware is running while playing to ensure all is good.

You could ask the manufacturer support what the sequence means if not and then start troubleshooting. If it sometimes turns on also check the bios is up to date just incase and maybe clear the cmos also as a start. Beyond that you probably want to troubleshoot hardware

Bios version will be on the motherboard UEFI, just download the latest version it you don't have the latest. Clearing cmos you can either take the battery out or use the jumper on the pins. You need to check the manual for that

some motherboards also have a dedicated clear CMOS button but those tend to only be available on more expensive motherboards but yeah, would need to refer to the motherboard manual and either remove the CMOS battery or short two pins marked as CMOS Clear in the manual for I believe up to 10 seconds while the system is entirely powered down (power supply off too) and for BIOS updates, these aren't automatic so if you are unsure how to update the BIOS there is a high chance it is not up to date and may need updating depending on CPU and other factors. You can find BIOS updates for your motherboard on the support page for your board. There should also be a guide on how to install them

I had the luxury of the dedicated CMOS clear button a while back but not now. Removing the battery itself or having to short some pins is quite an inconvenience imo and similar to how BIOS flashback has become included on boards these days as standard I kind of hope CMOS clear button does the same eventually as a lot could go wrong if you don't follow the manual's instructions properly and that button would just make the whole troubleshooting step where clearing CMOS is recommended that bit less... troublesome

I'm not sure the BIOS could be the issue. Early on in the video you posted above the light seemed to stall on the VGA (white) LED which would indicate an issue with the graphics card. Might be worth reseating the GPU and seeing if that solves the white LED stalling

like on a flat screen monitor when I was first getting used to the curved display first time with my old Samsung Odyssey G7 (2020 model). My brother would shout me through to help him with something on his PC and it was like the screen was reverse curved of the curved screen, it was odd and your eyes don't pick up the curve while the monitor is on but take a pic of it with a phone etc and the curve can become very clear. Only other times you will see the curve is when looking at the monitor from a side or standing up

Depends which games you want to play really. RX580 is pretty old as well now. Series s would do a better job in new games.

If it’s some older games or free to play titles like CS2 or Overwatch the 580 will be ok. But it’s not going to play Alan wake 2 or anything.

really good offer for $900. Just a shame it is ultrawide and Samsung. I'd steer clear of them if you want a monitor with features that will actually work and not give you issues. If you do buy then all you can hope for is you didn't draw the bad end of the monitor lottery they seem to have going on. Even on their higher end monitors there can be major issues the such you just would not expect from a company the size of Samsung and their expertise with displays to be making

Yeah I feel like its anecdotal there. Given the fact that Samsung is a leading manufacturer of panels worldwide for other brands, too. My current monitor is the G7 and it was used from a friend. Buy it on a credit card that doubles your warranty.

Easily, and probably somewhere around high or even ultra depending on how much FPS you want. I had everything on the highest possible and I got 100+ FPS with a 3080ti and i9-12900k

Do keep in mind the campaign is very short and really not that good compared to other years, sadly.

It seems like you connect your ARGB fans to it, and then it connects to a USB header on the motherboard. If it's that simple, then I want it.

There are other ARGB hubs but all they do is turn one ARGB header into many. Since my motherboard doesn't have one, that seems useless.

I'd say that is normal, yeah. Updating the OS etc will cause the CPU to be in use so 65c is probably possible and nothing to worry about as it would only be under that load for as long as it takes the update(s) to finish then settle back down to temperatures closer to idle when done

Firstly, to get games playing better than a Series X, you’ll need a decent budget. The Series X is very optimised so to outperform it, you’ll need to understand what you need to do so.

You’ll run games fine at 1080p and/or with DLSS but just set your expectations correctly.

I have seen a trend with new games demanding more RAM than previous years

It’s very easy to pull up a picture of requirements for the types of games you play

8GB is still healthy for 1080p gaming

Some 1440p/4K situations may saturate 8GB quickly

And it of course depends on optimisation of the game too.

And honestly I don’t think I play too much intensive games on my PC due to having my xbox

Because rn I’m looking at a 3060 12GB and a 4060 8GB

I'd probably pick the newer of the two tbh. Sure, it has 50% less VRAM but at 1080p 8GB should still be acceptable and the newer hardware has access to more recent features and improvements that likely won't feature at all on the RTX 30 series cards (like Frame Generation for instance)

And is much better than Bluetooth, but they can be hard to find for some reason

you dont need a subscription to play a game you own offline. Restart your xbox if you just brought it. You do need core to play online multiplayer
