Sucks that Avowed didn't get one. It got close with the Steelbook edition, and even then. I'm guessing that OW2 will do the same. Hard to imagine if we will ever get another XGS release on a physical release. The last one was Forza Motorsport and before that was Halo Infinite.

No Rest for the Wicked is currently only available on PC via Steam. However, there are plans to release it on current-gen systems, including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, although no release date has been announced yet

If your display supports it, then set the console to 120Hz in the display settings.

Not sure if the game picks it up automatically or not. Some do, some don't. If it doesn't, there should be an option in the game menu to enable 120fps.

It seems like they are going to go 2nd party, if that is the right term for it. A 3rd party usually has indicated trust and consistent quality amongst devs they hire and unfortunately micro manage. Xbox cannot even do that so I think their future going forward is GamePass and licensing their IPs to any developer they approve of.

No offense, Halo is a peak example. No good game since 2010. Halo could benefit from licensing to other devs and it can expand to other genres.

It is cancelled as in, the team (or whats left of them) will now support FH going forward. We have to see if they will keep a skeleton crew supporting Motorsport. I do not expect any other Motorsport game (i.e. Motorsport 9) or any major updates to release for 8. Given the online requirement and Turn 10 great track record of maintaining servers up, I would not expect Motorsport to be killed off anytime soon.

As for how official this information is--as official as we are going to get. A good tale tale sign is the Forza X's account. That used to be a very active account. They have not made a single post since d-day.

Aside from it being a bit offensive to call the layoff announcement day "d-day", it is also the 4th of july holiday weekend up here.
At minimum Microsoft gave people friday off, some smaller parts also gave thursday off, and between a short week and a stressful week many people took other days off last week too.

Consoles are sold at a loss and the cost is subsidised by subscriptions and software. Giving free online would increase the cost of the console.

for the most part you have to be verified to sell so it’s not just some bums stealing codes. Definitely some corruption or something with the code distribution system if they’re able to mass sell game pass codes for 1/3 or 1/2 the price. I actually started paying the standard price and buying from Microsoft but with the price change I’m going right back to the 3rd party. $30 a month is a joke you’re better off buying the games you actually want to play at this point, it’s not like we get too many GOTYs these days.

Yeah I would not worry of Xbox no longer making consoles, while its true they might never catch up to Sony, the console itself is not going away bc lots of people have already purchased many games that only work on console.

From what I know MS does not make profit from consoles, its the selling of games, game pass and service aspect of the Xbox where the profit lies, same thing Sony does.

Been exactly 2 months since I tried this at gamescom and I'm still amazed by how good this game is!
Couple hours in and had a total blast. Platinum went all out on the combat again! Gotta call it here or I'll be up all night 😅

Yup I keep saying it over and over it just feels good to play. Ninja Gaiden 2 Black was my first game and the controls would be frustrating at times because it felt like dying was the games fault. With 4 dying is like "yeah thats a you problem" only in chapter 2 but its so fun.

It feels surprisingly similar to Bayonetta/Automata but yet still nails the Ninja Gaiden mechanics. Really great mix. Dying is no problem for me I play on hard and love the trial and error! :)

I’m mainly a PlayStation player, but I’ve been thinking about picking up an Xbox Series S as a secondary console. I got interested after watching the creator Rickster2344, especially his videos showing the Series S with a portable screen setup — it made the console look way more flexible than I expected.
I already use a Microsoft account for Minecraft, and if I get one, it wouldn’t be my main console. It’d mostly be for Xbox-only games like Halo and for times when I want something portable. I really like the square design of the Series S since it seems easy to take places. I’ve seen portable PlayStation setups, but they look pretty bulky and awkward compared to how the Series S sits with a screen.
Because of that, I’m considering used or reseller listings instead of buying brand new. I just want to avoid overpaying or ending up with a bad unit.
If anyone has advice on where to buy safely, what to look out for with resellers, or whether portable screens (like the xScreen or similar) are actually worth it, I’d really appreciate it.

Going off my theory, the Stellar Blade port to Xbox (considering that's a game that was originally planned for Xbox) should've happened (unless 18 months from the PC port, then it's a December 2026 release. Same with DS2)
