DayZ is not on Game Pass for PC. Only for console. You don't need a controller for any of the PC games.
If you have Game Pass Ultimate your only option would be streaming it and that requires the use of an controller (since games streamed from microsoft's servers are basically running on Xbox Series Hardware).
Most controllers are supported. If you own a PS4, PS5 or Nintendo Switch, just connect one of these controllers and they will work with xCloud. It doesn't have to be the Xbox one.

What do you mean?
When I go to the first link I shared, I can search for 'Halo', see it in the list, click on it, and see the "Play now..." button in my browser.

If I go back to that first link and isntead of searching for 'Halo' I just click the 'Cloud' button to show all cloud games, I can scroll down and find it there too.

Note that when you click on Halo 5, you're only going to see the 'play now' button if you are actually logged in. If you aren't logged in you'll just see a 'buy' or 'get it with game pass' button

Guys can someone please help me? When I'm trying to download/install a game on the XBox app on my PC the game is preparing the whole time and the launcher tries to find some kind of Updates. It says: Checking for Updates and Preparing, but it's going for ever. What can I do? I have tried restarting my PC, close the app with task manager or install the game through the Microsoft Store. I've also tried doing the Updates in the Microsoft Store or Windows Updates but it just wont work.

Sure, but Game Pass has the advantage that it is a digital license you're getting. So you can play the game on a Series S (which has no disc slot). Also if you already ahve Game Pass usbscription it is 'free' which is less than $15 😛
