So, I bought standard Xbox game pass, and then at some point, I decided I'd upgrade to ultimate, because I was offered a 2 week trial for $1, so I did that and those 2 weeks covered the date that my regular Xbox game pass would charge me, so I kinda saved money, I think. And then, before the 2 weeks ended and I would've been charged for the full price of gamepass Ultimate, I changed my plan back to standard. A few weeks after that, I was trying to play an online multiplayer game with my friend, when I saw that I supposedly didn't have the required subscription to do that? I figured I'd just accidentally cancelled my previous subscription instead of changing back to standard gamepass, and then re-subscribed to Xbox gamepass. Then, about a week after THAT, I was charged $11 for something called "PC gamepass", which I do not recall subscribing to. Finally, I was playing a game called moonlighter last night, I turned it off and cancelled this PC gamepass subscription, and then suddenly, today, it's not letting me back into the game because I don't have the required subscription? I know this is a large message, I've never heard of PC gamepass before, my standard Xbox gamepass subscription is still currently active.

Standard game pass doesn't have online play. You either need Core (which is the rebranded Gold) or Ultimate, but if you want access to PC games, online multiplayer, XBox games and/or cloud, you need Ultimate.

As far as what I've seen from Google, Xbox gamepass allows you to play a wide selection of Xbox games for free or on a slight discount, whereas PC gamepass exclusively allows the same benefits, but for PC games. I have a 70mb connection. That's pretty much the standard in the UK. Not super fast, but fast enough to download games at a reasonable pace, but cloud runs like crap for me.

Yes. Ultimate is just the highest tier and includes all the games on Game Pass, EA Play, PC Game Pass, CLoud Play and Core (so you can play online in paid games.)
