I've gamed on PC for two years and it was great, until I started running into the pitfalls. I mainly hate not having access to lots of games that console has, like the older Forza games. Plus no cheaters, no driver issues, etc. on console. And all achievements in one place.

like we have a mod for backpacks... and it is one of the super important mods that has blocked us from upgrading off an old minecraft version, lol.
there were multiple levels of backpack you could craft of different sizes, you could dye them, when you took the backpack off and put it on the ground the items stayed in it, and there were even a couple of special attachments you could build - i spent the effort to make, umm what was it... a solar cell or a momentum cell or something, but basically it would slowly charge any item you had in the backpack as long as you were moving around. super handy
then there wer UI mods like jei that woudl add a popup to your inventory that showed you how to craft somethign you hovered over, or what you coudl craft with a material you hovered over

i love dmz. The bots r a bit overpowered, and a bit blood hungry lol. You can see on how people move if they are real, and the big backpacks😉. Loot is only saved if you exfill. There are some great youtube videos, ive learned alot from that. Doesnt meani dont die(often).. but the idea is great and i love the suspense as soon as you land. I mostly play solo, cuz my other friends that play arent always onboard for dmz. So Ive not done any of the harder missions. Mostly they hate that if they die they loose all, and have to start over. But to make it out alive with a few missions done. and great loot.. its such a rush

We used to be able to get Amazon giftcards here in Ireland too but since there's no Amazon Ireland it's converted to British pounds, they have now recently added the ones I've mentioned above

wasn't really that interested in the game tbh anyways but it was fitting Square Enix and exclusives were brought up and I just had to mention this. If it does release, even a year later I might play it but it would be frustrating if it doesn't release and stays on PS when there were originally plans for it to be on PC too

well I hope it isn't another case of hyping it up like what Naughty Dog did with TLOU part 1 saying it was close to release on PC only for the rest of 2022 to go by and it be announced for March 3rd 2023. I don't mind the wait but teasing something and another outcome happens kind of annoys me. That's another game (TLOU part 1) I look forward to playing (and for the first time too!)

Not only are they much cheaper, but also reliable and hassle-free compared to gaming PCs.

You're talking about PC owners buying a second device for exclusives - a device that the console manufacturers typically make a loss on. They profit from the software which you are still buying on PC.
But there's way more people still buying consoles for the simple fact they are not PCs. Much easier to use, considerably cheaper and convenient.

This is Microsoft's entire business plan. Again, they make a loss on the console hardware and profit from the software.
The number of people who owned both a PC and a console is much lower than those who own a PC and wished for the games to release on PC.
Now Microsoft gets to earn money from the sales of those games on more platforms.
If they needed you to buy the console they wouldn't release the games on PC. They're not stupid.

Even if we exclude Nintendo (who is extremely unlikely to suddenly put their exclusives on PC), many people still like the simplicity of a console for gaming, not having to worry about driver updates, changing graphics settings or checking if the latest game will run properly

far from it. Giving the player more choice, which imo is only a good thing. Shame it took this long for some to see it this way but hey, here's to progress that gamers can enjoy the likes of Halo or God of War on one platform and I hope it continues and improves (aka games release faster or preferably at the same time as they release on PS5)
