i know the conversation happening around it and don't actually mind what exp did with ai with their game... but knowing the rules of the selection process is tricky

I feel like people are petty when it comes to AI in games

I'm fine with it, so long as it's limited, and it can vary on the game and size

People only seem to be fine with it when it's the game they adored tho. Other games are getting dragged hard over AI in them. And there needs to be healthy limits and conversation about when and where it's ok.

It's been months of near all out war on AI in games from the gaming peeps until this, so I'm like..

A healthy middle needs to exist but also 😂

They still should not have lied, and submitted when the requirements were clearly listed.

It would have let other games shine and get the chance to have the excitement of winning or being nominated. And that is really unfair to everyone

yeah, that's probably where I draw the line. If at least 80% of the game was built using AI, imo it loses craft

i watched or read something earlier that said the only thing e33 used ai for was some placeholders for some texture that was not actually used in the final product but was left in the game files

seems like a stupid reason to disqualify a game like they just want to pander to the hate ai crowd
