I've noticed my rake is a 50/50 chance of stunning when used from stealth, (Making sure they're not protected via holy ward, trinket etc or dodging seeing as it puts the bleed up but no stun. It happens to me when my stealth get dropped by some effect just as i come to press. like if i restealth and rake, but a bleed tick reveals me before, or stepping into a flare to rake, etc

Nope, Completely barebones with 0 macros. Made sure to make everything as minimal as possible to figure out the issue. Stealth - Walk up to target - Left click (so not to auto) Press rake. Completely in stealth, no dots on me or buffs on them (tested on afk targets) and roughly a 50% stun rate with rake
Just confused as to why it's not registering a stun but is connecting the damage/dot component even in those situations

Yeah it’s kinda a weird spec to play since you don’t really cast any of your normal PvE rotation abilities. You mainly try to clone/build power then starsurge with all your CDs activated.
I suggest playing with a Rogue. They’ll get the CC at the start of the game, allowing you to burst immediately. And they can blind when an enemy trinkets your clone to maintain pressure. Can be a very rewarding setup.

And if we're talking 3's most rogues will probably want to play RMP
especially on lower rating (unless it's higher rated people on alts) I feel like people only queue up the top meta comp and don't even consider other comp options
Had the same issue last season when I looked for a mage to play Windwalker - Fire Mage - Healer ( a pretty popular comp that also saw a lot of play in AWC) but I only got comments like " lol why would I play with a windwalker when I can play with a rogue"

To be honest i've relied on my 2200/ Duelist achieves i earned as a rogue/resto druid to find the classes and skilled players. I can't speak for someone new just starting Arena. It must be hard unless one is willing to put the time in to find a friendly player also willing to commit to learning.

To elaborate you'll do more damage with just swarm jumps onto enemies and keeping up moonfire than you would with offensive convokes, not to mention if you're comfortable with feral aff and getting out rake rips every so often. And necro is also far superior healing throughput.
Playing necro you can get 5 stacks of swarm on yourself (extending with VI) before gates even open and they'll stay on you after game starts so that helps a bit with swarm uptime on friendlies and enemies too.
