To add to whatever everyone else has said, you can go for any DPS and healer combo as a safe choice for beginners if you end up commiting to arena.
Feral's best healer is always gonna be a priest but reasons for that are far beyond what beginners are capable of taking advantage off of, so just pick the specs you like
Just keep in mind you will likely get rolled for an hour or two before you settle at a reasonable MMR for your gear and experience
I wouldn't recommend double DPS if you want the games to be of any substance. They will end instantly in either direction until you get to a MMR where you actually need to be better than pressing W and rolling your keyboard, at which point double DPS is much harder to play
Either way you won't get fun out of instantly decided games by faceroll and then you won't get fun out of your opponents rolling you at some more reasonable rating cuz you have no idea what you're doing
And 1400-1500 rating is totally achievable, me and my partner went from 0 experience to 2300 MMR in 1.5 months of SL season 1. I think we got to 1400 by day 4.

' and "keep up starfall" unless you're playing a rot comp.
You have two team-fight related jobs as a Boomkin, the first job is to be pooling AP for your BoAT go's and then spending it when there's CC out and a target swap called. Spread dots as much as you're able to, but they're just to generate AP for your go's.
- Pool AP, Cast 1 of your 2 spells to enter Eclipse.
- Root+beam the non-druid healers, enter eclipse, unload 3 starsurges onto the target called
- Spam wrath, and either starsurge as you hit 30 if they're low or pool till 90 and then unload another 3 back to back.
Your second job is be spamming Cyclone prioritizing healers with no active DR, otherwise peeling melee off your backline.]
