I haven't touched pvp in s2 yet and haven't seen much specifics on the value of Dom sockets in pvp other than "they're probably good". I'm sure comparing a 239 Dom piece with your desired secondary/vers stats against a comparable ilvl piece is likely in favor of the socket, but how much value is the socket compared to ilvl?

For example, if you have a 239 chest with dom and desired stats versus a 246 chest with no dom socket in pvp areas, how close can that comparison be? While I'm sure DPS value their gems more as % increases tend to scale strong, what about some of the defensive utility gems? Is there a sweet spot consensus on this?
