oath makes rdruid invincible and the extra ysera's gift healing is significant

well...... invincible as long as you get a chance to go bear form

and it's risky to guess they're going to go for you and switch to bear pre-emptively, wasting your oath proc

kinda have to trinket a stun and go bear form and hope they don't know how your legendary works and you easily live with double frenzied regen and +25% stam

if they know how the legendary works they'd just treat the bear form as a super defensive and swap

in raids, the ysera's gift boost alone from oath of the elder druid is supposedly worth ~120 hps, while the best rdruid raid throughput legendary gives about 320 HPS. that's 320 HPS if you're using a ton of rejuvs in a raid of 20. 120 hps is super solid for pvp where the throughput legendary sux

plus if you're guardian affinity you get an additional 4.5% damage reduction from oath of the elder druid

so i'd say oath of the elder druid can easily be better than verdant legendary. verdant legendary lets you extend hots on someone that has full hots, but that makes you extra vulnerable to swaps. you swiftmend someone with tons of hots, they swap to you, you don't have oath of the elder druid giga bearform to survive. your legendary can end up doing nothing

I'm new to PvP. Does this mean that heals are 20% more effective at the start of the game in 2v2's?

Dampening reduces healing. In 3v3, it starts at 5 minutes, with 1% added every 10 seconds or so. It started at 20% from the gates opening in 2v2 for hte longest time. Now it'll start at 0, but start adding up immediately.
