Okay so:
The thing that's the biggest hurdle is blur / evasion in combination with quick burst and range shutdown, specifically:
When I try and burst blur / evansion gets used which shuts down me spending cp to get of roots / heals, mass root does help there however sofar it breaks to fast to get of a cyclone from far enough away that I don't get step kicked or for dh ccd from rage
Further if I try and tank the initial burst I might survive a bit longer in bear with cds however after which I cant get in pressure due do the dodges
Whenever I do get away a few seconds it's most of the time not enough time to top myself of at which point the micro burst is enough to force me back into bear else I get killed in 4 seconds
For rogue specifically the cc chain is very hard as I can only trinket once which mostly has to be right in the opener as just plain bear and bark is not enough to get me to a point at which I can come back from
The newest strategy is 5yd more range on cyclone which leaves me with a narrow window in which I should be out of range and together with hotw may be fast enough to cast a cyclone which will at most force a trinket after which I might be off stun dr for a bash or if I could not rip before maybe a maim for 3 gcds to apply dots and run away again (note: likely not enough time to get bt up and all 3 dots if I use maim)
Alright so that's the short of it 😅

What’s your opener then? If you get a rake stun on a dh and they don’t trinket blur it’s kinda hard for them to recover if you’re doing dmg properly. And if they do trinket then any root/clone they’ll have to sit full and you get to recover your health bar while they can’t. Like your statement later about rogue being hard is how dh should feel playing against you to some extent. Unless your next gcd is frenzied regen or you think youre about to get stunned you probably don’t really want to be in bear like ever

Alright first of all thank you very much for your answer 😁
The tricky part with the opener is getting that rake in a duel, because of eye and them jumping and dashing around all over the place for splash dmg, sometimes it workes tho with charge rake after that i think the new tech with mass root and 25yd range clone after a trinket might be a good enough start just need to try it out again a few times as the timing is rather tight with roots breaking sometimes rather quick
And for the rogue question, they don't kill me in the first go bur force a lot of cds as bark Regen isn't enough to get out of the burst with enough HP to go cat
But the scary part is the second go with low HP I can withstand it in bear but get out with Luke 20%-30% HP and more often then not no more dots up so I'm forced into cat and then often just die to normal dmg as I cant get away anymore to resustain, that however was before the switch to mass root and +5yd clone

the reason it matters is because you have tiger fury, bloodtalons , stealth rake, and sudden ambush which are all modifiers on your bleeds
if you reapply a bleed without the modifier, you lose the modifier
UNLESS, you pandemic it
which is when you refresh your bleed below a certain duration remaining
the remaining damage of that buffed bleed will carry over into the new one

hey i also just got started last expansion and it is rough. especially when you have access to people who are good at it because it becomes so clear to you so fast how much you don't know
however i do think there were steps that i was told to take that helped me a lot.
- focus on damage first. you just wanna get in there and try to maximize damage which could also mean doing things like sitting at target dummies for hours practicing
- figure out what you need to survive on your own which is a combination of when to press your defensives and when to kite. it can be overwhelming but what helped me most was to record games and watch them back immediately after the session. i'd see a warrior popping major cds on me and i'd drop dead without pressing barkskin with my healer in full cc.
you'll be told to download a ton of addons and i do think optimizing ui is super important but the main things that actually helped me improve were bigdebuffs set to show me when they were pressing major offensive cds. if it shows up on there, you gotta pay attention to it. even if you don't know what it is right now you can learn it over time.

However it has became hard to commit enough to get an arena team or to spend a day in lfg for a one-loss disband group 😞
I'm not claiming to be any good and looking to improve
However I don't think 2k8+ mmr in rbg is like 1600 in arena. A lot of players here are hota/glads. The only down side is that because of mmr being so much higher than cr, people just give up because they don't suffer any penalty for their loss
