wait so, 3 day rest, once each 7 days?
yeah
just cos it's slightly... neater? for 1 week, than 0.85 weeks per "adventuring day"
nope
Cuz it has a neat system for encounters but, i don't know much about that so, i'm looking for the opinion of someone who knows
I'm not so much on the mcdm hype train myself
Like, I don't think their stuff is bad, but it doesn't vibe with me
I usually don't like the mechanical side of building encounters so the book might be helpful
every step is written in a way most people could follow
imo
You could also use the 10 day week. So 7 work/activity days and 3 of rest
Yeah, if using tendays
Which is sort of how it is modeled in Xanathar's
Yeah, FR calendar is some funky thing of tendays, weird months, spacing days and leapdays.
Like the 29th Feb.
But more.
None of the weeks and months in the fr calendar line up to the year, so there's like... 15? "extra days" that are just there
I remember a short time in my life when I thought we were getting one more day on February every 4 years
And that to me meant one more day of vacations every 4 years
I went with a lunar cycle of 13 months, of 4 7 day weeks for mine.
Doubled down with two moons, one for month cycle and one for week cycle.
Then spread everywhere by the precataclysm society being super colonisey, imperialy, and having the power to back it up.
So basically every plane and planet either directly or indirectly adopted the amyrian calendar and clock
Reinforced further, by the big crystal that let everyone know what the time and date was, was one of the only pieces of magitech to survive the cataclysm, and one of the first things usable when magic came back
