Yes, that’s exactly what I can’t understand either , why they keep pushing this false idea and saying things like “SOLO didn’t live up to expectations.” I’ve been here for over a year and I haven’t seen a single person who spoke badly about SOLO , except for the developers themselves. It really feels like the team is trying to convince us that SOLO is something bad.
As an old player, I honestly can’t understand what’s going on and why there’s such a negative attitude toward the SOLO mode. For heaven’s sake, do you really think that the trios mode , where you can’t enjoy the game because some clueless teammate just ruins your match and wastes your time instead of actually playing as a team , is better?
A game is supposed to be fun first of all, and no mode provides that fun the way SOLO and Deathmatch do. We'll see, if hexes grant ranked points (which they imo should), then they will be heavily contested. Also, ranked will not be perfect from the start. I regularly send developers detailed feedback and if extracting hexes for ranked points will prove too effortless, i will bring that up.

It's not about a negative attitude - myself and many others quite enjoy solo.

It is unfortunate though that it wasn't a popular mode, the team TRIED so hard for months to make it work (you can go search for "Solos" in #games-news and see how often it was tried).

That doesn't mean to say that Solo's will never return. What it does mean though, is that it needs some more work and tuning to get it to a point where players choose it 🙂

I think solo test was ill timed last time. It was during the jack-o-hex event and it was more efficient to do a team of 3 every match for hexes than to do solo. I wanted to play solos but didn't because I needed more Jacko Packos

The reason is that the SOLO mode requires separate servers, while the trios mode works through a completely different system. That’s why during the last SOLO test run all other modes were disabled , they simply couldn’t run together. We’re not stupid, we understand that money doesn’t grow on trees, and the developers pay out of their own pockets for the rented servers. Running the SOLO mode alongside the other modes creates a huge load.
Just, for the love of God, don’t say that SOLO “wasn’t popular,” and that’s why it was removed…For all respect to game guys we still have a time to develop best game ever ..just dont miss it out ..in right hands OTG has no concurrents in WEB3 gaming ..

When I say the team tested every way possible to make it work, I'm not being hyperbolic. The Halloween Solo event wasn't a test, just a fun option to end off the event for those that wanted to get hexs in solos.

Throughout the entire lifetime of the game, SOLO was launched only a few times and for a very limited period. Everyone has their own things to do , some players might not have known at all that SOLO was active. That’s not a real indicator.
Launch SOLO and don’t disable it. Then, after a couple of months, look at how many players return to the game, how many leave, and how much everyone actually plays

Because the experience for a new player on this game on console is very different than it is for a new player on pc. The controls now feel overwhelming with the dash mechanic. It is constantly hit by accident when bound to L3.

Also getting stuck in crouch is a real issue.

Which ever since they added the built in auto sprint we get stuck in crouch constantly.

We need to be able to have the option to auto-sprint out of crouch.

And yes I have put in a feedback/suggestion about it.
