Its not the ability to aim its a binding conflict on mouse and key, using dash and kinetic in combination with movement like slide or just too quick can make the travel distance ZERO for dash and cybers

so looks like it just activates on the spot

Dash on slide bind conlifct and wastes charge and leaves players vulnderable. popped it in bug report a few times these past few months.
