while I agree with you (I hate getting stuck on rocks since update) the reason the finals can have destruction physics, besides the fact that embark is awesome, is because the textures are so simple unlike OTG. this game will never have destruction physics like that imo. it is technically possible though. Unreal 5* has something called "chaos mesh"
would be crazy time consuming to do though and incredibly demanding on servers/hardware
even arc raiders doesn't have destruction like that because of these reasons
